Enjoyed the good teaching video. You always do a great job. I like your pressure canner, I’m thinking about getting a new one as mine is 42 years old. It’s still good and I’m sorta attached to it. Lots of good canning memories with it , but it might be time to move on. Now I’ll just go get me some carrots to can , (haven’t canned any this year) and then move on to sweet potatoes. Well you just wanted a comment not a letter !
Hello and thank you for your channel, which I just discovered. I don’t typically comment but just had to let you know how much I love your videos. I am a newbie and haven’t canned anything yet, but recently purchased a canner. Your kind and down-home manner has encouraged me to take the leap! Thank you so much for your channel and love for us your audience. May God continue to bless you.
@@mariedoe3617 What kind and sincere comments. I do love my audience. You might watch my "Pressure Canning for Beginners" as it hopefully has tips to give everyone the courage to... roll up their sleeves and get to canning!
@@nancyhartlage8626 Since they are a low acid food it's not reccomended to water bath them. They might could be pickled using vinegar but I haven't done it.
@@AtHomewithMrsJoan I have a new pressure canner that I got last summer, not real comfortable with it yet. I may have to bring it out and re-read the directions!
I am a newbie and absolutely love and learn from your videos. You are so friendly it is like we have been friends forever. I would like to know how you use your dry canned beans when you go to eat them?❤
@@patcampbell3585 We eat any of them as a simple side dish with cornbread. We grew up with beans and cornbread several nights a week. I also use pintos & black beans in Taco Soup. The navy or northern beans go in my white bean chicken chili. I use pintos in my regular hamburger chili, but our favorite is pork n beans in this kind of chili. Pintos make quick refried beans and black beans are a staple in Mexican dishes. Love having home canned beans in my pantry!
Im relatively new to canning. So grateful that I found you! Question...can we can mirepioux with carrots, celery & onions & some seasoning as a soup base? Thank you!
Carrots were the first thing I learned to can. They are so good.
Absolutely!

I have my mother-in-law's 1970 Mirror canner and it works great. I use it when I do two canners at a time.
How fun!!!! My spirit was instantly lifted while watching your video…. Thank you!!

@@kimhetelle9524 I've seen some people canning it on UA-cam but can't say I've tried it myself.
Can I use frozen? Just like the other frozen vegetables? And process the same way??
@@hopechavis9071 Yes you can. Good question. But research your processing times.
