Thanks! I think i am in for a rude awakening when i submit the racer for the HH, The heavy hitters have been quietly putting together some monsters from what i hear.
It feels like it is pulling harder and gained a few rpm in the cut. Still doesnt feel right, i have a different chain to test with though and see what happens there.
It seems hard to really get the HP out of these things. Has anyone went for a pure mid-range torque monster build and just went with a bigger sprocket? Is it the open ports holding it back up top?
I started with 255psi and that still was ass in the mid range. I dont think you can make a torque monster out of them. A bigger chamber could potentially help at this point. Overall the entire cylinder sucks. Intake, transfers, and exhaust. Needs a ton of modification to make exceptional power. Not too sure, i know the open ports arent helping because they dont direct charge efficiently and dont aid scavenging. I learned a lot with this one, mainly that i have no clue how to build something without direction from others.

I do a ton of repairs, it is easy to get something to run much better than stock. It is difficult to get something to knock your socks off.
Doing much better now? What carb did you go with?

Yep, i just wanna see what i can do with the stock one. Idk if the carb is holding it back any because of how high it revs out.
