I served with the HM-14 "Vanguard". Very nice weathering techniques. The #1 engine cowling being a different color is spot on. That light grey is used by the Marine Corp and since they have most of the 53's they are sent to Navy squadrons that way until they can be painted. A very dirty aircraft because of the amount of grease and fluids (hydraulic/oil) that is located near the top that percolates into the cabin and outside skin. Loved that thing though. It is an impressive piece of machinery.
Hello, Enjoyed your video. I am just getting into weathering. Question please: after applying the weathering pigments did you say you have to "seal" it with lacquer? Can I do this without an air brush? Thank you
