Malibu lights are a great addition for the garden. I add a lot more compost when double digging. I add it to the lower foot as well to help break up heavy clay.

Thank you for your daily videos. They are wonderful for some of us that crave your venue. I did put some seeds in soil and under grow lights in my laundry room. I’m 83 this year, I wonder as I find more and more tightened muscles that don’t want to work, how will this garden go this year. My son is still caring for my small flock of chickens. He doesn’t want me walking ( or stumbling) down the hill through the icy snow drifts of Minnesota winters. I used to do it, up ti maybe about three years ago. I watch from a window now on days when the snow has gone and he lets them out for awhile, they do not have a fenced area. We plan( actually he) will be putting up fencing this year. The predators finally found our yard. Lost a lot to them last year. Oh my I’ve been rambling, I can’t thank you folks enough as I watch and dream of my years with kids, gardening,canning,and just living it like you now. You are precious to me.

Your daily chores reminded me when I was young when I had a chance to visit our farm every week. I always remember how hungry I got after working(playing) in the fields from sun up to sun down. Feeding the farm animals was especially enjoyable when they gobbled up everything I gave them. Love those lights in the yard. If you want to try it in one area putting a thick tarp or sheets of covering on your garden bed during the off season. I think part of the problem is the rain that compacts your soil. Just a guess.

I have loved your daily videos! You have become my favorites on UA-cam! I grew up in California and now live in north Georgia! I live with my daughter and her family on almost 8 acres. My daughter and her husband make a garden each year. We can and freeze our vegetables. My 15 yr old grandson has chickens and sells his eggs that we don’t eat and freeze. We eat deer my son-in-law kills during the deer season,they also buy half a hog and half a beef too! You guys Rock!!!!!!

Love seeing you all everyday. If it's hard 3x a week is cool. Watching you do that plot by hand ( oh my aching back). Wish we lived not so far away we have a six foot rototiller and yes we have clay soil here in the Adirondacks. Also makes getting hay hard if it rains alot. Buggy sweet potato yes 😃. Yay! More videos! You guys have kept me so motivated and just reignited all my spring time passion this month. I made my first bread ever and have a sourdough starter now. Everyone's getting spoiled. We're working on plans for meat chicks and started assembling supplies! Plus we took down a tree to make more space for gardens. Thanks guys!

They make tillers that are just surface layer. So you can till the weeds but not destroy as much of the soil structure.

I love the near-daily, duh, but filming daily to release 3 or 4 times a week might make it less stressful.
Although like most of the comments crew will tell you I'm sure, I don't care what you share garden, fix a truck, make dinner, play guitar and watch the stars I will watch because Y'all are my favorite UA-cam channel. I watch probably 20 Joel Salatin Polyface farm acolytes so you are in excellent company.

I love watching your videos. You're doing what my husband and I want to do very soon and watching you build your homestead gives me hope for building ours. For the frequency of the videos, I think anything you're able to put up is great, so long as you be sure you don't get burned out. Do something different from time to time, just to switch it up for yourselves. We'll enjoy whatever you show us! :)
