You're so right about the Vmax 1200, fast as you want it to be, comfortble cruiser and handles corners fine if you ride it correctly, slow in and fast out. The vboost system is addicive but expensive as fuel consumption drops rapidly if you overuse it but that extra 50 bhp coming in like a light switch is serious fun I have an aftermarket overide switch on my Vmax for the vboost system, three positions of standard (coming in at 6000 rpm), off or on from tickover which is quite mental in low gears so I can choose how I want to ride, and there's always the throttle, your right hand dictates how dangerous you want any bike to be. I've had mine for 25 years, lightly customised with 6 pot brakes, 17 inch rear wheel, lower seat, straight through race exhausts, stage 1 dynojetted, progressive fork springs, aftermarket rear shocks, aftermarket LED headlight and one off fork shrouds that make it uniquely mine. I quite fancied the new 1700 generation 2 machine but it's far too expensive and limited to 135 mph is a major dissapointment for 1700cc V4 with 200bhp as that's far short of what it's really capable of. And yes the new Rocket 3 looks fantastic and as a six footer myself would suit my size but again far too expensive and I won't live long enough to see it depreciate in value to the extent that I could afford a used one.
I'm a proud owner of both a Yamaha xj 600 from 92 ( rebuilt and customized at home) and a Suzuki Van Van 125, and man the lastest ain't winning you any sprint races but damn, there's something about it that grows on you, that thing just goes wherever you need it to go, If I had to take a motorcycle trough the apocalypse that would be it ;) It's like having a friend that you can count on as you age.
Some very rare bikes mentioned. Enjoyed. The Vmax is a big desire all around the world. The Diavel and the Rocket are quite rare in my country. Cheers. Keep going.
Nice list especially the old school ones. I would love to own or try a Yamaha TRX 850, a Ducati Paso 750 or a Ducati SS I would add a BMW K100 ( the flying brick ). I hope to see some older bikes being tested on your channel like the Honda XL recently. Thank you !
TZR: go for the 250. Was my first bike when I was 18 and I had a really good time with it, on street and track. It's got enough power to feel fast and 125s are really just for short and skinny riders (especially the old race bikes). And about Buell, you'll fit on it quite comfy. I'm 195 and I ride a XB12s, maybe not for traveling, but for on or two hours of fun in the mountains it's just right.
If you like muscle cruisers like rocket 3, ducati diavel, try Yamaha VMax - 1200 CC - 89kW/120 HP - V4, top speed of 240 KM/h I believe there was also a 1700 CC version with like 200 HP.
A helluva list! I would swap the Ninja 400 for the Hybrid (have they nailed it or no?) and I would squeeze a big 350-500 2-stroke in there (are they as bad to ride as people say?).
The triumph rocket is sick, but way too powerfull for me i think. My top 3 would be: 3. Carducci, sc3 dual sport 2. moto guzzi griso Ipothesys aria v12 1. Godet Egli-Vincent, Le café racer
and think that the lavalier microphones were specially designed to avoid the inconvenience of having to hold the mic.... probably to use the wooden spoon to cook a nice meal)
Really interesting rundown, and you honestly surprised me with some choices after giving your reasons for choosing them! I could've sworn you were leading into some specific model, then it was completely different 0_0 I'll throw out some names, no holds barred, as you implied: Suzuki RG500 Honda Rune Vincent Black Shadow Suzuki RE5 I might choose very differently to you if I had every bike ever liked up in front of me; I was trying to think of what might fit into your list. It's hard for me, because I'd prefer to find a rock-solid, mediocre (or great) platform and play with it to make it 100% what I want, rather than searching around endlessly for this 'perfect bike' that never existed. Still, it'd be fun to try out ridiculous 6-cyl behemoths and dinky 50cc runarounds.
When i think of my dream bike i always think of the phrase "Never meet your heroes". This will be true, especially for the vmax. Most riders were disappointed about the handling. Some bikes i would like to drive in my life: ZX 9R GSX-R 400 almost had a test drive with it but it wasnt restricted to 34hp so the dealer gave me a bandit 400 for a test ride. ☹ Harley Fat Boy Ducati 916 Ducati 900 MH Evoluzione MV Agusta F4 MV Agusta Superveloce Serie Oro Triumph Thruxton A Goldwing only to test how that moving living room drives 😀 A fast two stroke of the 80s. Maybe a suzuki rg 500 oder a yamah rd 500 Most of them i would only ride once. They need a place in my living room only to look at the beautys every day.
I'm highly interested in the CBR900RR Sc28 VFR400 (V4 400cc is insane) BMW R80GS Bosshoss V8 ( 4,5L V8 🤯) CX500 Turbo H2 And the "Reitwagen" the first motorcycle ever 😊
I have ridden most of these bikes. Most suck in reality. My 2 favorite bikes I actually own, the 22 Harley Road glide ST with full upgrades suspension and tuned for every day riding, and the Ducati desert X rally for fun in the mountains. My next bike will be a BMW 1300 gs. Ha
I'm curious; you are an experienced rider but don't seem to care much about serious riding boots, even off-road. Any particular reason or just a cost thing?

Nice list man, you've got good taste in bikes.
Personally I'd add an Evo Softail to the list Just because they're so iconic
i'm 6'4 270 lbs, I rode a Vanvan 200 and loved it, I looked stupid as heck on it but it was worth it.

Actually have a few ones from the used market coming ☺️

Excellent I'm already anxious I won't miss them !
@@FreeMilesMCGreat!
You could do the price brackets?
If you like cruisers, sport bikes and Harley sporters, then you should look for an 80s Yamaha XJ Maxim! 🎉

I'll throw out some names, no holds barred, as you implied:
Suzuki RG500

Tarform looks awesome and Can Am Origin too.

Typo in the title 😀 Love the content
Thank you for the correction and the compliment ☺️

Any of the Verge electric bikes.
