To those fools flappin about the noise, try reading the vid description, it is the ALTERNATOR making the noise. If you watch to the end you will see the noise had been rectified once the cam break in was complete, and don't try and tell me i don't know what i'm doing, i am a qualified mechanic and built countless flat tappet engines and never once had a camshaft break in failure in over 20 years of bolting engines together.

What Howard's cam are u using? I'm thinking about one for my 318..
It is a mid spec howards rattler. Very close specs to a hughes whiplash
How does it run? i have a 318 in my '62 with trick flows and a performer RPM but haven't fired it up yet.. Roller cam version though.
Runs like scolded cat, check other vids of it driving.
Are those red rockers the cheap eBay type? If so, how are they going?
They needed alot of massaging and going over to make right, but so far i have beat hard on them and they have held up well.
Broke cam in with both springs?
