This isn't like pro rodeo where the riders & bullfighters have practiced & practiced. Even the bulls have practiced. Cattle prods have been used for years. It's to get the animal moving. When you're in a pen with them & they are coming at you, a little shock may keep you from going over the panel.
Shocking livestock out of the chute is stupid and frowned upon all over it dosent help anything butt make um explode out butt it also scars the crap out of the animal so it won't buck as good as it can it's wondering what bit hims ass

When I went on a field trip to the rodeo, they told us that the animals aren’t actually being shocked. They put a piece of string around its waist, and it bucks like that to try and get it off. But I don’t support rodeos.
