Fewer teenage pregnancies in Laos | Swiss Red Cross

Laos has the highest number of teenage pregnancies in the whole of South East Asia. Without education, girls are at risk of dropping out of school early, becoming mothers at an early age and working in the fields. The Red Cross is therefore training ambassadors to educate other young women about the risks and help them to break out of traditional patterns.
