- I wasn't planning on another trip to Marholm so soon, but with EMR Aurora 810001, Rail Operations Group new livery 37608, and GBRf debranded Colas livery 60096 on hire to DC Rail all due on this sunny afternoon I had to go - but things didn't go to plan.............
With the derailment at Felixstowe container traffic was very light, and I nearly missed one that did run! The main shot I wanted though was 60096 on the boxes from Brandon - however, after a points failure at Brandon and then signal failure at Ely the working was going to be at least two hours late(in the evening)so I called it a day. My next plan to get it at Whittlesea working from Peak Forest to Brandon was also scuppered went it only went to Chaddesden! Still, there's Class 91s and vinyl liveried Azumas and a small mix of other passenger workings to enjoy in the sun alongside the limited freight.

those wires are high up
Possibly because there was a level crossing here, closed in the early 1990s after the wires had been strung up.
