You cannot detain / handcuff a person 'just to investigate further'. You're either arresting detaining under specific legislation, or they're free to go and you can't cuff them. I don't know why some colleagues try to create magical ''common law'' arrest powers.where none exist." "I am in a role where I review incidents regularly and this is becoming more and more common practice. If someone feels there is a specific power I would be interested to hear this, because PACE is very specific on the only detention powers being arrest" "There is categorically no power to handcuff someone while police "figure it out". "You cannot use handcuffs to prevent an offence on its own, because as soon as you handcuff someone they are then physically detained, and to detain a person an officer must have the intention to arrest them...this is the point. S3 doesn't give a right to detain. If someone has a punch ready to go, or a bat drawn back ready to hit someone, you're going to restrain and handcuff them, but you're doing it to arrest them for the offence. Otherwise we could walk down the street and handcuff someone and say I thought they were going round commit a crime so I handcuffed them to ascertain they weren't..." One cop warns against it saying: "The problem is, if someone isn't being told they are under arrest, and cautioned with necessity then the arrest is not lawful and the person does not understand what is happening to them. "

You know they’re scouring the area looking for your vehicle 😂😂😂
That was an interesting statement from the the lady "third of the Countries supply comes from here" ... Not Russia then?!
I am not sure if you have one already but I am guessing probably not, but I would suggest a wind sock of some sort for the microphone. You may have seen them on microphones are concerts and speaking events. A wind sock or whatever it is called may cut down on a lot of the wind sound. Stay being you. Thank you for your content.
I understand the response team have a duty of care, but if they just put in a little bit more effort with their approach to finding out information they may be able to get more of a positive interaction with people.
👍👍 from across the Pond……👍✌️❤️
The police got there quick.
Which is reassuring.
For a photographer of a site with security guards, see how long they took in Nottingham for terrorist
3513 has for one of those Scottish accents that's turned English due to years living down there.
💕 you AB.
Another couple of mugs well done AB 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
MOD police are usually well informed and friendly, even at 1 AM with drone fliers, but please ,stop asking for ID, it's a confidence trick, the police should not even be allowed to TRICK YOU. this practice of "i've told you mine so you can tell me yours" needs to stop. it's DISHONEST.
"trick" us?
Buddy they're asking a simple question, people know their rights, they're not gonna "trick" anybody lol
They're allowed to ask, as we are
@@AZ-vp7xithey are trained to deceive the public , it's obvious
@@AZ-vp7xibut most people don’t know their rights. Most people would do whatever a police officer told them to do. Wayne Couzins relied on that.
@@AZ-vp7xiExactly what the other guy said. Give up you bootlicking sheep. Your defences are pathetic.
@@AZ-vp7xiThey can ask, no one said they can’t. It’s how they do, to an average layman anything a copper tells you would seem like an obligatory order. They should tell you straight up in situations where it’s not required by law to give ID that it isn’t but if you want to, then you can. But they rarely ever say that. Many even outright lie or display their ignorance by insisting you HAVE to give ID when it’s a voluntary stop.
had same here while having picnic in field entrance in this area.very persistant and came twice.was before i new my rights
I drive past here most mornings... AB, if i had seen the police and a chap with a phone recording I would have put 2 and 2 together and went and got you a coffee 😂
You should visit Buncefield Oil Terminal in Hemel Hempstead AB!
Aaahaha, thats where all our money goes, from OUR natural resources, our gas from our land, go AB, 😂
I laugh so much watching his videos he makes my day 😂 thanks AB. Please come to Ireland
Do the police in the UK EVER learn? Or are they just mostly on a crazy perceived power trip?
The latter.
Yes and no. Most of them have no internal dialogue and just follow orders. They are told what to think, so they don't think at all.
😂 you should've said you're working on behalf of Esso 😂😂 great video AB this one made me laugh
I whatch you from aus and i like what you do
Nice to see Corporal Jones putting in an appearance at the end.
A good thing MOD police isn't as good as the MET in conducting strip searches!
