Building A Lodge & Garden For Wild Boar In Planet Zoo | Elderwood Zoo
ABOUT PLANET ZOO
Build a world for wildlife in Planet Zoo. From the creators of Planet Coaster and Zoo Tycoon comes the ultimate zoo sim. Construct detailed habitats, manage your zoo, and meet authentic living animals who think, feel and explore the world you create around them.
Planet Zoo is nearly a Zoo Tycoon sequel, a Zoo Tycoon 2019 game. A wildlife game, zoo game and animal game and soon we'll be adding Planet Zoo gameplay.
For Adventure! - Ігри
For animals you're unsure of how to integrate, it would always be kind of neat to have some sort of wildlife rehabilitation center in the town. Perhaps a part of the local forest was being used as illegal dumping grounds, which had an adverse effect on the local animals and the surrounding area
An idea for a neon diner could be a little nocturnal-ish house 😂. Like with all the red lights it reminds me of a nocturnal house. You could do like a window into the kitchen where there is some sort of an invasion of an animal like sand cats would be a good choice XD
You could put a python in there but it has a terrarium for it however the glass was broken by the cryptid and the building traces and abandoned.
oh hell yea it's here
30:13 oh no bis has forgotten the ways of the almighty mud pillar
Oooh, I *really* love the multi-tiered garden! It looks wonderful, and there's something about the layout of the plants + sprinklers that makes it feel almost... nostalgic? in a way?? It's hard to explain, but it would honestly just idle in that garden area forever if I could lol
The garden is actually really pretty, well done!
The coolest thing about this entire zoo, is that it's almost TOO realistic, it's incredible!
Everytime you upload Planet Zoo I feel like a little kid watching your favourite TV show on weekend's morning. I love how you wait until you have an idea of what to build than pushing it and burning your soul in the infernal fires of the well. Love your attention to details, as always. Love it
Elderwood! The boar lodge is so cool, loving the garden!
We do appreciate the time and sheer effort that goes into making these; thanks for all your hard work, BIS!
I think this is my favourite of your builds so far. It just looks so good, it looks like a properly designed location for a game, and more subtly incorporating the animals living there, as well as the tasty lore nuggets, just made it feel really unique.
Elderwood lives!
I always get so excited when I see you've posted a plant zoo build! The lodge and garden look phenomenal!
I really like the diner idea bht here are a few more ideas
- racoons in a slightly run down housing street where they can climb between the gardens
- deer in a gas station on the edge of town
- skunks in a pet shop
- Bats in abandonned factory, climax of horror
Or bats in church
So happy to see you back in Elderwood. The tiered garden came out lovely. Thank you for sharing the continuing story!
ELDERWOOD! WOO YEAH ELDERWOOD!
You should make a mountain/cliffside near the back of the shops in the fishing town, something decorations not accessible, and then add some houses to it or half houses (just some house facades really) with trees obstructing the view. Kind of like you did for the backstreets of the Halloween town. Just to give the illusion that there's somewhere for the townspeople to live, because right now there's the commercial area but no residential area to create that realism.
Elderwood is back!! Beautiful garden, and I'm super excited to see what you do with both the diner and the church in the future.
Great build.I love the garden. Will definitely think of a way, how I can build something like that in my own zoo. Thanks for continuing the series. It's just so much fun seeing Elderwood come to live :)
Hooray, Elderwood Zoo is back! I'm always so excited to see one of your Planet Zoo thumbnails. And yes, as usual, my comment is incredibly long and rambling because I can't help myself, I get excited.
8:25 Oh man having a secret door down into a spooky cult cellar worship chamber full of bats could be really fun.
15:08 Are there deer in Elderwood yet...? I don't think so......?? Anyway. You putting up the reindeer sign just had me thinking that this town could be perfect for an ancient forest god in the form of a deer or something, hanging out at a shrine people have built. Maybe this town has not one, but TWO cults: one worshipping a creature of the water, one worshipping a being of the forest. (I have no idea. Just rambling, really.)
19:40 We need flags everywhere so no one is ever at risk of forgetting what country they're in. Obviously. It's just like looking around for a clock to check the time. Now come on, don't tell me you never forget that you're in England. Surely you have days where you think "I really wish there were a flag around so I could be sure what country I'm in."
22:46 Definitely a good idea, to hint at an interior without actually forcing yourself to build it. The hotel reception area was a clever way to go about it. I also hate building interiors, but somehow I find myself building them anyway for some reason.
24:18 The leaf litter on the roof does look really good! I like that a lot.
25:41 I still like the idea that an animal has broken into the diner and taken it over, and it's closed off until animal control can arrive. Maybe someone went to take the trash to the dumpster out back, the animal was there, it scared the silly human, who ran away, and neglected to properly close the diner door behind them. And then chaos ensued, and now the diner is home to....something. Until animal control finally decide to get here and sort it out. Having it closed up and sealed off is also a way to avoid building too much of the interior, haha. (Maybe there are animals that have escaped from the nearby zoo that have come down into the town. Maybe all of the activity with the gods and/or demons and/or monsters and/or cryptids has disturbed both the native and exotic wildlife and as a result they're behaving strangely and getting restless.)
34:24 Yes! A bear would definitely be a good candidate for getting into the dumpsters behind the diner. (Also, speaking of parking areas: Your lodge guests don't have anywhere to park just yet. You might want a sign or something directing cars where they can park, or a little valet sign to suggest that the lodge guests can just pull up next to the lodge and have their cars taken care of.)
36:22 (........I'll just ignore the fact that there is no logical tree for all of these leaves to be coming from. Ghost tree. It's fine.)
37:28 I absolutely love the lighting in the garden at night! It looks so good!
38:45 I really, really love the different tiers of the garden, and the different shapes of those retainer walls, and how it all fits together... It really does feel like a real, proper garden. That's been invaded (or will soon be invaded) by wild boars.
40:49 After everything's all been put down, the lodge really does come together. The look is just spot-on. All the details are very effective.
45:15 I love this build so much! What a great way to integrate the boars, and the lodge overall just came together so well. (Your building and landscaping skills have come so, so far since the game first came out.)
45:55 A general store is a good candidate for another building. Every town needs a general store for buying... well, everything. A gas station is also a possibility. Just a little one, of course. Nothing new or fancy.
49:02 Like I said, I absolutely love this build. It's so good. Just....totally captures the place.
We do have deer I believe living at the radio station? If j recall correctly it's a deer of some kind. And I think the free bonus animal was a deer and we used that too
@@BestInSlotGaming Oh you're right, there are deer... I can't remember exactly where or when, but yes, you did put deer in. It's hard to remember everything that's in Elderwood at this point! I'd need to go back through the episodes again.
How much time do you have to type all of that that is easily the biggest comment i have ever seen
Yeah! Another build I love this series!
I always get so excited when I see a new planet zoo video from you! I think the sporadic not knowing when the next video is coming makes it even more exciting when one does!
I love love LOVE your builds…and euphemisms lol i haven’t been able to watch the whole thing and this might be too late now lol but what could be a cool idea to do a creepy bat cave is… turn the lodge into a restaurant and rest area and then in a dark little corner there’s a door that’s kept slightly ajar with a red glow emanating from the staircase below….follow it down to an abandoned room which could have been a cellar in the day but is now occupied with bats but still bears some…odd…markings on the floor and walls. And wait, there’s something sticky on the floor in the centre of the markings…is that…
Anywho, love the build, I’ll watch the rest of the video hopefully soon! :)
I just thought of integrating the bears into the diner build with the dumpsters right before you said it lol. I also love the idea of a church build.
It’s great to see Elderwood making a return
Some really great edging techniques on display here!
Elderwood in my heart
Finnaly. The return of Elderwood!!!
This looks amazing - I could never make my buildings look this realistic 👏🏻 ❤
So happy to see another planet zoo video, I love when you post em!!
Oh for the diner: I saw in a different video that somebody made an ice cream or cheese shop based on the takin, maybe your diner could have specialty takin ice cream that they sell, so you can add them that way :)❤
I love planet zoo
A drive-in movie theater would be cool
Funnily enough I already built one in the halloween zoo
Good speed build I ain't that far in but it's better then what I could do in 7 years
I somehow missed the start of elderwood season 2 so i spent today binging all 3 videos i missed! i love this new little town, and i especially love that the animal exhibits are less and less obviously geared towards zoo guests. Have you added skunks to elderwood yet? i feel like they would fit very nicely in a town environment just digging into a trashcan or wandering the streets at night
Let’s goooooooo!!! Elderwood zoo is back!
I like rocks too
I would love to see you do a Cryptid zoo someday. With your storytelling skills, you would be the only UA-camr I would be interested in watching pull it off.
Absolutely something I would love to do yeah. Maybe when updates end and I can mess around with mods and stuff.
I work at a Nature Reserve and bats quite often get through the roof into the cafe (not ideal) but maybe inspiration for the diner?
Sporadically lit 😂
You should turn use sandbox creative settings such as turning of animal escapes which makes it so that the animals can’t escape from the invisible barrier. And turn of all the guest needs and staff stuff. It makes it much easier
theres a dinner that i visited in lake placid New York that had a creek running underneath a balcony seating area. I think that would be a cool way to integrate the swans into a habitat.
i looked it up the place is called Lisa G's
You deserve so many more views man
I hail from a small town in Ohio (the American Midwest) and our town's mascot is indeed a golden bear, and we do, in fact, have multiple golden bears around town.
such a flipping epic build
SO GOOD
Leaf 🥲
PLANET ZOO PLANET ZOO PLANET ZOO!!!!
id say you did pretty 'well'
Finally let’s goooo
4:46 "you don't need to see me do it the first time" as if the whole reason i watch these videos isn't to see your building process
Interesting you chose America since wild boar are invasive to North America. Regardless, amazing exhibit! The zoo is fantastic! I crave and I mean CRAVE for planet zoo videos
Love it
Nice
Best its called trimming not edging.
An idea for the diner could be taken from Far Cry 5 having the diner have a mascot like Cheeseburger but a Sloth Bear instead or some other animal
Edit: (I just realized that sounds very Five Nights at Freddy’s)
You should play farming simulator! Youd have the best looking farms!!!
Elder wood
I’m new to planet zoo but how do you place walls and things like that in a group but no a grid?
Can you point to the bit on the video you mean?
@@BestInSlotGaming when your placing the stone frame on the bottom of the building or moving the roof pieces
@aura1156 So if you have a grid group selected, if you click exit group or whatever the orange button is in the top right, you can then press X like you usually would to move an item.
i must comment to pleace those algoritm gods
Yes another pz video from bis
Can you do an all animal zoo?
It's taken me about 40543985438 years to do Elderwood I don't think I'd ever manage an all animal zoo aha
@@BestInSlotGaming ok
Have a like, good sir
Have a like, good sir.
The American flag thing isn’t really a thing. 95% of people don’t have an American flag in their house and I live in the South.
definitely not arguing, but flags are super common in my hometown 😊 i’d say one out of every 4 houses had american flags in my neighborhood growing up in the west
Bis wtf the other night no live stream thats three weeks in a row and you didn't even say (sorry folks no live stream)!!!!!!! 🤬🤬🤬😡😡😡
I liked my own comment😊
