Fantastic video, it's one busy old line that going thru Central Manchester, I love the way two train services went through in the time it took that freight train to clear the station. 🤣
Thank you very much Todd for watching this video I did some time back, but as you say its a great area to visit if you like trains, I must try and get up to Manchester again this year. ATB Mike.
Good to see you venturing into my neck of the woods.I see you got a typical M/C welcome weather-wise! but great footage as always.Take care From the Steelyman.
Morning Paul, so you have found this video from a few years back, and yes the weather didn't let me down, but I do like to come up your way which I will be doing a lot more I hope in 2021, Thanks for finding and commenting on this video. Mike.
Very enjoyable video. I saw some things I hadn’t seen before. I particularly liked the shot of three small ones with that long freighter. Good on ya for hanging it up for a while. Thank you.
Thank you, going to stop traveling on trains because of the Coronavirus so if I don’t do car trips it will be old footage which has never been seen. Mike.
Great video. I agree with MrDeltic15's comment on seeing Class 60s. I left the UK back in 2005. The numbers of Class 56 and 60s have dropped significantly. Thanks for sharing this video :)
Yes we do have less class 56s and 60s than we did in 2005, but it good news they are being done up and coming back again in small numbers. Thank you very much for watching my video.
Afternoon Mike. Great seeing trains in my local town 👍🏻 Navigation Road was a good train spotting location back in the 70s with several signal boxes in the area especially Skelton junction round the corner where I spend many a day in the box with the signalman 😄 It was really busy then as it was a X3 junction with a run round loop. Plenty of loose coupled trains between Yorkshire and Lancaster 😄 Cheers Stevie 😎
Steve thank you so much for this information of how things have changed in your area since your childhood, if we all think back to them days there had been massive changes on the railways which I don’t like. Cheers Steve for your interest in my latest video and when I can I will be back in that area. Regards Mike.
First rate filming at my local areas there Mike, pleased you ventured to Northwest, and thought it worthwhile to film ourvlocal freights, good on you, i suppose not so bad where we are after all! Lovely captures as always from you, cheers Nick.
Nice work, didn't realise the Drax routes came through Altrincham as well as the Liverpool/Leeds line - that's a LOT of environmentally friendly wood pellets (being shipped halfway round the world...)
Well Keith I think I did my last train trip yesterday, as my wife wants me to stop because of the Coronavirus, so it will be car trips for me I suppose.
With this video I was planning to get more footage but because of this Coronavirus I’ve decided to cut my traveling down so I decided to let this go at this length. Regards Mike.
Will from the USA here. Awesome video!! I really enjoy the slow moving trains here-we can actually appreciate all of the details of the various cars. Now, a question: at 0:42, a train comes by with markings that I thought were of a German train, DB. Deutche Bahn?? As I am not familiar with any British railroad with those letters, what is it??
Will it’s what you said, one of our freight company’s is owned by DB the Germany freight company. thank for watching my video from over there in America. Regards Mike.
Funny you say that Nick I was going to make it longer but because I’m going to cut down my travelling on trains because of this Coronavirus I decide to let this video go out. Cheers Mike
Raining in every single clip. How quintessentially British!
Well Tom it does happen, cheers for taking a look.

antman09ful1 Thanks for talking back. May I call you Mike?
Superb video Mike
Thank you, going to stop traveling on trains because of the Coronavirus so if I don’t do car trips it will be old footage which has never been seen. Mike.
Another enjoyable video Mike. It looks as though the class 60 has taken over the Liverpool - Drax workings.
At the moment that looks the norm David, and for me I hope it stops that way, but it’s a bit of a hit or miss with these working David. Regards Mike.
Excellent array of clips and workings here Mike, nice few 60s too for me to enthuse at !
Well you have waited a long time to see 60s on my videos.
Very nice selection of freight there Mike, especially good seeing some Class 60s.
Darren I don’t film enough of this great class of loco, I have loads of photos from Loughborough at the time of being built.
Nice freight action
Must try and get back to this area in 2023.

pleased to see this and know you are still getting out. very nis section of workings.
Well Keith I think I did my last train trip yesterday, as my wife wants me to stop because of the Coronavirus, so it will be car trips for me I suppose.
Many tons of lorry loads kept off the road with that little lot Mike, long may it continue.
Too true Bryan but I feel nothing will change in the near future. I was pleased to have got class 60s on film on this wet day. Regards Mike.
Nice freight trains!
Thanks Sam, I’m going to cut my travelling down due to this Coronavirus so you might start seeing more unseen old footage.
Cheers Mike.
