Thats how it is on the record...the end fades out at the start of the record. Maybe they were tring to be psychedelic with the production. I hear FZ vibes in the backing vocals as well. Very cool song!

That does indeed sound like FZ singing. If it was then they added those vocals in an overdub, because Frank openly admitted he couldn't sing and play the guitar at the same time.
