Joe McKnight and Ronald Jones were both #1 RB recruits. Also this past season Tuli Tuipulotu lead not only the Pac12 in sacks, he lead the nation in sacks, but I don't think he's technically a rush end in the 3-3-5 scheme SC runs.

Rileys most successful years were with seasoned players who had college FB experience already, either under Bob Stoops, or a different program. As his recruiting class got better, his team got worse. Expect similar outcomes. Also, long as he has Alex Grinch, that defense will be useless.

FYI, USC doesn't pay unproven High schoolers NIL money ,TP guys maybe, but Riley and SC doesn’t pay high schoolers, ig so we would've had the #1 class already if that was the case.
This should show how bad Lincoln Riley is doing at USC. Here are the recruits from this video and where they are headed:
1. Aydin Breland - Oregon commit
2. Taylor Tatum - Oklahoma commit
3. Mike Matthews - Tennessee commit
4. Drelon Miller - A&M commit
5. Selman Bridges - Arkansas commit
6. Zabien Brown - Alabama commit
7. Elijah Rushing - Oregon crystal ball
Looks like USC won’t get any of these guys. 6 of the 7 recruits already committed elsewhere, and the other one has a crystal ball to Oregon. The Trojans were the #12 ranked class when this video was recorded….now they are ranked #19.
Side note: looks like Caleb is going to learn the hard lesson of “the grass is always greener on the other side.” Oklahoma has the #6 ranked recruiting class, and will likely ended up ranked in the top 5. The Sooners are ranked 6th in the country with the CFP in their sights, and Dillon Gabriel in Heisman contention. Homeboy should have stayed put in Norman.
