it’s the death drop for me @ 2:52:34 😂😭😭
He was acting a plum fool 😭😭😭😂
You know what...I appreciate narada calling out the bs in these natural hair videos so that we don't get caught up in the hype
Before Narada I was a product junkie -he let me know that you don’t need a lot of expensive products. If it’s not broke don’t fix it😊 The most underrated channel on UA-cam
The box braids..... YES So many people think that putting their hair up in box braids are a protective style automatically but most don't moisturize while in the braids so when they take them out, their hair is brittle so you never retain length. Protective styles are not protective if you don't constantly keep moisturizing your hair. That means your hair needs water but people are afraid of water due to frizz. Once I realized I was not adding enough water regularly my hair started thriving and is now down to my backbone.
@@yougotgamesonyourphone6947 Yep! That's how ya do it, sis! And when you eventually take them down you notice your hair is much more softer than if you don't do anything to it while in a protective style.
No disrespect but I will never understand why black people go to countries where there aren't a large portion of black people. Then they get upset when their hair gets destroyed by the people in the salon because they don't know how to style/work with our textured hair. BUT THIS IS WHAT YOU WANTED!!!
I can remember back in my younger days I mainly wore my hair naturally. I dated I white guy and he loved it. When I I decided to relax he was so disappointed. However whilst wearing my hair natural my own brothers constantly questioned why I didn't do something with my hair I.e relax. Let me tell you when I I relaxed and had blonde highlights it was like bees around honey. Even now that I'm back to my natural state. I'm constantly being asked if I'm a Christian etc just because I don't perm wear weaves or wigs. What the hell is wrong with us 😭
lisa smith-thomas I think you need to tell the, you have the right to decide what to do with your hair and they are just not free thinking. Sometimes you have to be a little rude to get people off your back. The ignorance and the micromanagement of black hair is annoying.
Ask if you’re Christian??🤨 where do you live?
Natural hair definitely attracts certain types of black men and, overall, a lot more white and Hispanic men. That’s been my experience anyway. I’d love to go overseas again for more of a variety.
I guess it depends on the person. Ive had lots of black men approach me just to compliment my natural hair. White guys dont even approach lol
@@denyshadials5702 where would you like to go or where have hou traveled. I definitely want to go to Romania one day when i have the funds.
NeickhaSuPRA
I did a study abroad program in Uruguay (we also went to Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil). But I’d like to make it to Central America (Belize, and Guatemala), Australia, Europe (Ireland, Italy, France, and Spain), Africa (South Africa, Ghana, Ethiopia), and Asia (India and Japan). I need to start saving up 😅.
To everyone mentioning my mic issues, I've definitely noticed it cutting out some of my speech every so often. I'll try to figure it out because it is annoying.
I remember asking for you to turn up your vol at the beginning because it sounded faint/like you were getting cut off. I'm glad that I wasn't going crazy bc everyone in the chat said the sound was great
@@_Kim_Possible i can see what you meant. I believe it's one of my filters I have set on my mic. It's meant to cut my mic on when I'm speaking and cut it off when I'm not. I think it's cutting it my mic off prematurely so it cuts off my words especially if I taper off my volume toward the end of my sentences.
No you did not just say aww and then thumbs it down 🤭🤣💀
Sure did!
I kinda think the girl who got the Japanese perm...knew what she was getting into. Her reaction was just to calm for me. She just didn't seem too pissed about her hair getting straightened. And you're correct, Narada, it's no way that she would be that naive to assume that Asians would know alot about kinky hair? I mean, it's a hair salon that caters to their hair types. Anyway...This stream was pretty funny. Especially the part when you did the "death drop"...After cracking up over the comments!😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yea chat was wildin about that ir family. I don't watch their videos, but I didn't see anything deserving of all the hate in the comments. Projecting and assumptions.
Also I think nomatter what the texture of the hair parents SHOULD be teaching their children to love it, and tellin them its beautiful as it is. I never had that growing up, just had a relaxer slapped in so my hair was "easier" to manage. 😩
She said it would absorb the dirt.
Absorb the dirt and go where though? She's not brushing it or combing it out of the hair. So wouldn't it just remain in the hair, thus going no where?
Nice, looks like UA-cam really enjoyed this livestream and just decided to upload everything one time lol. The livestream with everyone was pretty fun.
clanwargods it was one of the best ones in my opinion. A lot of fun
@@ChocolateQueen225 Yeah, it was awesome!
When my 2 month old is settled, I take time too catch up on all your videos❤❤
Damn you went 5 hours this time?! UA-cam sucks, I missed the last two lives (Saturday because I was busy and now last night because i didn’t even know you were on 😭). With that said I’m at least glad I have something to watch for the next 5 hours 💀 hope i’ll be back for the next one with my multiple super chats 😂
This might be a bit reckless but use a DC/masks as a conventional conditioner (leave it on for 3-5 min instead of 30 min) because I don't have the time to sort through regular conditioners because they always leave my hair stiff/dry and my hair is naturally dry.
I stopped owning regular rinse out conditioners because they don't do it for me anymore and it's a waste of time and money.
OMG Kim Possible you and I are in the same boat. I stopped using regular conditioners for the same reason and DC only once a month. I follow my shampoo on days I don’t DC with a leave in/moisturizer and my hair looks and feel so much better.
I love watching the live streams😀. I watch this stream earlier and wanted to watch it again. I love how you defended the first family. I feel like some people in the live stream have some insecurities because how can you hate on the mom taking care of her kids hair and loving their hair, like seriously. Also I don’t feel sorry about the girl who got her hair done in China. I think she would have been better off doing her own hair, but what does she expect when you go somewhere that doesn’t specialize in your hair texture. I also don’t understand how can you trust someone with your hair when you have to use a translator to communicate certain things.
I agree. I thought she was really sweet & positive to her children. I love my Momma, but wash days were a crying relaxed hair nightmare I dreaded when I was a kid. Good on her for taking care of each of them! ♥️😍
Aly Ariel I agree with you a hundred percent. Growing up I had natural hair until the second grade (8 years old). That was my first relaxer ever. My mom knew how to take care of my hair but she said it was too time consuming due to how thick it was and it was starting to get longer as well. With that said I’m not mad she did that. She did what works best for her. I say all that to say you can’t please everyone. I think it’s nice how she tells them that they are beautiful and how she care for their hair 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
1:34:00 when I was “bored” with my natural hair I just took a break and did wigs for several months. But now I’m back in my natural strands and it’s super fun again. But permanently changing it seems unfortunate
1:01:37 I feel like this is where the denman brushes shines as both a detangler and styling brush; when it comes to looser textures like this.
If you're type 4 though, please do not use denman brush as a detangler! At least not if your hair is fine, it will rip hair to pieces.
Also, tangle teezer sounds rough when you use it, but it isnt necessarily ripping your hair out. Its actually quite gentle and got at taking out shed hair.
You aren’t lying about white people loving our hair. Being in the military I get the craziest questions out of amazement. My hair is always in braids or flat twists in uniform but the second I step out to a work function or party with a twist out or up do? Chile’ 🤣 get called “Nubian goddess” and all
My husband is white and he LOVES when my hair is in a fro. Lol
I got embarrassed by a black and white sergeant in reference to my hair(while I was in the army) It was a horrific experience for me. I am always happy to hear when people have a better experience.
I'm sorry but Nubian goddess is cringe. I would die if a white person said it to me
May It is pretty extra. But I usually just look at them funny lol or I’ll let them know politely “yeah that’s a lot”
SuperPhdiva SRB I’m sorry. I never understood the need to do all that just because a persons hair is “different”. If it’s in regulation get out of my face. My first 2 years I use to get stares and after know the regs and challenging people I got left alone. I understand not everyone has that luxury though.
White perm= curly and they love their round brushes also their dryers in asia arent as hot there bc their hair doesnt require that much heat. Basically, sis should have done her hair herself. Dah.
I was about to feel bad for sending you the skate kid video on black lives matter plaza. But then you said it was ok 😂🤣😂🤣
When I wash in twists I only make 6-9 (loose), depending on how tangled my hair was beforehand. She making life hard...I can’t imagine how long that wash day is...
I love your videos, but to clarify Jaded Tresses has 2 salons, located in NJ and NYC. Tameeka is my stylist and she is AMAZING! And the products works really well on my hair (I always do a wash n go) - for context i have dense type 4a hair, it remains moisturized, I get a ton of definition, shine, and no frizz for 5+ days.
You are going to have to remind me since this video is so old but, exactly what response that I said are you clarifying to me?
Oh I just thought about it. Was it the chizi video with the wash n go? If so, you don't know what process or products she decided to use on her at that time but I'm glad to hear she takes great care of your hair. 👍🏾
AfrikanHairGod, Yes you are correct! Im kinda of late to the video but you are hilarious so Ive been watching your old live-streams recently :-).
Also I fell asleep during the live, lol, I wish u held it a lil earlier. But yeah hair on the hairline is deemed more porous because it's usually the most exposed/manipulated due to everyday face washing/makeup on it, edge control, tension pulling it back in my opinion.
People in the chat when so hard on ManesbyMell shes's so nice
Either my mother or a stylist cared for my relaxed hair til I was 20-and that was only because I was going overseas for the first time. Every other black girl I grew up was doing their hair by the time they were teenagers...and no it usually wasn’t that great...especially if they were relaxed or had type 4 hair. I even had a friend that was doing her own relaxer touch-ups in 7th grade. (Looking back I can’t believe I was actually jealous 🙃)
If I had a daughter, I’d have her in protective styles (no added hair) til she wanted her hair down-usually around early junior high. Then we’d master one thing at a time: 1. Detangling, 2. Washing and conditioning, 3. Styling, 4. Keeping up with her schedule/responsibilities.
By mid-high school (sooner if she’s not lazy), I’d be comfortable leaving her to herself to keep up with her hair. Except for prom of course ☺️. I wouldn’t allow chemicals or added hair til she was 18 (hopefully she wouldn’t want them though🙏🏾).
Yeeeeah, when my mom was doing my hair (and apparently I was natural), my hair was growing....and then when I started doing my hair-
Tianna Barber
Your comment cut off like a good book on a cliffhanger 😂
Denysha Taylor you don’t wanna see how that story ends 😭😭😭
I don’t want to be rude but I honestly didn’t feel sad for her. Like if you walk into a salon and have explain the process and they are confuse- then LEAVE. Like she could have easily washed her hair at home and do a braid out or something. And I don’t like how they were treating her like a zoo animal- I guess that they are not use to seeing hair like that so up close but still.

That’s what I always get why I try and find videos on roller dancing, like I want to do fast almost breaks dancing moves on my skates, not this stuff.
Killing the spider 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@3:08:08 People think coconut oil has protein, it doesn't have protein but it acts as a "protein" because it contains a fatty acid (lauric acid) that "reinforces" the protein structure of the hair follicle that in return makes the hair feel 'harder'/stiff since lauric acid has a high affinity to bind to the protein in your hair.
I've been looking into hair oils, and I recommend everyone to look up different oils' fatty acid profiles and sample some (be cheap and look at common ones like sunflower, grapeseed, olive, etc) to see how their hair will respond to different fatty acids, since we are using oil to mimic the role of the sebum from our hair and everyone's sebum makeup is different. Also cholesterol is NOT a protein treatment, it should not make your hair brittle but moisturized/soft/pliable.
That fatty acid is exactly what makes coconut oil solidify.😂 They remove that fatty acid chain in fractionated coconut oil so it stays liquid forever. Many people can't stand coconut oil because Essentially what's happening is that the coconut oil is literally just re-solidifying in their hair. 😅 Especially if the atmosphere temp in your home is the same, melting it in your hands will not have it remain liquid. Besides the area near your scalp, unlike skin your hair itself doesn't emit heat to keep it liquid. 😉
This is an observation but... For the most part, the only people I see who LOVE virgin coconut oil are high porosity people because their hair absorbs it quickly before it solidifies. Normal and lowpo folks, it may take too long. That's when you get hard hair, dry hair (from it not properly sealing& from the solid coconut oil crust in your hair) Fractionated coconut oil is best: always liquid, very light, no smell, and my hair absorbs it! Give it a try!!! ♥️
@@alyariel9713 I don't know about that. I'm high porosity n my hair HATES coconut oil. Olive oil does it for me.
@@user-zx5xw4yw2e Yeah, that's why the porosity thing was just an observation! :) I don't know every high porosity person, but it was just an interesting phenomenon I began to notice over the 8 years I've been natural. xD Either way, you're right olive oil is bomb! I love it! ♥️
She says mixed raced hair care products and I see a lot of Cantu, along with some KeraCare, Shea Moisture and Elasta QP. Maybe these brands are marketed differently in the UK. 🤔
They aren't.
That's how mixed girl's are here.
Why do women go get their hair done from other countries that dont know black people hair. I mean do what you do but dont get mad when they mess up your hair.
The chick using the dry shampoo is the very reason I stopped watching these “gurus.” She knew damn well that shit is not for us, but because she was paid, she went on and reviewed it 🙄.
Some of these people in the live chat have too much dip on their chip. WHEW 😬
I wonder why we can’t see the live chat replay cause it was lit😂😂😂😂 edit: nvm you addressed it😂😂😂
xDD That's why he said it 😂😂😂😂
I've never been one to go to packed places! lol I would go skating on wednesday nights with the little kids (I'm a beginner) and I keep my headphones in!!! I do not like socializing!
i loved that family vlog such well mannered children.gave me baby fever :)
Late response but same. I loved that section in this live. Just an all around beautiful family. ❤
I'm back again lol...
I get the feeling she knew deep down what they were going to do with her hair... how the hell you going to go to people who never deal with your hair type and expect to know what to do with it?!
It's messed up that they decided to perm her hair for her then try to refuse to show her the product. All the way messed up but I feel like she knew better deep down.
LOL I saw that skating video too! I didn't think of sending it to you though. I was going to send it to Charly Cheer (another youtuber) 😂
I finally finished the video! Yay! Enjoyed it.
8:40 My friend posted this to her insta story and said it makes her want to buy skates lol. I think people just see skates and relate it to you but i could see if she was doing flips and spins .
I’d send ice skating videos or some chirubian skate videos, she did some bomb online skating.
China has some bomb perms🤣 I can't lie all those styles were cute.
.......dry conditioner......mmkk....
Idk bout that dry shampoo.
Your shrinkage is a bad when you cut two inches off and it still look the same, ha!
U are a fool lol...... U need that whine, did u just fall, lol......I love watching u......
