They are just testing your speaking abilities. Don't worry too much about the contents. I did mine 3 weeks ago I thought I really messed up because I was trying to answer some critical thinking topics. But I received a score of 7.0

You're right. A lot of ex-examiners and review centers said that IELTS examiners don't care about your knowledge in a certain topic. All they care about is your communication skills.
I am not that confident when i speak English language in the public and i am planning to get my IELTS to work abroad. If the person who give the exam like this guy at least you can develop some confidence. His voice well modulated and feels like you just talking with your friends.

I had my speaking today and my examiner was so sweet. She was profoundly listening to each and everything I was saying and even showed interest by showing various happy expressions on her face. I am so happy and hoping to get good bands. Finger crossed 🤞🏻

I had a enough confident to have an eye contact with my examiner However I failed to use complex grammar such as conditional and other past/present perfect continuous. In addition My fluency wasn’t satisfying and I forgot to use my fav idioms and phrases I am hoping this band score. I am gonna upload my result to youtube channel like expected vs real Pronunciation - 6.5 Grammar- 5 Fluency and coherence - 6 Lexical resource- 5.5 Overall speaking - 5.75 which will be either 5.5 or 6
I took an exam 2 weeks ago via zoom. I thought that I would get higher score because I used wide range of advanced vocabularies and I answered the questions without pausing but examiner always interrupted me and moved on to another question without waiting for me to finish my speech. I got 5.5. It disappointed me

This IELTS test is so strange :/ . Even using I don't know "advanced" structure, good structure and some "catchy" words, I've got 5.5 as this lady. This is so strange, it might be because of my visible hesitation in movements. However, I'm going to do second test in the next week >:)

I've been searching for new "advanced" structure as same as new words, some phrases since I started preparing for an exam. After it, I have been using all of these gained information completely everywhere. You can even use it, when you're preparing for the speaking session. Just repeat repeat and repeat. From my point of view, this is the most "effective" method for me, that can be probably useful for you :)

Last test, I was sitting outside of the ielts speaking test room so I can hear my fiancée’s speaking. My fiancee is much better than her in all aspects and still get 5.5, it’s crazy.
I’d say that she 100% came out from one of the post Soviet Union countries. It’s very obvious for me (Russian speaker), that she has some kind of russian accent in her English
Yes it's incredible i did a lot better than her and i was also confident the day of exam and i got the same score than her . I think iltes exam is different from country to country and i didnt have the chance to be in good condition of speaking face to face like her. This should be really revised
Reminds of me of myself fidgeting with my mask like that. I was worried how the mask would affect my speaking, clarity wise not to mention whether it was sliding down my nose (it wasn’t) . I was pleasantly surprised to find that i was quite clear ie sounds were reverberating as much as i wanted it too as opposed to being muffled.

Personally , i thought that she will be under 5.5 , around 4.5 -> 5.0 due to lack of topical vocab , she speaks not really loud and her information is not really clear . By this way I got an idea on how the examineer will asked & how I will answer to him first thing you must need to do is just relax yourself & stay calm so that you can answer properly the question it is better to answer him directly to the point on what he is asking,
when the question is familiar topics or issues to you, it would be easy to speak confidently and you will have a tremendous vocabulary to impress your examiner.
