I am also a single senior and I completely agree! In fact, batch cooking and food prep have always been among my favorite things to do. I can be creative about it while setting up several days of organized, yummy options so I don't have to make meals from scratch multiple times a day. I keep a wide variety of staple items in my fridge, freezer and pantry that I can mix and match depending on what I'm in the mood for, and there are several items I prepare each week, such as condiments, sandwich spreads, baked goods and sprouts that I use regularly.
That’s awesome! I really do hope that your highschooler enjoys some of these new ideas. Thank you so very much, Mary- Anne for your great support from Canada🇨🇦
Oh my goodness, I was just thinking the other day I would love if you made a video like this. I have 4 kids, so very useful!!! A super budget one would be great too! Please do more of these!!
I love that you release your videos on Sundays. I do my grocery shopping for the week, and always try at least 1 of your recipes for the week! These lunch ideas are great, cuz I go back to school this week. Hope your kiddos have a great school year!
I’m happy to hear that🙌🏼 glad that Sunday works so well for you! I really hope that these lunches keep you filled up as you start back to school. Thank you so very much for the positive feedback and you have a great rest of your day💛
I love the lunch ideas. I often have no clue what I am doing for lunch for the work week and end up with a frozen burrito. Thanks for doing all the work
My sister makes a similar chicken bacon ranch wrap but replace ranch with bbq sauce. Then roll without tucking in the ends. Bake in the oven with a bit of bbq sauce spread ontop of each. Sooo good
These look great; I was just looking for some new things to eat for lunch at work, and this is perfect. Thanks, Julia; have a great rest of your weekend!

Thanks for the recipes. My mom used to make the peanut butter and chocolate candy. I make them on occasion. I have so many good memories of her learning how to cook and helping her in the kitchen. When I would come home on leave from the military, we'd make a big pot of soup, and we each added our cooking flare to it. It was delicious. I love seeing you and your daughter cooking together. I hope you are creating memories that last a lifetime.
That’s an awesome memory! I’m so happy to hear that these particular peanut butter chocolate bars bring back good memories too. Thank you so very much for sharing that and I really do hope you enjoy😊
I just made those peanut butter bars and they are cooling in the fridge now. I'm so excited to try them with my lunch this week! Love when you make recipes from your cookbook, which I am a proud owner of. ❤

Yes! Thank you for this!!! I my office is inside a big van and I am always wanting some new and creative lunches to bring to work. I made the pasta salad and it was amazing! Here is a great tip for you! Try making a pickle pasta salad! Rather using vinegar pour in pickle juice from the jar of your favorite pickles!! It's sooooo good! Works great in an oil based pasta salad as well as a mayonnaise based pasta salad!!
Thank you so much for your positive feedback and I do hope that these ideas help you with your lunches. That is a great idea! I love using pickle juice in my potato salad. It just makes it taste so extra good. I appreciate you sharing that🙌🏼🙌🏼
Hi Julia!! These look amazing! My son takes a lunch everyday and we usually just do leftovers. It’s a good way to use them up and they’re good. But he loves chicken and wraps so he would love these! I’m so excited to make these for him. Thanks Julia! Have a fantastic week! ❤️💜💚

If calorie counting is a thing for you: I've found, that I can use half the sauce/dressing i the burrito, I spread it thinly on the tortilla before adding anything else. The taste is in very bite even though you used less.
@@JuliaPacheco Very, thank you, I also bought the pdf of your cookbook :) Your recipes are great. The Sheppherds Pie as Freezer Meal is a staple in our house now ;)
@juliapacheco 8:57 you can cook your potatoes in the pressure cooker at the same time with the eggs-it will save you so much time and effort!! And you won’t have to wash an extra stove pot anymore lol. I’ve seen IP egg-potato prep done all different ways in various videos, but personally, my preferred method is whole unpeeled russet potatoes in a single layer at the bottom of the inner pot along with 1 to 1 1/2 cups water (if you really want to kick the flavor up a notch, use a can of broth as the IP liquid instead! You can also add some garlic in the liquid, if you like. The pressure forces the flavor of the liquid into the potatoes and if it’s not just plain water, it’s extra delicious.) Then I put a little metal round rack on top of the potatoes (it’s ok if it rests on the potatoes, it’s just to create a level flat surface). Then I take a small “IP safe” dish (I use a mini pyrex glass baking dish) and spray it with cooking oil spray. I crack open a few eggs into the small oiled dish, you can put salt and pepper on the eggs if you want but don’t stir it. I cover the little dish of eggs with foil, then place it on top of the rack on the potatoes. Make sure it’s not taller than the max level line for IP ingredients, for safety. Put the lid on, close the vent, and set for 7 minutes manual high pressure. When the cook time is finished and it beeps, I open the vent for a quick release of the pressure. Regardless of how long it takes to vent completely, I let the lid stay closed for a total of 12 minutes (5 minutes after the 7 minute cook time ends). For example after the 7 minute cook time, if the pressure is totally gone after only 3 minutes, instead of opening immediately I keep the lid closed an additional 2 minutes before I check on it. If my potatoes were extra large I might even wait an extra 2-3 minutes just to make sure they cooked all the way lol. When I open the lid, I carefully take out the little dish with eggs and set it aside. I take out the rack. I set the potatoes out on a kitchen towel to cool for a few minutes. While they are cooling, I get my potato salad mixing bowl out and uncover the eggs in the little dish. I swipe a knife around the edge real quick then run the knife quickly through the eggs vertically and also horizontally, then scoop out the cut egg pieces into the mixing bowl. Then I get out the rest of my ingredients. By then usually the potatoes are cool enough to handle. I use the knife to cut them in half, slice through the half potato (like when you slice up an avocado while it’s still in the skin) to make large potato cubes, then I dump the potato cubes into the mixing bowl while pinching off the potato skin (or use a spoon to scoop it out of the skin into the bowl). Add the rest of your ingredients, mix it up, chill in the fridge until serving, and voila! Delicious and easy IP Potato Salad. 🥳
I have been making very similar wraps for dinner during the heatwave and they're amazing, especially during the heatwave. I just put the chicken into the air fryer.
Definitely great idea for dinner too. They’re filling and will not heat the House up. Thank you so much for sharing that and I hope that you can stay cool😊

Yep, recipes are just ideas and, you can adjust them accordingly what works best for you, there are so, many different kind of foods to do that, for whatever you need to do so! Even regular peanut butter has a reduced fat option, even now they have chocolate chips come with a zero sugar option now, it’s not that complicated as one may think. 11:19
I recently purchased a Dash Egg Cooker from Amazon. Mine cooks up to six eggs but they also have one that cooks up to 12 eggs. I find it so much more convenient than pulling out my Instant Pot and it’s great to have some boiled eggs in the fridge to have on hand for adding to lunch, salads or just a quick breakfast or lunch by themselves.
Wow! Thank you so very much for sharing that great tip about your egg cooker, Julia! That does sound like a wonderful gadget to have. Thank you so much and have a great rest of your day💜

I made the peanut butter bars for my family a week after I got your cook book. A quick favorite. They ask for them regularly. Have a wonderful week ❌️ ⭕️
Hi Julia! We started school here last week in scorching hot temps. These recipes look and sound delicious. I will be making enough for my lunch, too. I can't wait to try the peanut butter bars, but I don't think they'll last long in my refrigerator. I hope you and your family have a great week!
They probably won’t! Ha ha. They are super tasty. I hope you and your kids enjoy these meals and that they add a little bit of variety to your day. Thanks so much my friend and I hope you have a great week💜
Made the peanut butter bars today but a little “healthier” bc knowing my kids they will eat that and skip their real food 🤣 I did one stick of butter so half cup And then skipped the powder sugar and added a little honey for sweetener I also added a layer of broken pretztfor extra crunch! It was still so tasty and not so overly sweet since it didn’t have all the powder sugar in it Thanks Julia for always having such easy and fun recipes ❤️
Wow! What a great idea. Thank you so very much for sharing what you did and I really do appreciate your positive feedback. Have a wonderful rest of your week💜💜

Hi Julia! We started school here last week in scorching hot temps. These recipes look and sound delicious. I will be making enough for my lunch, too. I can't wait to try the peanut butter bars, but I don't think they'll last long in my refrigerator. I hope you and your family have a great week!

Oh my gosh !!! I have to make that potato salad !! Thank you !
You absolutely do! I sure hope you enjoy it, Alice💜💜
Made the peanut butter bars today but a little “healthier” bc knowing my kids they will eat that and skip their real food 🤣
I did one stick of butter so half cup
And then skipped the powder sugar and added a little honey for sweetener
I also added a layer of broken pretztfor extra crunch!
It was still so tasty and not so overly sweet since it didn’t have all the powder sugar in it
Thanks Julia for always having such easy and fun recipes ❤️
