Fantastic technical video! You're such a gentle teacher❤ I can't blow with my glasses on because the distortion messes with my aim. I still have a lot of inconsistencies in my blow so that's my focus for the coming week. Bless your heart for this timely lesson❤❤❤

Thank you, Byron, actually I didn’t create anything in this video lol😅 it was simply a tutorial showing how to blow out the bloom. Thank you so much for being here and your support.😘
🤣🤣🤣 Walrus and shark! 🤣🤣🤣 Such great tips for sure - funny but absolutley spot on! It was also interesting to see the results on the difference in results based on the angle of the blow. Cool video for sure.
Hi Kim, yes that was a shortcoming of the video that I was not able to or didn’t think to take the cameras out to show the results, but trust me the angle of the blow on the lower angle, got more cells and just think about it the lower the angle it’s more like a swipe, the higher the angle, less cells more chance for pillow show. Just try it for yourself and you’ll see, glad you like my shark and walrus.😂😂😂
This was so helpful!!! I have a lung issue but use an air brush. I learned so much from this video though. I always set my air brush at a very low PSI, like my breath would be. However what I learned is the angle!! Thank you so much for this!
Ha!!! I'm definitely going to try the walrus trick! I don't know if I told you or not, but I'm blind in my left eye so I have trouble with distance at times I know this will help me thank you so much!!!!❤❤❤

I’m practicing on small canvases before I try wooden trinket boxes, and I wish I had viewed this vid first. VERY helpful about “finding your mouth” … I couldn’t figure out why my blowing on the CA was causing it to slide over to the far side. Thank you!
Louise, This is so fascinating because, finally on the last tile I did two days ago, I made the connection to what you are saying right now 😉 OMG ... I love this visua videol, I actually giggled out loud...Seriously you are so good at explaining, showing how to do something as easily as possible, and this walrus and shark are the "Best"!!! Girl, as far as I'm concerned you are always "On a Roll" and right on, I might add. 😊 All great teachers, learn as they go, and pass it on Bravo!! I love this video so much, and knew I would learn a better way, no matter what, and the "split screen" is genius!! Thanks Louise, I appreciate your talents and passing what you learn on to us...Take care...🤗☺❤
Thank you, Jude, I had fun making it, but it was only in the creation of the video that I realized I needed to do a double video and how to use my husband‘s phone to get a different angle. But I knew going with the split screen from different angles would be beneficial, especially to illustrate points from one side or the other. I’m glad you enjoyed it and my walrus and shark renditions.😂😂😂 nothing like pulling out a few animals to illustrate a point🤣 once again thank you for being here in all of your support all the time. I appreciate it.
Absolutely helpful and very informative. Definitely going to try blooms again. Gave up because I couldn't get the blow right. Thank you for taking the time to do this video. You're awesome. PS Love the walrus tusks😂
Thank you, Angela, I think you’ll find this helps, once you figure out how to find that center, and you do some muscle memory with your eyes and where they are you’re gonna be fine, but that is a trick to figure out. Good luck and use those tusks.😂
Louise that was I don't even know what to say I am so grateful for that video I've always wanted someone and I did ask someone once if they would put the towel up to their face so I could see their lips and how they're blowing. That is so helpful and for you to take the time to do that is so special. And you mentioned at the end another video about the lips I would love to see that. I want to thank you again for taking your time to help others I appreciate it more than you'll ever know. And like I said you've got this perfected the amount of pillow paint and it seems like you put hardly any paint down and you come out with the most beautiful pieces and all themselves, yummy. So once again thank you from the bottom of my heart and I'll be watching to see if you have another video on the lips and I will be replying this over and over. God bless stay safe and well always .😉💕💕🤲 🙏🏻
Thank you so much, 😘Lisa, after teaching in DC and seeing how people developed in the classroom, I realize that I needed to figure out something and a way of explaining it. I don’t understand the towel concept as you pointed out above. I did mention lips and lips are also another factor here, but I am not probably going to do a video about lips. I think I will lead that to your creative devices. But lips are important how you shape them directly impacts your blow, but I am not imagining how I could possibly have a camera showing my lips at the same time showing the results and I don’t want to get that close to my lips with all my little wrinkles that I’ve gotten nowadays😂 so that will be your imagination. In front of the mirror and see what you can do.🤣🤣🤣 I like to be helpful and I hope that people share what I do to help my channel grow so we all can grow together. That’s all I ask. I appreciate your support and glad to be helpful.😘🧡
I think that might be why I seem to use so much more cell activator than I should. I am not blowing correctly and should concentrate on the said mechanics of my embouchure. As always you are an enormous help for beginners and more advanced for fine tuning us all. Wonderful tutorial.
Thank you so much, 😘Janice, and feel free to share with anyone. I’m trying to grow my channel so every new subscriber helps. And what I’m putting out is definitely helpful so it was a win-win. I appreciate you being here and your comment and your support.😘
Louise, you amaze me! i always learn something new from you. I have been teaching in my community but always using the palette knife a la Jessica. I want to teach the blow to my more advanced student so Ive been breaking down the many aspects of blowing. It really helps that I now know more about what I'm doing (duh!!!) you are my guru! I will be checking out the one for mouth shape, next.
Thank you so much, 😘Maureen, maybe I could take a lesson or two of your swipes. And I don’t think I’m gonna be doing a lip tutorial as logistically. I don’t know how I would set up a camera showing lips and blow at the same time and I really don’t think I want people to get that close to my lips now that they’re getting a little wrinkly.😅 I think I will leave the lip to your creative devices. Thank you for being here.😘
She will huff and puff, and blow your paint down. The comment you made about learning from the audience, triggered a memory. The is this composer named Wayne Musgrave. He's our age now. But back in the 1970s, he went on tour with several of the rock bands, as there keyboardest. He would watch the audience, and wonder what was going on with them, and how the music was effecting them. Later on he got a degree in psychology and human behavior. He pioneered the science in what's call musicology, a way of treating patients with music. I have listened to several of his works, that he also puts out free for anyone, from the Cloud. I have used his music as a way to get through my work day, at my former job. I am a trained speed reader and was working in an information gathering service. I have adult attention deficit disorder, this music helped keep me focused. You might have heard one of his stage names. He was Kieth Palmer of Emerson, Lake and Palmer, when he was on tour with them
Hi Ozwald, you are always so full of such interesting information. And of course, I heard of Emerson Lake and Palmer, one of my songs I really love Back Then was From the Beginning. And it’s absolutely true. I know my husband was an actor, is an actor not acting right now, and he did live interactive shows, and they fed off the audience, there’s a lot of receiving from what the audience cues are to lead a show in a certain direction. I felt the same way when I was teaching I was watching what people were doing, and I was adjusting my teaching tactics to what they needed at the time, very interactive I hear what you’re saying. Always cool speaking with you.!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😘
This is an awesome video! Thank you so much for doing it!! No one has ever explained it better. I even took a course with Shelee at Pourcon and never learnt this. Mind you they were big class sizes and very little time. So no fault to Shelee because she just didn't have time to explain everything. I had problems because I wear progressive glasses. So couldn't decide whether to take them off or leave them on. I think I'm going to buy myself just a cheap pair of readers for blowing and try that. You are a super teacher and so very generous to put the time in to make a video about this. As you said the problem is real! ❤❤❤
Hi Joey, real quick as I have to leave, but I wanted to throw this out there. I also wear progressives, but when I’m blowing, I don’t look through my glasses at all. I’m looking under them. Another free tip! I’m glad this helped it definitely is an eye-opener if you aren’t aware of how to find your blow. I have all kinds of tricks up my sleeve 😂Thank you for your support.😘

Can you help with this? Thank you, Louise for all you do 🙏♥️🌹🌹

Fantastic technical video! You're such a gentle teacher❤ I can't blow with my glasses on because the distortion messes with my aim. I still have a lot of inconsistencies in my blow so that's my focus for the coming week. Bless your heart for this timely lesson❤❤❤
Thank you, 😘Dawn, I always leave my glasses on, but I never looked through them. I look under them. But it’s amazing how your eyes trick you into blowing in the wrong place!

Such a beautiful bloom painting, Louise. It reminds me of Cinderella from 1950, absolutely stunning. You and Marie-Louise are always so cute, adorable, graceful, and inspiring.
Very helpful, thank you!!!!
Planning on trying soon.
Thank you, Michelle and awesome, hope it works for you or certainly helps you. Thank you for being here and your support.😘
This was so helpful!!! I have a lung issue but use an air brush. I learned so much from this video though. I always set my air brush at a very low PSI, like my breath would be. However what I learned is the angle!! Thank you so much for this!
Thanks Debra, 🧡there is so much to know!😘
Brilliant video, Louise! Thank you so much! I’m about to go give this a try.

@@LouiseMcKayArt One should always compliment something or someone they enjoy in life...🤗☺❤
Absolutely helpful and very informative.
Louise thank you so much that was wonderful. im excited to go and do it. so informative
Thank you Kathryn, glad this is helpful and go get ‘em!
This was really helpful since I found my blows were lopsided.
👍🏼
I'm on my way to try now. I had NO intention of painting today lol.🥳
Way to go, Marina there she blows😘🤣

Thank you for being here.😘
Thank you so much I will be trying that with the walrus and shark next time I try a bloom
Thanks Ann, I hope this helps you 😘🧡
Just started the video, I agree, my best called lazy susan was from my mouth!
Wow, 😮 you must have really a great set of lungs. I used to be a swimmer a long long time ago so I know that helps me, but I can go so far!

Yay, good luck🧡

@@LouiseMcKayArt If I don't look through my glasses, I may as well be blind!! Got some readers today and they are 350 strength. I was shocked myself!! I didn't they were that bad!! I love all your tricks and you really seem to know to explain things so well. Your voice is soothing as well. All that helps. Also the fact that you really are sincere about getting people to learn. You have "It".
This video was incredibly well filmed, Louise, and the side and front, angles were so helpful. Your explanations were very clear and concise. My biggest problem has also been finding my mouth 🤣. You are an amazing teacher, I sincerely appreciate your giving so freely of your time and energy to guide and assist us. I did the bloom course 3 years ago, but as I couldn’t find my mouth, I have stayed clear of blooming. I have had some truly beautiful blooms, that I have kept. Thank you Fiona so much for your gracious comment and I have a tip for your white CA…maybe for tip 😉in return!!
The white paint is thicker, use more Floetrol…make it a tad thinner than the black, the halo development will tell you if it’s right
