I'm getting my son an Epiphone Dot 335 with a Marshall amp for his 14th birthday. If that doesn't earn me a World's Greatest Dad coffee mug for my birthday, I don't know what will. LOL!!!
I pick it up today but his birthday isn't until another two weeks. I sort of want to give it to him early, but my wife insists on keeping it a surprise.
How am I only now just finding this? Good grief, bud, you’re fantastic!! Thank you so much for sharing. I too have a Dot (cherry), and hopefully I can make it sing like this someday, bro. Many thanks! 🤘🏾
Good to see a player using their fingers (and thumb) instead of a pick, something I began a few years back-just remember it isn't a competition and you don't have to play every lick in your vocab to show off, sincerity of expression is more impressive.
THANK YOU Jeremy Jacobs - I recently got an Epi DOT 335 Limited Edition Custom Shop Tiger Stripe Sunburst - I've had - over a lot 'o years - Several guitars - BUT - This One FULFILLS me - I no longer Want Every Guitar I see - I am aware that I've Now Got a great deal More Guitar than my current Expertise Justifies - YOU put that Epi DOT 335 thru pretty much Exactly the Sounds that I Wanted to Hear from this model - By the Way - If I could play like you play, I'd Certainly consider myself having arrived as a PLAYER - SO - Disregard the Critics - their Taste is All in Their Mouth - AGAIN - THANK YOU VERY MUCH --- Snortin' Morton
Blew my mind. I have an epiphone dot, Learned a lot on it too. To hear you play, it makes me ponder this guitar... as if it forces a certain style upon someone. You seem to know the guitar better than me, with that being said....we share the same style.
about 3 years late but great playing man. just found one of these hanging on the wall used at my local shop when I was dropping my taylor off for a set up. yes please!
every ,month Im listening to this... almost more than 4 years now... this video will always be my best one. I loveeeeeeeee your playing man. I don't want John Mayer, Fucking fake music therapies, fake lunatic botox EDM... harmful provocations, governments... I just need this to be around me and everyone... This heals me every fucking timeeeeeeee
LOVE it~ Stunning playing Jeremy!!!! Great guitar and what a breeze to play the action on this is superb I just cant get my other guitars set up quite so good, Ive a Korean Peerless made one and its so well made you wouldn't believe~ really cant go wrong with something of this build at a ridiculous low price, Mine cost £100.00 second hand but mint! Pickups ect wouldn't change a thing on it it sounds so nice!
Awesome! I have the same Guitar minus the fancy tailpiece. It was a great use of $429. I also took off the pick-guard. It sounds brighter that way. Rock On!
Wow, the Dot sounds great. I always thought the Dot was a $350 el-cheapo but I can see and hear its much more than that. This thing is awesome. Sounds good with the overdrive tool I just might have to buy one of these.
hello jeremy great playing i always start to feel i am improving then i listen to a player like you and i am ready to throw my guitar out the window i am the color green and it is not because i am irish
Hi Jeremy!....I see you tinker on a wee bit with the axe....! You young whippersnapper,I was never a fan of distortion, but there is distortion AND distortion......! Now I am not only in awe of your left hand's wizardry, but ALSO your right hand 's speed at controlling your sound, while changing from Pick,[or "Plec"..as I learn't 60 yrs ago in 1959!],to finger-picking..then back to pick..but the cutest bit is how you manage to hide the pick then quickly recall it in a flash!! I have the greatest difficulty just HOLDING the plec for more than two minutes due to arthritic pain in my hands, also from injuries as a legacy of coalmining from aged 15 yrs,in 1959..getting your hands crushed with falls of roof stone underground,in a mine, and from being trapped in machinery, doesn't help your guitar-playing any!! Your sound ranges from sweet and crunchy,to warm and really bluesy..you have practiced a lot,it seems, and certainly know how to get the best out of your axe! Meanwhile,I will keep on slogging away, but not for another 60 years!! Cheers Mate, keep up the good work!! Bill in beautiful Northumbria in the UK
Just curious? I play a 2007 Dot. No need to tell you why! You own one. You get it. But yours has a very different tailpiece. Mine has a Tune-O-Matic bridge and saddle. I'm assuming yours has been hot-rodded a little? If so, what made you decide to do that? Not looking to change my Dot. I could not be happier with it just the way it is. Just wondering why the difference.
hey! yes, it is me, lol. unfortunate news for everyone, I just sold this guitar!! :( I ended up trading it for a different epiphone. This was a fantastic guitar, I kept everything stock except the tuners which I changed out for Gibson deluxe tuners, and I added the Vibrola tailpiece. The pickups/electronics were all stock when I made this video. I highly recommend the dot to anyone looking for a great, inexpensive hollobody!
Though I do have 2 questions first why swap out the Grover's and two what model did this exact tail piece come from and did you feel it made any difference to tone over your standard stop tail piece cheers and thanks in advance 🌈
Really nice playing buddy but I have a ES 335 and I can’t seem to get a warm tone out of my 69 Fender Bassman. A little help here please? Oh well I’ll just listen

I hear it's great for a solo gig in a wine bar! Just kidding (-;
I wish I had a dad like you.
Nicely done, man.

Dorsae Thanks.
"Hi I'm Jeremy and I play guitar". You certainly do my friend!! 👊
I'm pretty sure the 24 people that gave this a thumbs down couldn't play guitar if someone played it for them...This guy is AWESOME!
They are deaf
Just know this. Every year I am watching this. And I will forever
It's now 2020 and I'm just seeing this video. Pretty darn good, dude.
How am I only now just finding this? Good grief, bud, you’re fantastic!! Thank you so much for sharing. I too have a Dot (cherry), and hopefully I can make it sing like this someday, bro. Many thanks! 🤘🏾
Wow, that was fantastic. The tone is absolutely killer and your skills make great use of it.
Fucking stellar tone and playing...
I've been watching a lot of demo videos for this guitar but you've just sold me sir! Fantastic playing. I'd love to be half as good as you.
Simply the best clip with this guitar hold your head high Sir .......
I have Dot and may I say? It has never been even been close to have been planed like this. That is the guitar for you bro. Please rock on !!!!
yes fucking please. that shows what a great guitar in the right hands can do.
Good to see a player using their fingers (and thumb) instead of a pick, something I began a few years back-just remember it isn't a competition and you don't have to play every lick in your vocab to show off, sincerity of expression is more impressive.
Close to the best I’ve heard and seen

Wow what a player you are! Really enjoyed watching you play and wonderful tones you got going on there too. Many thx mate.
Excellent phrasing, tone, everything is where it should be. Plus, the 335 has to be the ultimate guitar. There, I’ve said it.
