"The switches are digitally controlled. You don't believe me? How much more digital can you POSSIBLY get than by using DIGITS!" [Flicks switch throw with finger.]
It was very soothing listening you describing the history of the models and prototypes of all the engines. Thanks for making this video.

I love this guys commentary and I loved all those early locos especially that 3P would have loved to have seen many more shots of it running. Great video thanks for sharing the layout and all that information

What a beautiful layout you have. I really have enjoyed watching your collection in action. Doesn’t everything run nicely! Very envious indeed. I always wanted to build a layout, and I have a large collection of 00 and this enthuses me to start planning my own. Lovely.

Hello, it is always a pleasure to see this wonderful layout and hear Your presentation and explanations. I do live in Germany and I am a great fan of British steam locomotives and coaches! Thanks for sharing

Another great video (nice to see Chris Walsh keeping his hand in too) of this wonderful layout. So good to see the other elements too✌️💜😊👍
I love 4F's, I'm hoping to make one RC (Radio Control) in 7mm🤞🤞

Great presentation, thanks. Reminds me of my late best friend who used to build Kays, Wills, DJH kits etc. He was great at scratch building too. Skills we could be losing now with modern model provisions.

G'day there from New Zealand, not a Brit railway modeller or follower of the Brit prototype per sa but interested in great modelling and philosophies regardless of scale and nationality and the quality your layout and modelling is right up there and very inspiring to say the least and hits all the high points for me. Had to stop what I was doing on my modelling bench and watch this clip from start to finish. Thank you for sharing it on UA-cam.

I have a D16/3 locomotive in my collection. She doesn’t get much use because my home layout is a Southern steam Dad’s Army layout.

Those signals deserve more time for proper descriptions - the "Muddle & Go Nowhere" had some very distinctive ones . . .

Those early 50s coaches look as though they have just been released from the Paint Shop.

When you mention ‘gangway’ coaches, do you mean corridor coaches? Or is the gangway down the middle of the coach?

Hi Tony, was the girder bridge a kit? I have been searching for exactly that bridge for my under construction layout. I would appreciate any assistance you can give. John F.

Hello John. I will reply for Tony if that is OK. Jamie G did the original bridge design for photo etches. This was based on drawings obtained but they were poor and difficult to read. It was the first CAD design and Tony asked me (Dave W) to build the bridge for him. It proved to be a difficult build and there was an enormous number of rivets to punch. I designed some corrective parts and some extra details, but again it was not an easy build. Ideally I would have generated a new design whilst still fresh in the memory, but I have not. I have done some other bridge CAD designs with rivets preformed in the etch rather than punched so I guess with a great deal of effort and a couple more iterations a kit could be produced. It was all brass and soldering whereas laser cut MDF bridge kits seem to have become popular, although much less detailed.
I could send you some improved drawings I managed to get hold of. I suggest getting onto Tony Wrights RM Web thread and sending a PM.
      Dave

Why does anyone bother with EM and P4 when OO can be as good as this?
