"The warranty start date shown for any product in a Fanatec account is based on the shipping date of the order. This means if the customer purchases a pre-order item, the purchase date has no bearing on the start of the warranty coverage. If the customer requires support towards the end of the warranty period, we take the date of delivery into account."

I’m impressed that he cares so much about Fanatec that he didn’t sit idly by while his company gets dismantled and went fund hunting to get his company back.
Sounds like propaganda from Jackermeier. If you have so much money and the company is about to be “profitable” again, why are we here? The banks and people funding Thomas and his lavish spending had had enough. Plain and simple.
Thomas has been passionate with this company for 25years… made dirrect drive crossover accessible between pc and consoles…also one of few Sim Racing Equipment Companies to be in real MotorSports involved as well as visual presence.
The information from all the UA-camrs, there are many that had left the company before during n after - the Black Friday disaster…
I believe they were not expecting the reaction of orders, - so between the Office Missing personnel- didn’t help- and for the amount of workers?- (you need more) to fill orders.
Thomas is really putting himself out there for the belief in the community as well in what he believes in…

well he also pull out alot of money from the company and take loans on the name of Endor AG ,. bcs those 48mln he offers are from Endor AG he dont have other source of income. He also buy Vettel's toro roso car that win on monza , which is not cheap , in the same time when company was struggling. So he was not exactly the most responsible CEO. But for sure its better compare from some austrian gipsy hatch found

I really hope Fanatec get their act together. Cause I want to upgrade from my GT DD Pro (8NM) to the Clubsport DD+. I won't pull the trigger until I know for sure things are on track. There is no sense investing in a product if, in a few months down the line, there won't be any support for said product.

After 3 long and frustrating months with a defective $800 Fanatec wheelbase with only 2 generic response emails from them, PayPal has forced them to finally refund me. Never will I buy from them again! Now I need to sell the new RS Wheel with QR2 and CS V3 Pedals that I originally bought in January that I could not use due to the defective wheelbase.
The quality control and lack of customer support is a big worry for me. I hope they get serious about both very soon.
Thank you for bringing us this update! I really like that you have been on top of the whole situation and you've done, in my opinion, a very good job of staying impartial and just presenting the situation as it is. For sim racing and Fanatec fans I hope Jackermeier's bid is accepted. If for no other reason that he would remain the driving force behind the company he founded. He obviously cares about the company and its future where a bunch of money men obviously don't care about it.

it's kinda lame
Slowly phasing out my Fanatec gear. Not because I've had huge issues (CSL pedals never missed a beat, csl elite base still going strong) but needed to replace my McLaren V1 wheel as the rubber started to disintegrate. Shifters already failed on me so replaced with SRM ones. It lasted me around 4 years so can't complain but after reading up on all the issues I've gone to other companies. Sprints for the pedals and FCORE for the wheel, saving up for a DD base, probably simagic or Asetek.
Get the Alpha then.
I'd get the DD+ personally if I was buying now (I have csl dd 8nm already and happy with it) but if not Fanatec, I'd definitely get the Simagic Alpha or Alpha mini! Simagic are also very passionate about the business. Go watch the interview with Mr Wang and Simpit. That will make you wanna stand by Simagic.

I hope Jackermeier can save the company - I like Fanatec and I’m also someone who never had any issues when it comes to orders etc - maybe because I live only about 160km from their HQ… but I like their stuff, I have some wheels etc and changing to an other brand would surely be a loss for me. Like I wrote in the comments of the other video, hedgefonds only care bout profits, look at Logitech, not a hedgefond, but a big tech corporation, their direct drive wheel is totally overpriced for what it offers, the pedals are not great etc, but why should they innovate, the g29 and all its versions still sells and I think with a hedgefond coming in Fanatec would have the same destiny.

My immediate thoughts were… i tend to agree with TJ. It seems there is some shady doings going on. I agree as well that I dont feel that getting an equity company involved is a great idea (refer to my previous post). I suspect that would kill the company and dilute it. The company IS TJ’s baby and I can understand why he would want to fight to the end for it. This of course does not excuse Fanatec for their lack of creative industry growth in my opinion, their absurdly long product development and release times. TBH they have felt overpriced and stagnant. I migrated away from them over a year ago because of that. That being said if TJ wants to bring in some new blood to drive the company I think that is an excellent idea…. Sometimes new vision and perspective is essential for business growth. And TBH my first response from your previous video on this was : now is a great time to buy Fanatec stock. :)

@@_PatrickO I migrated to the MOZA platform. My CSL DD had frequent problems and I wanted to run a wheel with a display. SO I sold the CSL DD and bought the MOZA FSR and KS when it came out. I also designed and 3D printed a BMW GT3 wheel and had wanted to run it on the CSL DD.. only to find out it wouldn’t work without spending a ton more money on it. I really would have loved the Fanatec BMW wheel but the pricing was insane. That is sort of my point restarting Fanatec… they seemed to have ultra premium pricing for the same benefits of a lot of other brands. They imho priced themselves out of the market… and then began having quality and deliver problems.
570 hours on ACC during COVID, sold my Fanatec, including my rig last year, and purchased myself a Moza R5 two weeks ago.
See, told ya. All good. It sounds like there are plenty of investors lined up and willing to put cash in. This will essentially make it almost impossible for StaRUG to come into effect. Shareholders will side with TJ on this one, given the options available to them. He's also seemingly correct with the breach of duty, given that it's gotten this far. I'm glad this video is fully objective and factual.
btw hows that nascar wheel for u with the clubsport hub ? :D the shifters are sooooo bad... so bad for thatr wheel.. I endup making something with csl elite shifters, but needed to make a thread and thats to much ofg a hustle to buy a special tol so I could attach them wider aned longer shifters,,, so just not using this nascar wheel just like the dd base :D maybe someday..
It's really unfortunate, but somehow understandable. I ordered a set for myself a few days ago and still haven't received any updates. I had some questions and wanted to make changes, but there's no phone support, and they haven't responded to my emails either. So, I guess I'll have to go for an exchange, because this lack of customer service is disappointing. They initially promised to make a video for me, especially since I intended to use the hardware for sim racing. What a shame.

Why i got rid of fanatec:3 Years back. I had the brand new elite base Right before they discontinued them and the McLaren v2 wheel . Right after the warranty ended a pen broke off into the base and I paid for an RMA on both items and since I live in LA and they had a distribution center there so instead of mailing it. I just took it down myself and at first I didn't want to accept it because they said it has to go through the mail but they eventually took it since I was there. They sent back the base. It was still broken. It I would not align right so I sent it back again for an RMA again and they forced me to do it through mail for some when I can just get down there in 30 minutes myself. The wheel had 3 months of downtime It still came back broken eventually. I just sold it and moved to moza. And never look back. I've only upgraded my moza system I'm very happy
Whatever happens it needs to happen soon - the longer this mess is allowed to fester, the more damage will be done to the long term reputation and survival of Fanatec! I wonder how the meeting went down today?

That your for al the content, brings more context to all the rumors we hear around sim racing. I do have a request if at all possible, can you all look into GT Omega’s supply issues? I’ve been trying to order the GT Omega ART keyboard and mouse tray for over a year and they just continue to tell me to sign up for their push notifications. I am located in the U.S. and their Canada has had what I want but they won’t fulfill the order because of where I live.
Wasn’t this letter just a public press release from him, available to everyone?
It is a mess but we shouldn’t forget, whatever shenanigans are going on now, it was his actions that put Fanatec in this situation where people have been waiting months for delivery or can’t get hold of customer services

Five months of chaos and there is no company which can take it nowadays, there is no happy ending of this. I waited my order two months without any message from them and that was it, i changed my stuff to other manufacturer and i am sure that i was not only one.
I wonder what it will take for his proposition to go through. Hope it works out and the shareholders dont get f'd by the bigger corpos.

I’m one of those that would like to buy some shares but can’t from the States...
TJ, I love your fight. I’m sure that same fight is why many of us have so many great memories with the sport/hobby. Personally, during the last year you (sort of) lost me to other great brands like Simucube and Asetek, but it’s been more akin to me leaving home to explore the world. Trust, I am yearning for the next podium base and the next gen of wheels. Get this done so we can go back to salivating over the products versus whining like the spoiled children you created. :)

As a new sim racing fan, and currently only console (sold pc before new found hobby fml) its been hard finding what options i have to get better gear. Pay a real used car price for the G pro or “deal with fannatec” has been the only two paths ive found. I hope the company can turn around bc im very interested in moving forward on my gear.

whatever happens i want fanatec in good hands at the end of this. having companies like fanatec in a good position is good for the broader sim racing community regardless of if you buy fanatec or not. what we dont need is the company falling to those that just want to make as much profit as possible off each product.

Seems to be a bit of a train wreck at this point. I am a Fanatec customer, I have ordered and received my items and some had month delays. I am extremely skeptical of the company but the gear works well for my uses. I hope they can get things figured out sooner than later so the focus goes back to the products, business and serving the customers. What is the breakdown of the shareholders? Are they mostly individuals outside of the Thomas?

Owners versus Management. If German company law is anything like English company law - and the chances are it’s rather different - then in theory the shareholders can exercise a degree of control over the management. Whether they can replace them all is a big question.
Unfortunately, the law in Germany allows for CFOs and hedge funds, to basically steal from the share holders - in situations such as this.
The best way to sway this now, is through public speculation.
Essentially they need to realise that many customers who are still hanging on, will only hang on as long as TJ is at the reigns.
We don't need Fanatec to be more profitable, we need them to be more innovative.
They need to get back into child stages, where a company looks to make new standards.
Rather than this adult company model, which feels comfortable where its at.
Companies like simagic and Moza are a threat because their company philosophy is inline with that of a child company.
They're not looking at ways to squeeze little extra bits out of their economic system.
Trying to essentially commercialise the crap out if it. Going from a hobbyists industry, into an electronics company like logitech.
Fanatec need to decide where they are... Are they a new Thrustmaster/Logitech, or an established alternative to simagic amd moza. At the moment they feel like both, and therefore- not quite either

Very interesting. Personally anything that can preserve the company and fix their issues so they can continue to develop their ecosystem and support existing customer base I’m all for.
Do they have issues they need to fix? Yes, certainly. But I don’t see a breakup/hedge fund group really caring about doing that. They will just try to break it up and sell it off to make as much as they can out of it.
So I guess we just wait and see what happens.

This almost feels like Apple and Steve Jobs in the late 90's. Some of you probably don't remember. I kick myself every day because I kept saying to myself that Apple would turn around and I should invest some money. But I was a broke college student at the time and buying stock wasn't as easy as it is now.
I hope he gets it back just on moral grounds but it doesn't solve the issues that he was responsible for. As of now the fact is that there's just way too much internal heat for a company to focus and do what it should be doing, which is focusing on the customer. None of this is good news for the consumer right now and if i were an uninvolved customer that just wants a good product with good customer service, i would be better off looking elsewhere until this ship is fixed
My opinion: If all this is true what the current CFO of Endor and the CEO of the Hedge Fund are trying to do, then they should be called in front of court.
I do not agree how TJ managed the company before, but with this statement i really hope he wins that war against the other group...
But this happens often when some individuals start a company and the company become too big to manage for their field of competence...

Fanatec needs to worry less about marketing their name in motorsports, F1 and WRC and focus on delivering and repairing the hardwares. I've considered buying some Fanatec shares as Thomas wanted to protect the current shareholders. The problem of shoveling the current shareholders via bankruptcy under the bus and create new shares for hedge fund investors to save the company will hurt the future of the company when they go IPO again.
I just spent 4k on new gear from Moza. I was going to buy Fanatec but I will not support a company that is so willing to steal from the people who made it the company it is.
But you are willing to buy from a company that steals from other companies. Moza is no better. They are a camera gimbal company first and foremost despite the marketing lies
You act like you are something special by having this letter printed out. But this is an open letter to the banks and the supervisory board (which you are both not involved in) and, as it's a open letter, it was made available via a press release for everyone, it was not sent to you exclusively...

Having been on the receiving end of administrators, Banks and the tax man as a supplier. I do know shareholders and suppliers and customers will be bottom of the pile when it comes to administrators being in control. Either Jack saves it or it's worthless.

For the good of Fanatec Jackermeier needs to step away. The company needs to restructure with a focus on customer service and production capacity. For a number of years (even pre Covid) product availability was often poor, and after sales service was damn near non existent. I was once a loyal Fanatec customer, but it's galling when you see a company spending money on sponsorships and marketing when they fail to provide support to those already invested in the system.
Bring in the corporate razor gang, fix the company (sell it if they have to) and restore Fanatecs reputation. Bye Thomas.

@@Kireth Far too simplistic. First, there's the simple matter of responsibile governance. The Supervisory Board cannot implement the StaRUG plan unless Endor AG would face insolvency without it. Given that there are alternative proposals, the directors of the Supervisory Board would likely breach their directors' duties by attempting to push it through.

i think fanatec sucks balls and should dry up. Over priced and way too many silly options. Seems like an easy way to fail. And it looks like they did. They dropped a seat after basically going bankrupt? wtf??? What happened is other companies popped up and did better and fanatec was a wish-wash of bad website and shipping etc. fail to grow with the times

As you note, Jackermeier states in his open letter: "I myself do not intend to return to the company as a member of the Executive Board, but I will of course continue to devote all my energy outside the Executive Board to the successful further development of this company."
This is fairly ordinary for an activist shareholder, seeking to maximise the value of his shares. The banks clearly do not what him to resume in an executive capacity either.
