Yeah just watched Madam Web and she was awful. But I liked her in both projects you listed + Reality. I think it’s her line readings that are a bit off and it’s amplified by poor scripts.

Sydney Sweeney is FANTASTIC in the movie Reality, I feel like entertainment journalists should do their due-diligence before making a blanket statement about an actor.
The difference is that the Guardians of the Galaxy are supposed to be goofy. Captain Marvel was not pitched as a goofy character, so when goofy things happen there, you either have to nail it or it will fail spectacularly.
Also I think that Megan Fox got very popular, she was never she was never well reviewed as an actress, whereas Sydney Sweeney has been praised for both euphoria and the White Lotus.
I just hope Joker 2 does well, otherwise it could start a chain reaction on bad word of mouth to the other DC films projects. I think it’s going to do great, however.

Superman is incredibly hard to adapt only to a single medium- video games and that's purely because of gameplay. Stories are actually relatively easy, it's a man who can have everything but chooses not to. It's someone for whom physical contest is a triviality in almost every case and so it always comes to it being a mental/emotional/philosophical thing with him. It has INCREDIBLE storytelling potential
People just think Superman is boring and overpowered because his villains are never up to his level except for Zod. Metallo, Solomon Grundy or Braniac could wreck Supes without Kryptonite.

The wicked trailer wasn’t bad, it just had a different vibe than a lot of people were expecting. It does feel a little like the Wednesday series (which worries me about the production quality), but some of the scenes not set at the school look really good.

Sydney Sweeney was EXCELLENT in Euphoria and her minor role in Handmaid's Tale, she can definitely act down in a dramatic role at least.
But shes can be awkward in other roles, particularly comedies.
