Would love to see maybe something with light teal and light blue added. I live in Florida and my home is (beachy)! With gray, teal, blue and white. Looking to do my counters and love this new product.
Did you spread your base coat with your hands or what is the best way? I got titanium white from ATD for my base. That’ll be ok, right? I’m going to play around with colors before I pour. White, pearl, silver and gray…and some diamond dust. I have blue also but not sure if I want to add a tiny bit or not
Yes just with my hand very gently. It moves super easy so no pressure is needed. And yes all the ATD colorants will work beautifully with this product.
The components of the combined product are FDA approved. Heat resistant up to 475. Scratch resistant as well. I did durability testing this weekend. Just need to edit my videos.
Love it. I had the idea of marble on each side and maybe a greenish kind of dirty pour in the middle. At least that’s how I’d like to do my countertop. Love it can’t wait to try it.
Yes absolutely and you'll see I use them in some other videos as well. I like both really but intend to go back to the ones in this video. I find once they are primed with material they push better. But I suggest you try both and see what you like.
Does this epoxy not stain easily? Usually epoxy countertops stain SO easily. If even a bit of carrot juice drips off your cutting board you’re going to have a permanent orange stain.. is it the same with this product?
Only thing I've found to stain the topcoat is mustard. We always recommend using the SP Elite topcoat for durability though. Here's the durability video: SP Elite Topcoat Durability Testing ua-cam.com/video/q5r2IwMLqXg/v-deo.html
I'm referring you to a clear flood coat of PolyKote to add an extra layer of protection and dimension. Then we finish with the SP Elite topcoat for durability.
@@ArtisanDesignConceptsthank you a lot. Can I ask a couple of more questions please. 1. My countertops are 60 square feet, they sell less only 2 gallon buckets. The description says it will cover 50 square feet. Do you think I can still cover or it’s better to buy 4 gallons? 2. Can I mix any epoxy related pigments, paint, diamond dust with polykote product or only their own pigments? 3. I don’t see the flood clear coat on their website, maybe it has a different name. 4. You mentioned in one of your videos that no need to tape the edges of the countertop however I see that polykote a bit liquid. Do you still recommend not using tape and if tape is okay to use how soon should I take it out? Thank you a lot.
Not really. I've found that you can achieve a very similar look using the roller and no damning needed. When I've tried a dirty pour, the colors mix too much in the cup.
@@ArtisanDesignConcepts - makes sense. I need to apply it on an in-place countertop with a 4" rounded-edge backsplash that cannot be removed. Would it work? Or do you think it's too fluid to work on a vertical surface?
Everything you can use in epoxy you can use in this. I highly suggest you watch our live video from 2 weeks ago. It includes so many answers and details that I'm positive will help you.
Looks beautiful Staci❤
Thank you! 🤗

My favorite colors!!! I'll definitely be doing some colorful pieces and attempting a beach scene with PolyKote.

Is it FDA approved? Does it resist heat, what temperature? What about scratches? I couldn’t find what this product was made out of on their website.

@@ArtisanDesignConcepts thanks! I have placed my order after I watched your new videos, planning to use it on my buttler's pantry countertop.

Awesome! Can't wait to see what you create! Be sure to post it in our FB group. facebook.com/groups/3812148012185825/?ref=share_group_link
Can you use foam roller, if so will be any difference? Was thinking no lint.

Very interested in seeing a beach design with the polykote
I will definitely be working on a sample to see how the waves turn out. Stay tuned!

YESSS!!! This!! 🥰✨🙏
You mention about clear coat, are you referring to top coat or art coat?
I'm referring you to a clear flood coat of PolyKote to add an extra layer of protection and dimension. Then we finish with the SP Elite topcoat for durability.

How thick do your edges end up ? Do you need a 2nd coat ?
Looks Savage ! Wish they took Pay Pal.
Flood coat is up to you but most counters I will do a flood coat and then topcoat.
What brand is the alloy pigment?
Stonecoat. But you can use any silver you like.
Greetings, beautiful veins, how long does it take to dry to put the top coat on it?
Dry in 24 hours for next step whether that is a flood coat or topcoat. Topcoat video posting tomorrow.
Would this product work to do a dam and a dirty pour?
