Love the video guys! Your video helped me instal my ER Catted downpipe. But for some reason the engine light came on after the installation. The code was 12B104 - oxygen sensor heating before catalytic converters, activation line disconnection. Did y’all ever get this code after the installation. If yes please tell me what to do. I’m also running on an MHD stage 2 tune.
Really interested to see how the bm3 stage 2 tune works after the new intercooler! Downpipe, larger FMIC, and custom tune are next on my list. Currently have a BMS intake, muffler delete, and stage 1 MHD tune.
I’m watching this video at 3 am after spending 2 hours doing what you did but I pulled the whole exhaust off and a few other things different lemme tell ya, y’all did it the kinda easy way but also the longer way doing all this by myself ( in the fucking rain no less ) is hell but damn is it a good feeling of accomplishment
Another great video fellas, nice to see everyone helping out on the install too. Any issues with the CEL from the O2 sensors? That's been a concern of mine when considering a catless DP. I hear it can cause the car to go into limp mode if not addressed.
The popping noise that it does as your speed is decreasing does it do it on eco and sport or just sport, and is to loud. I was planning to order the Down-pipe but had no idea it would cause those popping noise that people tend to tune in with apps and a device.
It also felt like it wasn’t seated correctly when I installed. I made sure the top was aligned and just screwed in the bottom. After it was tight it looked like it was aligned properly. New clamp is cheap mind as well replace it.
I didn’t need to replace mine since I went with high flow catted downpipes instead of cattless. I think these might work for cattless www.urotuning.com/products/urotuning-sensor-spacer?variant=8311005184055
Great video question any fumes ? I went with the catless and now I smell fumes. I did tune it with a MHD and the fumes when down a little. I just ordered the ER catted downpipe was wondering about the fumes. Keep up the great work guys
So I also bought a high flow catted Downpipe from ER for a 2021 530xi, recently got it installed and after a few hours, the light engine came on. You said you replaced the upstream sensor and now you going to replace the downstream , is that something I should look into to remove the light?
So I just got my ER DOWNPIPE INSTALLED. The car sounds great. But for some reason the engine light came on “12b104 - oxygen sensor heating before catalytic converter, activation : line disconnection . Did y’all have this code pop up ? I am also running on stage 2 MHD tune.
I didn’t have any issues on upstream but recently got an error for downstream. Going to put in a new sensor since I never replaced that one but did replace the upstream sensor when we installed
Great video guys! Good to see youtubers working together. How is the drown? Do you feel it is louder then your factory down pipe? I installed my axle back exhaust from megan racing and resonator delete and it sounds great.
Catalytic converter material is actually very valuable people steal it out of cars to sell so it’s gonna be more expensive to add that expensive material

im looking for a catback exhaust for my 2008 535xi E60
Glad to be part of this install. Looking forward to the next project.

Great Job boys. Hope i could this myself
What a day, glad I was around to help / widen my knowledge of the n55

I hear ya. It is a pain getting it out.
Here we go
you guys be able to pass emission with this catted dp? Need to flash tune or anything if you guy do?
Yes! Will pass emissions
My car has burbles without a downpipe I can only imagine with a downpipe how it'll sound
FMIC next?
Great video! Love the F10 content. I will hopefully be posting my Catless DP video soon. Waiting on the DP to arrive.
Hi buddy I live in MD too you put downpipe it’s ok to pass emissions inspection MVA ?
Ours are high flow catted downpipe so yes. There are ways to get a catless downpipe to work as well
@@ThicGarage ohh ok cool man! Thanks
How much do you think it’ll cost for maintenance to do this ?
Please !! Do another dyno run
Will the catted dp set of cel?
Another great video fellas, nice to see everyone helping out on the install too. Any issues with the CEL from the O2 sensors? That's been a concern of mine when considering a catless DP. I hear it can cause the car to go into limp mode if not addressed.
I got the High Flow Catted Downpipe instead of the Catless. No issues

It has popping in both modes. It’s a subtle popping compared to the popping you can turn in with the apps.
How did you get the vband on so easy ? I'm having trouble
It wasn’t easy at all. Had to remove those brackets to have enough room to screw it in.
@@ThicGarage
I'm using the original v band its in good condition. Is the oem vband smaller than the one they sell for cattless DP 3.5"??
@@ThicGarage
The vband doest seem to close right.. maybe I'm not seating it properly? I'm going to try it tomorrow morning again .
It also felt like it wasn’t seated correctly when I installed. I made sure the top was aligned and just screwed in the bottom. After it was tight it looked like it was aligned properly. New clamp is cheap mind as well replace it.
@@christopherlozano1424 did you use oem or buy new one? I’m having same problem
Do you know what O2 sensor bungs I need, I have a cat less and I need to pass emissions

Are u still enjoying ur 535?
Great video question any fumes ? I went with the catless and now I smell fumes. I did tune it with a MHD and the fumes when down a little. I just ordered the ER catted downpipe was wondering about the fumes. Keep up the great work guys
Thanks. Only time I smell fumes is when it’s running in the garage.
So I also bought a high flow catted Downpipe from ER for a 2021 530xi, recently got it installed and after a few hours, the light engine came on. You said you replaced the upstream sensor and now you going to replace the downstream , is that something I should look into to remove the light?
Changing the sensors didn’t make the check engine light go away. BM3 tune cleared it
So I just got my ER DOWNPIPE INSTALLED. The car sounds great. But for some reason the engine light came on “12b104 - oxygen sensor heating before catalytic converter, activation : line disconnection . Did y’all have this code pop up ? I am also running on stage 2 MHD tune.

This is one expensive down-pipe. Do you get an engine lights on?
Nice video! How many hours did it take?
With proper tools and if everything goes smoothly should only take you 2-3 hours.
how much u paid for install? how long was it
I didn’t pay for install. We installed the downpipe.
How long did that take to install overall… and what should I expect to pay to have someone do it???
Took about an hour to get it in. Can’t imagine a shop would charge more than $150 to install.
what kind of mufflers do you have on it?
Megan Racing
@@ThicGarage do you have a video of the sound after installing the catted downpipe?
Yes in this video, 17:30
do a n54 e60
Lord!!! 1000 bucks
lol, I watched video. and was thinking to myself im going to order one right now .... *click link*. ahhhhhhhhh damn... maybe in a few
Nice work, but why not catless dp.
Maryland emissions concerns. Also wanted to give ER High Flow Catted A try. Great company and communication.
@@ThicGarage are you getting CEL codes? These bmw o2 sensors are really sensative :/
Great video guys! Good to see youtubers working together. How is the drown? Do you feel it is louder then your factory down pipe? I installed my axle back exhaust from megan racing and resonator delete and it sounds great.
Hey thank you! Drown is a bit louder.
I have the same car f10
Is this xdrive
Yes it is
@@ThicGarage nice it looked like it, DPs are bish to install on xdrive
Why are the catted Downpipes so much more expensive then catless?
More cost to fabricate with cats.
Catalytic converter material is actually very valuable people steal it out of cars to sell so it’s gonna be more expensive to add that expensive material
When Gene and I did this it was crazy.
Does the downpipe turn on check engine
It did for me but went away after we tuned it with BM3 stage 2
