Great video - thanks for all the tips! Very detailed.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for letting us know Mark. Where are you located?
Great video. Do you have any video that shows how to adjust the colors?. We are trying to print some labels but the colors that are printed look darker than the ones in the screen.
Hi, thanks for the question.
From our tech, "adjusting the color is simple but may take some time to tweak. On the main Printing Preferences page, the right side of the page underneath the label preview, there is a Color Correction tab.
The Color Correction will allow you to adjust the Brightness, Contrast and Saturation settings on your image, as well as increase the usage of the Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow Ink levels. You can print and play with these settings until you get the result that you want."
Very informative my man. Amazing job! Bravo bravo bravo 🙌

Does the ink dry quick? Thinking of buying to pint 5-10 times a year labels. Need flexibility to print quickly when I need it.
1+ i would like to know
Yes, typically the ink dries very quickly. Some inkjet receptiove materials may very, so be sure not to buy a lot of labels until you are happy with the material. If you follow the recommendations, yes, you will be able to print 5-10/year.
@@NeumannMarkingSolutions how about the ink cartridges ? Does it dry quickly?
Hello c6000 better from than c4000, Which is the cheapest in terms of printing cost?
Hi. They will be very similar in printing costs. The C6000 has a larger footprint but holds 3" core label rolls. The C4000 does not hold 3" core labels but it has wireless wifi dongle option. You can use an external roll holder with C4000. There usually are a lot more options for 3" label rolls than 2" core rolls.
Hi thank u for your reply, for polypropylene label Does it come transparent?also for synthetic?
Hi Ahmad. Transparent or clear inkjet material is available but it is not popular because it is not crystal clear and leaves a foggy like appearance. We have no customers that use it.
Hello sorry for bothering you, this printer economy, i mean for label 8cm*26cm how much ink cost?
It will be best to get a local Colorworks dealer to give you an estimate on the exact label pdf as each design will have different ink coverages. To give you a broad estimate, a label that size could be about $.27 CAD Canadian dollars for ink.
Hi there, would you recommend this printer to a factory that prints between 12 to 15 thousand labels per day. In inches, I would estimate them to be more or less 3 x 2 inch and minimal blue, brown and green colour
Yes, it should be ok for those as you're ok with the speed. If you will be using larger label rolls you should consider the C6000 as it will not require an external holder which would eliminate possible alignment issues. The C4000 is meant for more introductory level printing and you have somewhat larger quantities.
Hello, please this printer can print vinyl label or pet label
Hi. As I mentioned in other comment, we have no suppliers that can put the inkjet coating on vinyl. We also have never found PET with IJ coating on rolls, though that maybe possible somewhere. We have found synthetic materials like polypropylene and polyethylene that will work. Some users also purchase a digital finisher that can add a clear laminate layer overtop the inkjet printed labels.
Hello, I would like to know how long the ink cartridges last or an approximate, for example the labels that you show in the video, how many labels come with the cartridges if you print them until the cartridge runs out, to say the East Coast label, how many come out if you finish the ink cartridge
Well, there is an ink calculation tool we use and the label size, ink coverage amounts will vary depending on each label. To give you an idea of costs in Canada and current US exchange rate (1.37), the East Coast label ink estimates per label are about $.06 CAD ($.044 USD) 4"x3", the 2" round, black cheese label $.06 CAD ($.044 USD) and the multi colored, heavy coverage Gin label is about $.159 CAD ($.12 USD)...
thank you for this very informative video, could you please tell me if these labels are scratch proof and water proof?
Hi. There are different types of materials. Depending how waterproof you need, we offer a chemical material that is very durable against moisture and chemicals. If these labels are left as is, they are not totally scratch or abrasion proof. You would need a machine that adds a clear laminate over top the label to handle abrasions.
Hello good day, I'm interested in this printer.
This printer c4000 can print vinyl label.
Waiting for your reply
Hi. No it cannot. The material must have an inkjet coating on it and we have found no supplier that offers vinyl. There are synthetic materials like polypropylene and polyethylene that will work. Some users also purchase a digital finisher that can add a clear laminate layer overtop the inkjet printed labels.
Do you have a video on how to use the auto cutter?
I don't think we do. There is a settings in the printer driver Printing Preferences, where you choose the "Settings For Paper Handling After Print" which are Cut (after printing last label) or, Cut (at specified label) or, Cut (after last page of collate page) or, Do not cut (stop at cut position) or, Do not cut (stop at the print end position).
For polypropylene label how much thickness needed?
the thickness ranges for the C4000 are 0.084mm - 0.229mm
Excellent video, do you know how do i print using mobile?
Hi. At this time, ColorWorks printers don’t have a printing app to download from Google Play or the App store. The C4000 does not support Bluetooth or AirPrint. Printing from a tablet would require the optional USB wireless adapter and an app will have to be developed with the use of Epson supplied IOS or Android SDK to create the print application/connection to the printer.
What's the typical printing cost with this printer per label with say 20% color on white gloss paper 2x4 inch size?
Hi Vishwas. I can't answer that accurately as prices will change depending on regions, availabliity etc. You should find a dealer near you if possible. Are you in Canada?
Hey bro same question i am from india “vishwas” have you purchased it ??
@@dewangdaga5384 Please find a dealer near you and they can help you with costs and estimates.
Is it possible to print in transparent paper ?
Hi Monica. Technically, there are some clear inkjet receptive label materials available but they are not common. We have not had anyone use them yet because of the inkjet coating, they are a bit cloudy and not crystal clear. That is, they don't look that great 😕
Can you print on paper that is not sticky?
Yes, you probably can, though, the material must have a proper inkjet coating to work properly.
Hello Neumann team, can I used this printer to print labels for out door used, can resist weather, ?
It is not advised Danny. We do offer a chemical material that will hold up to moisture and chemicals but the UV will be an issue. I would recommend a Thermal Transfer printer for outdoor use. If you really need full color, than you could use inkjet labels but then they would need a clear UV over laminate.
Hi, I have question for WiFi printing using WiFi Dongle. The WiFi Dongle supports AirPrint for iOS devices? OR only option is to print via DirectPrint?
Printing from a tablet would require the optional USB wireless adapter for the C4000 and the use of the Epson supplied IOS or Android SDK to create the print application/connection to the printer. At this point ColorWorks printers don’t have a printing app to download from Google Play or the App store.
The C4000 does not support Bluetooth or AirPrint.
A request for the SDK requires that the customer complete and sign a Software License Agreement and any development using the SDK would need to be completed by the customer or their contractor.
Can you print on clear labels ?
Apparently, yes there is inkjet material that is clear, though we do not have anyone using it because it is not crystal clear and it has a somewhat cloudy look.
How is tmc 3400 print quality and this one compare?
Hi. The 3400 max is 360 dpi x 180 dpi, while the C4000 max quality is 1200 x 1200
Will it print on two and a quarter thermal paper
Hi Mike. I don't think it will. Color inkjet printers require material that have an ink receptive coating.
Is there a cost breakdown on the ink to print, maybe cost per square inch or something?
You will have to contact a CW dealer near you for that. There is a tool that we can use to calculate each PDF design. Where are you located Mike?

Will this printer be able to print washi tape designs? 🤔
I am not familiar with that, but after a quick look, I don't think so. The label material must have an inkjet coating and it has a back liner paper, so tape couldn't work.
hi there! I need a printer that can withstand alcohol and oil, as we have a small skincare company. will the ink withstand something like this? thank you!
Yes, you can probably use a synthetic or a chemical material. Where are you located Jennifer?
Hello. It is possibile to is it to trigger label printing with a button? For eg: I have 100 labels to print. I want to print one at a time, not all at once, and call each subsequent one by pressing a button.
Hmm. I'm not sure about that. It will be best to ask EPSON tech support that question...here is the USA link epson.com/colorworks-color-label-printers-support?pg=2#:~:text=To%20contact%20Epson%20America%2C%20you,%2D800%2D463%2D7766.
Can I print in greaseproof material label?
Hi. I'm not sure what you mean by greaseproof material, but there are synthetic Inkjet labels for chemical resistance. You will have to contact your local label supplier for more info. Where are you located?
Good day, sir. Good info
What about transparent materials
I believe it may work, but it would have to have black lines for the sensor to read.
Thanks Nice review
Thanks for watching!
Hi, there are some products that does not have liner, is it possible to print this product on this printer?
Hmm, I don't think so Maria. Do you have a link you can share of the type of material you're talking about?
can you alos prient care label/satin label?
Hi. I'm not sure I understand your question. If you mean Satin finish labels, then, probably yes. We don't offer them buy you can ask your local label supplier and make sure to ask for Inkjet Coated labels for the Colorworks label printer.
can you print full bleed on die cut labels with matrix removed or do you have to have the matrix to absorb ink beyond cut?
Good question Julie. Yes, you can do full bleed with matrix removed. Just keep in mind that that the little bit of ink that prints over onto the liner paper will not adhere. So, that line of ink can get on your fingers, rewinder or applicator equipment rollers. We have clients who do this but if possible, leaving the matrix on solves that issue. Where are you located Julie?
HOW TO PRINT ON CIRCLE LABELS?
Yes, you can. Please watch this video and tell us if it helps you. It is for the C6000 but it will be the same idea. ua-cam.com/video/UJ9y7xj8IP0/v-deo.htmlsi=TAAC6SCmyKRqaSMo
How does this printer compare with the afinia l502
Afinia uses a dye ink vs EPSON has pigment ink. I prefer the water and scratch resistance of the the pigment ink. I also find the EPSON to have a better user experience with less hiccups. I have used the L801 and all the EPSON CW machines.
The Afinia L502 Duo is able to print Dye and Pigment. There is a separate print head assembly for each that is easily swapped over. The L502 also can print up to 8.5" wide and includes a 3" core unwinder. A 3" core holder is additional for the C4000 but not expensive. The print quality is pretty comparable for each. The are both fine printers in their own way. Where are you located?
@Neumann Marking Solutions thank you for your reply, I'm located in Orlando Florida. I seem to be leaning towards the L502
Ok you can call 1.888.215.3966 or email Afinia in USA here...sales@afinialabel.com They are in Minnesota. Also, please consider the Hot Swap warranty as it is good insurance if there happen to be manufacturer issues with the printer.
do you have color label papers? like blue , yellow and red.
No, I don't think you can have colored material because it must have an special coating on it to make it inkjet receptive. You have to use blank white stock with these printers.
Where are you located?
Can it print non-adhesive 'tags' for shelf edge?
Yes it can. You just have to have your label supplier quote you on the material. Where are you located James?
I heard some one printed neck tags for clothing on one
i dont have them options for printing. can anyine hellp

How many vodka labels that were in the video can be printed with one ink cartridge
Hi. We used the Colorworks ink calculator tool to get you some estimates. That vodka label design is for a 4x6 label size and estimated to use this many pages per color, per cartridge: C: 2945 M: 1064 Y: 537 K: 2683
