    I invite you all to come to Lviv after the war ends. Lviv survived WWI, WWII, soviet union and it will survive the russian invasion. Glory to Ukraine.
    Thank you for making such a beautiful video. When I feel nostalgic I really enjoy watching videos like this one. It's a beautiful and welcoming city. I myself am also looking forward to returning home. Best city in the world!

      "Lviv survived Soviet Union", if not for the USSR it wouldn't even be Ukrainian.. I guess by this logic it did not survive the Soviet Union because it was taken away from its original owners (Poles)

Zygmunt Gorgolewski was born in "Solec", region of "Greater Poland", occupied by Prussy. He studied and worked professionally in Berlin and Poznań.     500 years a Polish city. Film distorts history and ignores the Polish contribution to the history of the city. Lviv obtained city rights in 1356 thanks to the Polish king Casimir the Great. The whole old town is the work of Poles. It is a pity that Ukraine is erasing it from memory

    5:30 "For centuries, Lviv located 50km from the Polish- Ukrainian border" -is that a joke?😂😂. Lviv or Lwów was developed, built and managed by the Polish people for 500 years (from 1350 to 1945) because for most of the time Lwów was a part of Poland. At the time the Polish people were by far the biggest ethnic group there. In 1945 the city was taken over by the Soviet Union. It has been in Ukraine for 30 years only (since 1990).

      True. But then again, all the cities in the old Austrian section of Galicia was filled with Poles and Jews. The surrounding country side was all Ukrainian. So all those cities are somewhat built on Ukrainian ethnic territory.

      @@claytonpashka3112 1. That's right. Poles were the biggest ethnic group in the cities. In Lwów in 1924 they made up 65%, followed by Jews 24%, then Ukrainians 10%.
      2. I noticed that for some reason, for many Ukrainians the history of the city starts when it belonged to the Austrian Empire. Before that there is a blank page. Strange.

      @@GalicianFromLemberg They are too small and too poor and backwards. They are not viable states. How will they cope, economically? Nationalism is nice, but you're going to have to be able to feed your people, (and provide housing, education and medical care) and provinces like Wolyn simply can't.
      Ukrain couldn't even stand on their own two feet. That is why they wanted to join the EU. For all that money from Brussels. Those are gifts to the poorer members, paid for by the richer members. We are talking billions of euros.
      And says who? Said Poland, Lithuania and Ukrain in a joint declaration last year.

      I've used it and it is fine and is gradually getting better. Ukraine has not benefitted from 130 billion euros the way Poland has.

      @@GalicianFromLemberg Autonomy'' from what? Probably from Russia. I met a young 20-year-old boy from Volhynia a year ago. He convinced me that ''Dmitryj'' is an old Slavic name. I laughed immensely. It still amuses me today. And there are hundreds of such examples. So don't tell me about the uniqueness of ''Lviv'' and this so-called ''Western Ukraine'', because it is only mythical and not real.

"western ukraine" has been around for a millennial, from Ruthenia to Principality of Halych to Galicia and Lodomeria to Western Ukrainian peoples Republic, "Ukraine" and Galicia and Volyn have a was different culture, ukrainian culture is in the east on the banks of the Dnipro, barely anyone even knows how to talk pure ukrainian (unlike in Galicia) the two groups have been under control from different empires, Ukraine-Russian Empire, Galicia and Volyn- Poland and Hapsburg, you can see difference in architecture, Western more elaborate and European and Eastern Slavic and Traditional, you know the Western regions have barely any relation to Ukraine, and under Ukrainian occupation Lemberg rotting to the ground and is full of street graffiti.
