I find that when I run bad it motivates me to study and improve my game. You could say running bad is the best edge over my opponents I could hope for.
I absolutely hate how this ends haha I thought he was about go on about players who then try and play TOO much in an attempt to make up the losses - which is a conversation I'm keen to have with a pro
I found this looking for something about running bad. It's brutal. I just moved up to 100nl after starting at 10nl after grinding my way up. The players seem worse but they can't lose right now.

If the players seem worse higher up it can sometimes be because they are better and are playing hands differently than yourself due to being aware of factors that you are not considering. This may not be the case but it is something to consider
man ive been sucked out to runner runner, 2 outerd on the river for a month straight now. i dont think i can handle it anymore. and im not some random fish i study the game i make my desitions wizly and getting it in almost 70% off the time in good shape.
@@emilemil7332 I’m finally winning again. It went on for a good while. I’ve dropped down several stakes. I was something like 12 buy ins below EV. It was ridiculous. One good thing that came out of it is I am getting more in to MTTs. Same thing happens there but the players are just so much worse. Even at higher buy ins.

I feel you. Had a quick $800 profit day in 3 hours a few days ago. Next day lost 300. Day after, I broke even. Now after a couple of days i'm on a -1000 downswing. It's insane.
I wouldn't call it "running bad". Losing hands is just apart of the game. The game is based on alot of luck. Yes, Skill is involved but people will suck out on the river, no matter what the blinds are , no matter what the skill level is.
It's funny when you end up heads up in a tournament with a maniac who goes all in with 35 off-suit and you have a 10-1 advantage. And then lose via 5 all-ins with better hands every time. After a week of losing boards with straights or better Every. Time. Especially when A-K crack on 2 rivers in two boards, it starts to feel spooky.
