interesting.... but it is a Japanese song.... and NCT is the most western group in the company... actually they are international group....they signed capitol in US.... and also promoted in US...
No this one IS their Japanese album. Made especially to Japan market, you can hear that in the whole album. And it performed really2 well in Japan, like the album sales, the chart, and everything. That’s why it’s really highly Japan-influenced.
NCT is from the same agency as EXO, SM Entertainment, and I don’t think they’re Japan influenced. In fact they have many western influence too, it’s just YG is heavily hiphop (but I do get what u mean, both company have unique sounds, different directions, and it’s very well known among kpop listeners, like we can always tell which one from SM and which one from YG).
But in SM, i can say that NCT is the most hip hop group. Black music mostly cuz they buy songs from some of the most amazing black producer. You can check out more of their Korean songs. I’d suggest : 90s Love, Make A Wish, From Home, 7th Sense, Kick It, Regular, We Go Up, Take Off, Hot Sauce (spanish influenced).
Actually most of NCT songs have like 2-3 mixed genres in their song. Mostly hard hitting hiphop, chant + edm + they slow it down so sudden in smooth R&B on the bridge. Not necessarily super western tho.

hey, obviously they sound fluent in Japanese because this is a comeback song for a Japanese album, besides the Korean agency, SM Entertainment, the same agency as EXO, they also have contracts with Japanese and US agencies, from 23 NCT members in total, only 9 people those who are required to join the military service in South Korea, the rest they do not participate because they come from abroad, and even they usually speak 7 languages

Ironic that you don't think they sound very "western" when they've taken a lot of heat for being geared heavily for a more western audience. They're also criticized constantly for being "noise music"... as metal heads, I'm sure you can relate. 😉 They are not your average boygroup, their title tracks are often on the experimental side and very rarely follow what's trending. Take the very first NCT debut called The 7th Sense... it was WILDLY different from anything out their.

Short version of NCT system - they currently have 23 members that are typically split into units - currently there are three static units NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV (Chinese unit)... and then a fourth called NCT U, which is a rotational unit that can have any number/combination of members for any given project. To date they have only performed as a whole twice (NCT 2018 - Black On Black & NCT 2020 - Resonance).
Rumor has it that there is a Japanese unit on the horizon and apparently a US competition show produced by Mark Burnett (Survivor, The Apprentice, Shark Tank, etc) is happening in order to find a member (or members) for a unit currently (stupidly) titled NCT Hollywood.

不只不了解KPOP，連JPOP都不了解，建議去看一下J家不用以前最近新團的歌就好。雖然是樂手，但感覺近30年亞洲各國主流音樂種類都不知道？
SM買歐美尤其歐洲作曲家的作品很久了，連美國人都覺得少見的曲風，早就跳脫美國或日本的POP樂，日本單曲是為了配合日風才軟一點，但這首也根本不是JPOP。
另外你們的哏都不太好笑，不知道講完自己笑是怎樣。

雖然他們是SM公司, 但127是127, EXO是EXO~ 作為家族飯~ 我是真的看不出那裡像了, 其實EXO 是偏向VOCAL, NCT 127 是偏向RAP, 他們是兩個完全不同方向。 更加不像JOHNNY'S 吧~ 你看過J家唱這麼HARDCORE 的歌嗎~ 不是我的偏見, 但J 家很少挑戰強硬的風格, 而且舞蹈風格是完全兩樣。感覺你們其實不太了解~
