I would love a "documentary" style video, as you're taming it! I can't seem to tame my gecko, and it's way easier to see what you do! (rather than hear it)
Some just take a long time, took mine two years to stop getting startled all the time.
Also remember that they are individuals and some just might not enjoy handling. I got my two girls at the same time 8 years ago and while one of them loves attention and scratches and can sleep on my shoulder, the other just doesn't enjoy it. She doesn't like getting picked up and held and would rather stay in her home, and that's alright! It took many many years for her to not freak out as soon as I touched her, while my other was tame in months. Just keep trying! ❤

You can't "tame" a Leopard gecko, specially until it's at least 8 months old, it'll be "jumpy".
Older (for example, 2 years old) geckos are a lot calmer.
Let it get used to scent, voice, and certain routine. That alone works wonders if you're not stressing it too much, that is.

Omg, it’s so cute and has such a beautiful color! I was honestly amazed to see it go for the mealworm when you dropped it in, my leo (Zuko) wouldn’t eat for a month after getting him and took a while to get used to me, but now he loves to watch me when I’m moving around the room and almost “begs” for more food XD Your new baby must be comfortable with you already! And I kind of understand that “vibe” you get when you pick out your gecko, I didn’t really get to choose, but once I saw him, I just had that immediate feeling of “this is my new best friend.” I can’t wait to watch your journey with this baby leo!

Congratulations! I got my baby leopard gecko Lhasa a month ago, and I think it is only 7-8 weeks old max. Can't wait for the baby leo videos, with food, handling and getting it to sleep in its warm hide the main issues for the moment. It's still amazing though!

I just got my very first Leopard Gecko the other day! I named them Mochi! I'm unsure of her morph or the gender but I had the same feeling you did when I saw them! I just knew that gecko was the one for me!
Aww congratulations!! I also just knew when I saw my girls. The first I saw right away, and I was choosing between her and another but nah, I just had to have her. Then my second was also no question about it - as soon as she saw me, she stood on her back legs, pressed up against the little deli cup and looked right at me and continued to do so until I had payed for her lol. Like she wanted to make sure I was going to pick her. 8 years later and they keep making me happy every single day. Best of luck to you and Mochi! ❤
Mines also called mochi, I love that it suits my bean so well and made it easier for me until I know their gender.

Obviously you know more than me 😂 but I would say wait a little bit until its a little bigger to move into the vivarium just because its so small it could wedge itself ANYWHERE. 😊There super cute! I would name it chedder or tango.

I will be Following along very closely. I just got each of my boys a leopard gecko. They are still very young. We watched so many videos to learn how to care for them but most of them are about much older geckos and not too much information about young baby ones.

My leopard gecko pattern went away it was gray band going down it’s back now it’s just spots.
I finally got mine in his new tank. I need to do a few more adjustments, but I am so happy he can finally be in a bigger bioactive tank. Your channel has inspired me so much.
This little guy reminds me of my 2 Leo hatchlings that I have produced myself for the first time, named autumn and amber. They are such active, cute, and mischievous little bundles of joy just like your little fellow. 💚🥰

Forgot how small they are too! I'm sure it's from a trusted breeder and all, but might want to put off moving it in to the vivarium for a month or so to give it a proper quarantine period. Looks very healthy though!
Wow, they're so cute! I bought my leopard gecko as a juvenile, it's been a year and a half and he's grown so fast! This leopard gecko seems super calm and it looked great when you were handling it! Just a suggestion for a name if it's a female, but I feel like Echo would be suiting! Exciting to see updates on it!
From the dark coloration over its eyes it looks like it has eyebrows, so cute.

Hi Rebecca, congratulations on your new baby Leo. I have two newly hatched Boy Leos (incubated at 31/32degrees). It is amazing to see these tiny little fully formed Leos, smaller than my little finger, in comparison to last years, the eldest of which is now 10 months old. Lilah my Mummy Leo was sitting on my hand watching your baby on my screen while I typed this one handed :0)

That part reminded me of when my gecko was a baby back in 2019 he threw himself off my table 🤣 but he was ok lol I'm surprised how he didn't get injured or died from that

I found two cute names from India (the area where Leopard Geckos come from in the wild) that would fit it perfectly. If it’s a male, name him Kairav (means White Lotus). If it’s female, name her Zara (means Princess or Flower).
