I think Sherpa enjoyed that train ride. Of course he enjoyed everywhere you took him as long as you were together. If you had jumped out of a plane he would be right behind you. He will never loose sight of his Dad as you know.💙

American here. Every time I saw the locomotive, I kept thinking that it looks like an American steam engine. And sure enough when I saw the number plate it said 'Baldwin made in USA.' She is a long way from home. Glad to see her all spit and polished! Also glad that you and Sherpa could have a nice day out enjoying a scenic train ride.

Love the old-school wooden seats on the train! Sherpa is such a great traveler; he reacts so calmly to the sudden start of the train and just loves lying on the exterior platform watching the lovely countryside roll past!
The morning ride was sold out.. im very glad we didn't go in that one. Sardine can comes to mind haha

@@Cindrbell Cindy, I don't know where you live, but here in Ohio we have the, Lebanon Mason Monroe Railroad. It is an old fashioned Railroad, similar to the one Sherpas on. You can find information on their website. I hope this helped. Take care my friend ❤

Oh my gosh! We rode this railway when we visited the UK back in 2000. Such beautiful scenery - we loved it. It was my favorite part of visiting Wales. Sherpa is a bona-fide rail dog now.🙂

Happy Sunday Jamie and Sherpa! What a great find! Sherpa really seemed to love sitting on the outside area watching the beautiful country side go by and I'm sure thinking "Dad ... This is soooooo much more relaxing than miles of walking!" 😂 And of course Sherpa charming the ladies, tho I think they just used him as an excuse to talk to his handsome Dad! 😜

@@timwicke2836 growing up in the Midwest, train whistles were a part of the morning soundscape, there was always one off in the distance. Now I'm on an island on the east coast, it's seagulls (though my first apartment was near the dinner train, a tourist attraction, so I could hear the bells as it arrived/departed)

I was out last night and saw someone buy their Shitzu an ice cream/dog biscuit treat, but feed it to her with a spoon, as the serving was too big. And thought of Sherpy
@@LindaC616 I wasn't the person you saw but as I have done so in the past, I know that using a spoon can be much less of a mess than otherwise. This may have been the reasoning used by the individual you saw.
@@elizabethconey70 Oh no, we started chatting with them. She said it was because the dog would eat the whole thing, but since she's only 9 lbs, it was too much... and they knew if she ate the whole amount, it would make her throw up. It was terribly cute to watch. Of course, the woman had trouble trying to finish her own ice cream and then finish the dog's. with those little eyes and Jedi mind tricks being practiced on her 😄

Those beautiful eyes when he was sitting and looking up at you, so full of love… I know when my pups do that it just makes my heart feel so full of love for them, these 4 footed blessings from God are the best!!!!
I have been following yours and Sherpas adventures for some months, what pleasure. Sadly, my own beloved dog passed away some time ago, and as I now live in a flat I am unable to get another doggie companion. Hence, Sherpa gives me a chance to once again relive the joy that a dog can bring. Particularly loved this beautiful steam train ride, seeing fluffy Sherpa enjoying the view, with the breeze ruffling said fluff. Thank you for allowing us to share in your many adventures together, long may they continue. A hug to you and your gorgeous fluff buddy ❤

Longer version is so amazing. At first it looked as though you were the one having the most fun but by the end it was definitely Sherpa. The train I mentioned yesterday also does other special function rides besides the Polar Express at Christmas. It has done Thomas the Tank Engine and The Dinosaur Train. Both are based on kids shows and are for kids but I know adults enjoy them too. I don't know if they'd allow dogs to ride. The countryside is so beautiful there. Thanks for sharing this wonderful adventure with us.

I saw the short version yesterday. I'm definitely going to do this trip. It looked absolutely amazing. Sherpa is way too cute for words. Who doesn't love steam trains!? Every time I eat icecream l need a drink of water after too and you dad are so attentive and caring all the time. As he gets older, he gets more love 💓. That's the way it should be for all. I love your heart warming video's and You dad are the one .

I love train 🚂 rides in Europe. Rode the train regularly in Germany 🇩🇪 when I was stationed there and recently took one from Inverness to Glasgow in Scotland 🏴🥰👏👍👍

That was a really great trip. My grandfather worked on the railroads in the US and had lots of memorabilia from that time.
