Looking forward to see Aaron at sage dynamics give it a run. The previous offerings didnt exactly perform and the vast majority of my coworkers running them have broken them during basic and standard duty use.
Same I can’t wait to see his videos, I base my purchases off optic if they pass his reviews. I swear by Holosun & Trijicon for pistol optics. I want to see the new eotech eflx and the Romeo 2 reviews by him for sure
biggest issue i've seen with Sig pistol RDS are 1) durability (drop tests, etc.) and 2) button quality. It looks like they might have fixed it in this model.
I just got their new RomeoZero Elite and it's outstanding as well. But, the dim/brightness button is a pain in the ass to adjust.....but once you have it set you really don't need to touch it again. I got the Circle/Dot version for my P365XL Spectre Comp and it's simply amazing how fast I can acquire the reticle and get shots on target.
Just got mine in today and love it. Mounted on. P227 Headed to the range now to zero. Finally have a high cap 45acp with RDS. BIG thank you and shout out to Craig Pfeifer. @ Sig electro optics division for getting me one. Much appreciated!!! Have waited 2 years
BTW the Steiner MPS. I had one on my p226 it was my primary edc. It lasted exactly 30 days 650 rounds total and died. I purchased based on sage dynamics rec. Also could not disable the auto off funtion. Sent back to steiner. Id stear clear until they get the kinks worked out.
I finally got mine today 6 months after I order it.. I got the 32 moa circle 2 moa red dot AND yes I mount it on my New Sig P320 Spectre Comp look good...
Great optic, now please make this same optic but smaller for the P365's pistols and you will crush the competition. the plastic Romeo zero is just junk but this one is a winner
Hey Sig, heres some advise. Drop the wrench and cut the price by 50% and you might have a chance. $909.99 is insane for a red dot. All of your prices need to be dropped for that matter.
Ordered a P320 XTen with the raised sights and Romeo 2 on it. I love the dot, it’s awesome, but one of the shroud screws broke off at the head after only 200 rounds at the range. Would’ve been nice for SIG to make the screws a bit more robust
I can not wait to get my hands on a couple of these bad boys! Also would love to see some of these features added to the Romeo Zero 2. Keep up the great innovation #SigSauer!! #NeverSettle
@Phil: "But wait, there's more!" :D Thoroughly excited to get this one. Been waiting, in fact. Love my 1Pros and even more, my 3s. But, ruggedness has always been a concern (broken 2 in the past). And, not to mention dirt on the emitter is always annoying. Looking forward to trying this out on one of the carries.
$909.99? Holy smokes that’s a lot for a red dot. Almost twice the price of some of the big name closed emitter sights that have been proven in testing by the likes of channels like Sage Dynamics. I can’t wait until Aaron Cowan gets his hands on one of these.
Please release a 3.9" P320 XCompact (aside from the Spectre model) 🙏 it would be nice to get one straight from Sig that's the size of a P320 Compact/M18 without getting a discountinued XCarry and all the parts to build a 3.9" P320 XCompact.
Very imaginative design. I like it. Any chance you can license the ACSS reticle from Primary Arms. It is so intuitive when you aren't perfectly aligned to get on target.
Go to their website. They have their own dot with circle. Its not the chevron but as close as you'll get from Sig. The price tag is a bit crazy. $900 what happen to the $600 a year ago? Jeepers!!!
Nice to see it on the market but the other options for enclosed emitters are more attractive. The he509t is significantly cheaper, the ACRO is same price but from a company with a better rep, the Steiner MPS is $100 cheaper and comes from one of the best optics manufacturers on the planet. The fastfire 4 isn’t exactly the best but it’s significantly cheaper. And all of those come with a much more common footprint. The only feature I like on the romeo2 is the cowittness notch but the footprint limits how many handguns it would work with. Maybe if it was $200 cheaper but I don’t see it going many places other than some P320s with your weird footprint.
Is the second lens to convert it into a fully enclosed unit made of the same polycarbonate material as the Romeo Zero? If so, that stuff is horrible, scratches way to easy.
Love it, but not at such a high price point. Axed from my list even though I'm a China stickler. Should've just made an enclosed only optic with Holosun-like features. Got a feeling it's gonna shit the bed on Sage Dynamic's drop test.
Has everything you can think of Except a circle reticle like a holosun, or the big circle like primary arms collaboration with holosun. There aren’t deal breakers but it would be nice if someone other than holosun did these things
Are you at the Sig Sauer brick-and-mortar store in Southern New Hampshire filming this? I need to get down there. I live up in Plymouth. I'm dying to get down to the store. And possibly see what kind of training the academy offers. At any rate thanks for the great video and keep up the good work.
Interesting. Website shows 4 models - Circle/dot, 3MOA, 6MOA, 10MOA, (all red, no green), body is 7075 aluminum, "ruggedized steel shrouds", shares the Romeo1 Pro footprint (so the same as a DeltaPoint Pro). MSRP for the dots is 779 and the circle dot is 909. Be interesting to see how the shroud holds up if/when Aaron at Sage Dynamics does a few one handed manipulations....
Hi Phil, thanks for a great video highlighting yet again a new, fantastic SIG product. I already watched a review of this optics system from Sage Dynamics a short while ago, but your weapon system in this video caught my eye. Which P320 platform is that? Am currently in the hunt for my first P320, researching extensively on the models in your product line, to the extent of doing a mock custom build in your website.
Really liking what I’m seeing. But I don’t like needing an extra shroud piece but I do like being able to enclose it. Love that option. I love options. Does it have auto brightness? Idc if AB sucks, I love options
@Frank Bonazza III are you referring to the romeo zero elite? because to my understanding that's essentially the same optic as the original romeo zero. still no loading tray or any way to swap batteries without taking the optic off. which is my main complaint
Very interested in this magnet technology to turn off the light when holstered. Is this exclusive to the Romeo 2? Do other optics do this? Are there a lot of holsters with this technology? Or is there a way to add magnets to current holsters to accommodate the optic?
@@jordanstamps5475 spoke with Sig rep about 2 months ago. They claimed that they had something in the pipeline last quarter getting holster companies to make them but when I called a rep from safariland, they said they hadn’t heard anything yet. Maybe I didn’t talk to the right people but it’s got to be coming. That’s going to change the game for battery life for on duty carry and concealed carry if they can implement it into Kydex.

He say yes on his new Instagram post
It performed flawlessly
This got the approval from SageDyanamics’ critical testing! Definitely picking one of these up asap!
$1,000!!! I’ll stick w/ Trijicon and buy 2 instead
This is a very good point. For that price point, it better be an insanely durable optic.
Especially when the Holosun 509 is half the price and proven already
I have been waiting for this sight for so long! No longer am I going to look at a Aimpoint Acro. THIS is going to be the sight for my P320 XCompact.
Very good feature set, which is the innovation we expect from Sig. However, what we also expect from Sig is some problems…..
biggest issue i've seen with Sig pistol RDS are 1) durability (drop tests, etc.) and 2) button quality. It looks like they might have fixed it in this model.
True! I'm looking forward to seeing some torture test videos.
Sage Dynamics / Aaron Cowen specifically....
Now the biggest issue is price - you can buy 2 Holosun 509's for the price of one of these (the SOR21000)
@@ronmartblog looks like their "competition" is the aimpoint P2...but still made in China like holosun

auto brightness option would be useful, but the motac function is genius!
Finally!
2 things I need to know can I get the dot in green and in FDE. That would look sweet on my Sig Sauer M18.
Looks cool so far!
Very cool ideas
I'm excited about this one!
Looks like a good optic for a PCC.
We need a green dot sig !
Cool Video 👍
Thank U for the Info and the Links 👍
Full shroud is interesting, though I’m concern about fogging
Yeah I didn't think about that. It wont be a purged system so it probably will fog up.
The Aimpoint ACRO series also has a full shroud. That is becoming the new thing I suppose.

Insane MSRPs on these
I hope this optic works out. I really like the shroud designs, it's the only thing making me consider purchasing it and moving over from Holosun.
Put those kind of shrouds in the SRO Sights!
