Having met the New Seekers in 1973 and the new line up a couple of years' ago - it was great to meet Paul again, and it was a great show and brought back many memories. Well done - performing on the sofa like that isn't easy.
My Heart ❤️ belongs to Lyn PAUL. She's the epitome of the 1970s WOMAN an Era I've missed so much. I am now 73 years old and 1973 was a glorious year for me. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ New SEEKERS❤️❤️❤️❤️👍🇬🇧
The lady is a fine singer but the ladies from the New Seekers who did that song were Eve Graham and Lyn Paul. I'm not denouncing the lady but it should have been mentioned by somebody that her lovely voice was not on the recording. Those who remember the New Seekers from 1972 aren't fooled.
Have to admit I am impressed , she had a very good voice and just singing off the cuff like that is difficult so they are truly professional in my view !
Thank you for your comment TheZ1A900. Donna is a supremely talented singer and along with her NS success was number 1 in Australia as Pussyfoot in the 80's. To top it all she is an absolute joy!
Yes it was a new group formed by Keith Potger of The Seekers and he actually was a member of this new group briefly. There was no actual continuation from the Seekers other than him. Loved them both.
Mick Flynn and Donna Jones came from a group called Springfield Revival which revived the sounds of The Springfields. They opened for the original New Seekers on their UK tours in 72/73. They were managed by the same organisation Gem Toby as well so there is a link there.
They need to leave the memory alone there is only one there( in the middle) that was in the group. If they are going to perform as the new seekers it should be all of them or none at all.
The presenters could have been better researched. Why didn't they quizz the group about the 40th anniversary or question them about the tour, not to mention the new album. Flipping hard work for the band. Anyway, well done TNS for coping with hopeless interviewers.
Only one member needed to be there as Paul Layton was the only member of the original new seekers and everything that was talked about was the old new seekers if you get my drift felt a bit embarrassed for the 2 other members
Oh Dear - shame that only the bass player from this line up was in the original group - it shows - they'd have never had the success they did with these singers - let's hear a bit more of Lyn Paul and Eve Graham!!!!!!!
in your opinion but I can assure you not everybody's. Eve was wonderful but many others have been too. Sorry that you haven't been able to enjoy other line ups.
these are not THE NEW SEEKERS. ONly ONE THERE FROM ORIGINAL BAND IS PAUL LAYTON (WITH GLASSES). THAT GIRL NEVER SANG ON ANY OF THE ORIGINAL SONGS, AND TO PLAY A VIDEO SHOWING THE REAL FEMALE SINGERS OF THE GROUP EVE GRAHAM LEAD VOCAL AND LYN PAUL, AND THIS GIRL TAKING A BOW FOR IT AS IF SHE WAS SINGING IS PRETTY SAD..... TV PROD. SHOULD HAVE RESEARCHED THIS BETTER IT - IT EMBARRSING

well aware of the original Helen. That was recorded in a studio by a lady in her thirties, this was live TV at 9 am for goodness sake performed by someone in their sixties! No point making such a daft comparison!
Errr this should be titled the one remaining new seeker who as far as contributing talent did nothing for the group . I know this was ten years ago but come on!!... really?
Ugh, I hate the Coke song. Beg, Steal or Borrow, I get a little Sentimental, You won’t find another fool like Me blow that song away. It’s not The New Seekers without Lyn Paul
it comes down to what and who we want to accept in life. If you can't get beyond 1974 then so be it. The past may have been great at the time but hot news honey...we move on!!
They are southern British. I thought they were from the U.S. Why were they singing in that North American accent.? 03:20, She's doing it again. 😳 Rediculous. 😡
Always loved this song and the new seekers
are you on the group's Facebook site? New Seekers Official
The New Seekers have a great legacy. 😊 wonderful harmony group. 😚
They did but not these lot who are no more than a tribute act.

Beautiful music....Beautiful memories .
2020: Made me happy again after 49 years seeing the Coke add in 1971, the buying the single, loved this group - good times of the 1970’s.

Terrible version
You are right but many many who know no different are fooled.😀
Lyn Paul made the group
Lyn Paul was a babe .. the Manchester girl did good !
Sorry, but the voice that made famous the song was Eve
+Angélica Martínez you are so right, well done. However line up's change and continue with success. Thank you for watching though.
This shows that The New Seekers no longer exist. I'm following Eve Graham!
Great performance. Thanks.
Brings Tears 😢 to my eyes because of the Happy Memories of Halcyon Days NEVER to return 🇬🇧 🌹.
Why don't we have Songs like this, today? Why ?
❤️👍🇬🇧🌹
Great video, thank's for posting the video.
Could you imagine abba with agnetha.or Anni frid substitutes ...?
Enough said
Bloody excellent.
Paul Leyton wrote Ride a Horse, b side of I Get a litte sentimental over you...i love that song!
Love Get a little sentimental. Put on report when I’m at work.

Especially at 9am
"It started out as The Seekers, didn't it ?". No. Susanna Reid hasn't got any better, has she ?
didnt do her homework! how embarrassing!
Even worse now. Turns into a Rottweiler in some interviews.
New Seekers? Considering the people sat on the sofa, It may as well have been the cast from Magpie.
Apart from Paul Layton this version of the New Seekers sounds like a tribute act without the lovely vocals and harmonies of Eve Graham and Lyn Paul
That is exactly what they are and are like many similar groups around with 'only one original member' from their so called 'hey day,.
This is interesting . I always wondered how the new seekers formed from the Seekers with all different members.
Yes it was a new group formed by Keith Potger of The Seekers and he actually was a member of this new group briefly. There was no actual continuation from the Seekers other than him. Loved them both.

Mick Flynn was also the lead vocalist for the Mixtures, famous for the Pushbike Song
Why didn't they even mention the former members?
Woooooo Nelly... does it matter it's just nice to hear the songs because once it's finished it's finished
Mick Flynn was lead vocalist with the Mixtures who had a big hit with the Pushbike Song
The guy in the middle is the only band member. Poor New Seekers!
They need to leave the memory alone there is only one there( in the middle) that was in the group. If they are going to perform as the new seekers it should be all of them or none at all.

Where are Lyn Paul and Eve Graham?
Lyn doesn't need this poor band 😂
Paul Layton has hardly changed since '73. I wonder if Marty Kristian still looks the same - those two looked like brothers. :)
💜👍💜👍
Sorry, but there is no New Seekers without lovely Eve, Lyn and of course Peter Doyle
Pete Doyle was a Great Singer

Paul Layton, yes, but no Eve, Lyn, Marty (I know Pete Doyle’s no longer with us).

The band evolved over the years like many do in Rock and pop. You've got a dreadful attitude.
Too much of these 'tribute' acts making money from a name of groups from years gone by.
