Could you please explain why did you use capacitors and why is there a delay before the buzzer beeps?
how would you change distance between the HC SR4 and the obstacle?

But instead, I would like to turn this HCSR04 module into a microphone that is very sensitive to noise changes and be able to detect who is whispering at night since I have neighbors who live respectively adjacent to my house. Sir, the diagram shows 10 microfarad capacitor across pins 1 & 8, but in the video you use 100 microfarad across the 2 pins. Also, if you are generating pulses (555 as an astable multivibrator, then you have not connected any capacitor between pin 2,6 & ground. Also if you use a preset directly between pins 7 & 8, you can blow out the IC when the preset value is set to zero ohms. Please show the correct circuit.

(1.) Hi, there.
(2.) Very new to electronics.
(3.) As mentioned in a post from Chetan Anam, the circuit diagram shows the 10uF 63v capacitor matching NEG and POS to 555 pins 1 and 8, respectively, and then the POS and NEG for the 100uF 63v capacitor tying into the buzzer POS and buzzer NEG. These two capacitor assignments/locations get switched in the video, so wondering which is correct.
(4.) Regarding the two front legs of the skeleton potentiometer/variable resistor/pre-set, is it the front-left or the front-right leg that gets connected to 555 pin 8?
[ It appears that the rear wiper leg connects to 555 pin 7. ]
(5.) Also, could you add a video or photo that shows the connections on a breadboard?
[ Still learning which components should be connected, and where to connect those items, when trying to decipher a circuit diagram. ]

Why are you using capacitors in crircut,(plz reply)
Buzzer capacitor is to filter the current and the 555 timer capacitor is for generating the desire frequency... Frequency of the circuit depends on the capacitor and resistors.
You need to generate specific frequency to trigger the ultrasonic sensor

How do I keep from hearing the pulse. I hear the pulse through the speaker and then the buzz when an object is placed in front. Also can the range be 8 feet?

You can remove the buzzer and replace it with motor... But make sure your input source can drive the motor connected

Yes of course
Using this circuit you can't use a pump. You have to use an additional transistor or mosfet or relay module with it. My opinion go for Arduino for better result.
Can we use 100uf 50v capacitor?
You need a lower value capacitor in the circuit.

Nah... You can't.... Even if you're able to use.. The circuit will be different.....

Of course... If you're getting the output of 5v in the buzzer terminal...
If you get less than 5v... I suggest you increase the input voltage higher than 5 volt... Your timer won't go bad or misbehave because it can operate from 4.5 to 12 v

@@technoreview85 How did you calculate your component values? That way one could extend the range of the device.
@@bbnCRLB range is nothing but the intensity of sound.... So you you give more power supply... The ultrasound will be louder traveling more distance....
You could do that way... Or you can do the math and calculate the speed of sound coming back and set it's echo to trigger at desire range
