My humble interpretation of the Angel/Devil lyric is that it’s about perspective, which is a central theme of AoT. Obviously something showed up, but what it is depends on who YOU are. Whatever showed up is whatever it is. What you label it is on you. If it aligns with your beliefs, it’s an angel. If not, it’s a devil.
It always amazes me how from a single song you can understand the tone / main theme of the whole story of an anime in this case but also of a game. This shows that the composer was especially good but also that you are really good at what you do.
Final fantasy xii, please. The musics are on the river side, battle on the big bridge, respites, clan hall, sky city bhujerba. Just pick one and trust me you will love it, atlas.

@@Xenoblade_Natsu No, JJK's sound tracks were average shounen soundtracks. Sawano is another level.
Wow your analysis was very accurate. Another soundtrack I didn't see mentioned from the show in the comments that I'd love to see a reaction is "Counterattack Mankind". This track started in s1 and is heavily referenced in many future tracks and it sort of evolves with the series. I always thought the motif of this track was core to the spirit of the show.
One of the reasons i actually slightly prefer Vogel im Käfig to this one, because you can understand the Lyrics there much better AND there is more of them^^
It's the same with the english osts, some lyrics you can make out but for the most part you wouldn't be able to tell what they're saying unless you looked up the lyrics. Regardless, the osts are still good. The bg music + the emotions and quality of the vocals makes up for the poor pronunciation.

That would be really cool!
Do you want that the universe explote???!!!.
6:26 he said damn you at almost the same time as eren when he transforms
that part isn't even close the the part where eren transforms, eren transforms only in the drum part where all the other instruments and mika is silent and onky the drums are playing
@@regularinternetuser6647 yeah my bad I thought it was close to the part where Eren says it
The fact that you reacted to this just made my day!
Awesome!
Y’all...I always thought that by singing “freedom” it meant freedom was being stolen from them, but i hadn’t considered that it meant a freedom to do whatever you wanted, even kill. And THAT is where the song goes full circle with me from season 1 all the way to season 4...Atlas, you hit the hammer hard on the nail. Thank you for your reaction and analysis of the soundtrack!
Thank you Alejandra 😄
Eren literally screams „I will kill them all! I will destroy the world! I am free!” When he’s tearing Annie to shreds at the end of the first season.
@@adreak9868 remember hate came from love
a little bit late, but the translation isnt correct. Frieden though phonetically close to freedom (you basically pronounce it like freedom but with an "n" at the end like freedon) translates to peace. The german word for freedom is "Freiheit".
@@EnigmazGuide Eren definitely has attachment issues so when he joined the Cadet Corps he saw them as his family. In a way I think it was harder for him to accept the fact that Reiner, Annie and Berthold betrayed him like that then when his mother died
Man how can you not get chills from this. Just remembering ''that'' episode makes me an emotional wreck...what a masterpiece really.

Same! Finally someone who is reacting to aot ost
yes we are
I've been looking for the longest time for a musician to react and review the soundtracks of Attack on Titan. Finally
Yeah this video is gonna blow up soon. I’d highly highly HIGHLY recommended watching this show. The show is just littered with fantastic pieces just like this. And the story is unbeatable. It’s so good it will give you goosebumps constantly.
vogel im kafig is even better. this is like a remix of that one. the way it builds on the melody and the motif is astounding. there's no need to react to that one anymore since they share the same motif/melody but man if you got some spare minutes give that one a listen
Nothing beats the OG
ət'æk 0N tάɪtn is proabaly the best imo
Facts Vogel Im Kafig is so fucking good, I like the original because it's more mellow and emotional
@@anujmudgal3185 well i like it is because it builds up the hype most prominently on the trailer and episode 1 of aot s3 p2
@@anujmudgal3185 ət'æk 0N tάɪtn is my favourite because of the theme of it all and how well it fits the show
I would so pay to see you react to the actual show, because the music hits so much harder when something crazy is happening in the show.
I wish I could erase my memory so I could go back and re-live this scene in attack on Titan. One of the best scenes I have ever seen.
Attack on titan takes place in a fictional recreation of germany, and youseebiggirl plays in one of the most important and epic moments of the series, which you've probably already seen once since it's so iconic.
Ikr😭
A fictional recreation of Germany..? What in God’s name are you on about?
@@marcuswheeler780 its not actual Germany.. but in the AOT world, it represents germany, and german characters, with german names. Plus the house designs in AOT are inspired from germany. Isiyama Hajime said this in an interview.
@@marcuswheeler780 There's a lot of German influence in the design of humanity in the walls. Also the vast majority of characters have German names.

But yeah, geographically the show takes place on the island of Madagascar.
The emotional significance plays a big part on this song.
The Sawano brand is really felt in each of their creations, it is something really great
Edit: 5:24
when you know it's going to be a good reaction
6:19 the way he said "damn you" I exactly remembered eren also saying "damn you traitors" with this ost lol
If you want to check out Attack on Titan onces more you should watch/listen to "Vogel im Käfig" its kind of a twin to YouSeeBIGGIRL, or even a newer song of the series called cost of freedom both are glorious
Ps. greetings from Germany by the way the lyrics in the attack on Titan song are most of the time/partly german because the (story), The Land and the charakters are inspiried by germany but its still sung by a japanese woman so as a German you can hear the difference.
I have to add another comment first thanks for the 93 likes to this point of time and secoundary T-KT is not very long but a beautiful soundtrack, that I completly forgot to mention ;)

Will you wake up crying? (Shhh)
gosh, just listening to it with you gives me chills all over again!! Attack On Titan has some of my most favored soundtracks by far from a tv series!! It's gorgeous!
This scene was so intense. Brings out all the pain and agony our heroes faced up to this point of the story.
A Minute of Silence for those who cant actually find this amazing OST.

I recommend "Perfect Time" from Seven Deadly Sins, the same composer of AoT btw.
isn't it the composer from 7DS only composing for season4?

My humble interpretation of the Angel/Devil lyric is that it’s about perspective, which is a central theme of AoT. Obviously something showed up, but what it is depends on who YOU are. Whatever showed up is whatever it is. What you label it is on you. If it aligns with your beliefs, it’s an angel. If not, it’s a devil.
Please Gehrmann's theme from bloodborne, and "strength and discipline" from sekiro. Love your work!

It always amazes me how from a single song you can understand the tone / main theme of the whole story of an anime in this case but also of a game. This shows that the composer was especially good but also that you are really good at what you do.
Absolutely
The track Barricades from season 3 is really amazing too. Anyone else agree?

Final fantasy xii, please. The musics are on the river side, battle on the big bridge, respites, clan hall, sky city bhujerba. Just pick one and trust me you will love it, atlas.
Could you react to The poem for everyone's souls from the Persona series?
with this song you can imagine and listen the "KONO URAGIRIMONO GAAA" of eren
I'd love to see you react to the intros of Attack On Tian! Also more Made In Abyss music!
The intros are songs not soundtracks so nope
I'd kill to hear Hanazeva and Transcendence, or Rumble of Scientific Triumph
Yeah, the openings are not a part of the OST. That said, I agree that they are worth reacting to (I'd definitely be interested in seeing him react to the full version of Jiyuu no Tsubasa or Shoukei to Shikabane no Michi in particular)
Kevin Penkin needs to be analised

5:21 I totally had that same feeling when he smiled and nodded at the camera at that moment lol
Hiroyuki Sawano is the only one capable of making fire soundtracks like these, no one else can do what he did.
Interesting username
@@gabenvandenbrink9114 LMAO I just noticed wtf
@@Amunny Yeah like i said. Very... interesting?
The composer for Jujutsu Kaisen, as well ad the composer that does Haikyuu!!, MHA, and One Piece Film: Gold reach up there with Sawano IMO
@@Xenoblade_Natsu No, JJK's sound tracks were average shounen soundtracks. MHA's OST were good, but not something I could listen to over and over again (Especially the arrangement, it was pretty generic) Compare that to YSBG, they had a fuckin suite music video, that's how good they are.
The stars aligned for this show. One of, if not the best stories. One of, if not the best animation studio. One of, if not the best composer.
"Damn you! You traaitoorrs!!"❤
Aaww that scene is just seared onto my mind.
I like that you emphasized the transition. It is timed perfectly with a huge transition and plot reveal in the scene this music debuts at... T_T
I love the way it switches to "Vogel im Kafig" (the part with the lyrics, which was one of the main themes from season 1) partway through.
The lirycs are in german but with the Japaneese accent its barely understandable.
Dem möchte ich zustimmen. Ohne die Untertitel verstehe ich nur die Hälfte.
One of the reasons i actually slightly prefer Vogel im Käfig to this one, because you can understand the Lyrics there much better AND there is more of them^^
Which makes it all the better. I heard actual Germans cover the song, it didn't vibe with me.
In a way, that fact is what makes the OST so interesting to listen to. Like, it's close enough to our world but not quite, if you know what I mean.
It's the same with the english osts, some lyrics you can make out but for the most part you wouldn't be able to tell what they're saying unless you looked up the lyrics. Regardless, the osts are still good. The bg music + the emotions and quality of the vocals makes up for the poor pronunciation.
😯 Me realising how deap analysis Atlus, some one who doesn't know the plot, can make of this song.
