Probably one of my favorite videos you've put out. I've been wanting to see a billet swingarm in the atv industry for a few years now! Definitely tired of cracking the fabricated ones. Love to see the design work on fusion too, since I use it every day at work. Would love to see a billet swingarm for the trx450 as well!
Great videos! I'm inspired to try and do some of this work myself. Pleae keep adding all the technical details. I love to learn, so these videos are wonderful.
I literally just modeled something from scan data this past week in Catia V5 for work. Been doing CAD design since 1996. Love the new billet parts your doing. Cant wait to see the finished product...next youll need to get FEA software.
I just started trying to learn fusion drawing inspiration from you guys. So my story is I have a fabrication shop but we manufacture truck bodies and we do misc structural steel it’s the trade I grew up in and started my own business. Manufacturing and machining has always been an interest to me. I’ve always been more into the pitbike scene and I started with making frame cradles for 110s and misc skid plates, peg bars etc. I’ve made long travel swingarms. Your video on the steel swingarm especially interested me in how you shrink the 2x1 tube down for the pivot tube - I did it slightly different but I really liked how you did it. If you decide to keep doing fusion videos you will absolutely have my views. Do you design in bend tech as well or do you just import step from fusion? I have a bend tech as well, we mainly run handrails through it im fairly competent in that software but i definitely don’t use it to its potential. If you did a bend tech video I may be the only one watching but that would be cool too. As always great videos
It would be awesome if you started selling 250r frames. Always wanted one but prices are getting out of hand. You guys should make kits to put ktm 2 stroke motors if the YFZ450 chassis, I bet lots of 2strokers would buy them.
I have started using fusion 360 and I wanna learn more and make it easier for me if you have quicker ways to do things to make my life easier that would be great
@@BVCOFFROAD no I get that I was just trying to answer your question about how to make the front end. I think it was very narrow at the bottom and a few inches apart where the top an arms mount. It’s been awhile since I saw one though. I would definitely want some form of long travel front end!
From “A” billet . A billet refers to an ingot or rough pour . It makes no reference to alloy , grain direction or condition. What alloy or condition will the machined aluminum part be?
So to explain… we will be using 6061 or 7075 billet aluminum and machining it (obviously). Just like we do all of our parts . They come in different shapes and sizes and our raw material will be purchased close to the size of the part and subtractive machined 🤓
Dude this is wild! I never would have imagined you would be designing a 250r frame.
Gotta do it b4 the world gets any crazier 🤣🤣
Is this something you guys are going to offer or just a 1 off?
Thank you for doing this innovative 250R frame components!!! 🏁🏁🏁
We are excited for it. Thank you for watching
Very excited to follow this series. Seems like I have too many hobbies but I’m ready to build another R.
these videos are awesome man I love being able to see this part of the process behind these projects!
this got me more pumped to see your future products

Welcome back .
Can't wait to buy one !
This has been awesome to watch.
Very excited on this video series
I’m starting to develop a man crush. Lol
🤠
Titanium frame / timoly frame and if you made some compressed forged carbon fiber pieces aswell.

I would love two of these! Can't wait to see the final product and if you produce some for sale.
Thats awesome! We will be for sure.
This is gonna be bad ass!!
Idk if it’s possible but could you design it to were you just change a couple rail and you go from narrow farmed to standered

As always great videos
I draw most of my bend tech stuff flat in 2d and import it as their software (as good as it is) gives me a headache after the ease of using fusion

W-tec in Netherlands us a billet swingarm that bolts together and work great.
That is awesome ! Like i said it works great on our BW way better than fab - we are excited to do it

I always thought the Walsh frame with a cr500 link was the best setup.
Walsh stuff is awesome! I just want to make my own

Are you planning on selling these?
If there is a demand i dont see why not
