Good video. I live In Worthing and it's between Chichester & Brighton plus I drive a swb vw T5 with only 82000 on the clock. So I'm sort of in the same boat as Chris. There's not a lot of work going out from Chichester so he'd have to travel out to either Portsmouth, Southampton or to Worthing, Brighton. But the biggest problem is getting work back home so dead miles really effect my profit. Next year I'll definitely be tramping out now that I've a load more experience with excellent feedback.
Mate really really appreciate you taking the time to reply to my email. I know it was a long email as well. Thanks so much, top man 👍🏻 Will let you know when I’m up and running. Might not be until after new year or even hold out until end of Feb. But as I think I said in the email depends what happens at home in the next couple of months. Cheers again all the best.
I used to work for a pallet network, I wouldn't ship my goods that way now if needed. Not exactly safe and secure, the breakages, geting their late, the way goods were handled was horrendous.
Ello mate, it's late on a Saturday so I obviously cannot ring the cx to ask. I'm struggling like mad to get a reasonable insurance quote for git. Is it acceptable to use something like box guard for goods in transit & have a standard business policy with haulage (hire & reward)
Hi pal, I don’t see why not, Aslong as you have a GIT policy and hire and reward I can’t see there being an issue. Personally I use a broker who got me Hire and reward, GIT and public liability all in one policy.
Hi Freddie im just starting up i have had a couple of chats with Karl from the Cx he has informed me that they mite be changing it to 7 day payment but they take a couple of % of your money for the job so they do all the paperwork from the shippers just wondering if you had heard about this
Honestly pal I’ve not heard anything about it, don’t know how they’d work it and why they’d do it after always saying they have nothing to do with the payment transaction site of it. If you hear anything else let me know
It’s definitely not embarrassing it’s admirable pal, I don’t think it’s going to affect CX but it will give you a very high insurance premium for hire and reward insurance
I never use cx. Basically no jobs worth any money, they charge 2 grand a year for getting the work. I've a lwb sprinter and use anyvan always. Got my own delivery customers that I've built up and regularly go to Spain and Italy with jetskis and parts. Won't do furniture, only motorbikes or jetskis or tow boat's, trailers etc. I don't handball anything. Don't waste your money or time on cx, far to many foreigners on there doing less than quid a mile,,, plus you got to wait 30 days to get your money. Anyvan pay every 9 day's regardless and much better company
Another great video from everyone’s favourite driver shipper
Cheers pal

Does being a new driver affect using CX? This is embarrassing i'm 37 and only just learned to drive but I can afford a LWB 2020 van.

I agree CX is rubbish atm, is it worth it doing the EU jobs paying the extra for a Transport manager and O Licence etc
What insurance provider you use for trips to EU?
Screw this shit, will stick to my current business
