Hope this helps some of you out there. I know a lot of people on this channel play other games or don't play fighting games at all, so thanks for your patience. I really didn't expect such a diverse audience to follow this channel, lol.
I play Smash 4 primarily, but watching SFV is so interesting. The two games share similar fundamentals; primarly with the "corner". Smash 4 pertains ledge trapping and SFV has corner pressure.
notice how he said she's one of the hardest charecters to use but she's also fun. they all still have a passion for it. they still love this. it's their dream to play video games and make money while doing it. they're still concerned about having fun. and that's what I love to hear. he's not just focused on winning constantly but he's also worried about how much fun he can have with this match or game or character.
Been binge watching all your videos and I'm really excited to compete in my first EVO this year. You deserve more subscribers in my opinion. Keep up the great work :)
I don't even play street fighter, but I can recognise a skilled pro gamer when I see one. Just watching the speed and dexterity with which he hits his buttons is spectacular to watch and listen to. Even I, someone who's only ever played Tekken games found this incredibly informative and entertaining to watch. Great content!
Oh absolutely, I agree. It's the same with any Esport. Hit a certain point and you're hitting buttons lighting fast. What distinguishes players are their styles and thought processes.
Great video. Even tho I don't play a lot of fighting games and a lot of the things said in the video went over my head, the video sure was interesting. This kind of complexity makes me wanna play a fighting. I probably would.
Hey Core-A, I absolutely love these guides, your channel and ma boi Infiltration. I just want to give some input on something that might make a big difference for new players or perhaps even more pervasively, players who are watching this when they arn't in front of their monitor. I really feel that between each section of moves, kicks, punches, fireball's, AA's, EX's, combos, CA and Vskill/trigger, it would go a long way to add a quicknotes slide before moving onto the next section. Infiltration talks fast and while we can pause at any moment, I think it would help quite a bit to just have 5 or so BIG POINTS for each section. Your videos are awesome and I know I'm asking more effort out of someone who already spends hours and hours making awesome content but as someone who is in their first year of SF I am trying to absorb as much as possible when I'm not playing. I think that extra hour would help alot of players walk away with a better idea of the meat of Infiltrations advice. EDIT for weird english
thank you now i can improve more with ibuki, i have started with street fighter 5 a few months ago and i find myself playing online matches more and more,i wanted to learn a more difficult character to play so i choose ibuki still i am a bit basic with her. but thanks to your guide i will improve more fast now. thanks :D
At 28:33 combo you have to do a very slight delay before throwing EX Kunai. Too bad he didn't thought worth mentioning it, I wasted several days trying to figure out why this combo is so inconsistent...
If you watch 0:32 at 0.25 speed, you can see that the sponsor monitor was edited in as it's missing in the first frame. Unbelievable, either edit it in well, or be honest!

However, the video/information is moving quite fast for me and i find that i have to keep pausing and rewinding back CONSTANTLY in order to understand, as i have to watch AND read the subtitles. Maybe it is just me lol. So maybe in future similar videos/tutorials, can you please slow down somehow to make it easier to follow. Once again, thanks for the video 'Infiltration' and good luck on your future tournaments bro!!! :D
Ibuki has been a favorite of mine since 3rd Strike. I liked her in IV...but migrated towards Makoto instead. She's back in V and better than ever. She's difficult to play and requires a shit ton of control...or else you'll literally and figuratively land yourself in trouble.
What about her V-Trigger II? I personally think it's great since it comes back and its possible to combo it into standard lp+mp+hp+dp and back into the fuma shuriken.
josevh75 I watch ANTi (a Smash 4 player, who beat LowTierGod) streams occasionally and when watching his Ken, I find Smash 4 and SFV to share similar fundamentals - w/ the idea of a corner in SFV, and in Smash 4 there is ledgetrapping (with frametraps, anticipation, timings, spacing, coverage, option select, etc)
Hey Core-A Gaming can you do a video about what controller mods in fighting games you think should or should not be legal? This is in reference to the smashbox vs BOXX controversy in the super smash bros scene, along with armada having to drop out of melee single for dreamhack austin because his controller wasn't malfunctioning properly. (yes, you read that right)
Street fighter looks so interesting. I wanna play it but don't know what character to play, but I like heavies in smash if that helps. Who are the heavies in sf5?
Waddlez depends more actually like if u like throws or grabs then alex or zangief (Rainbow Mika is kinda like ness a good grab game but still fast) or if you want characters who do massive damage then Balrog
Balrog and Gief are high tiers in season 2 of SF5. Balrog might even be the best character in the game, depending on who you talk to. He's probably the closest analogue to Ganon as he has, bar none, the highest damage output in the game. Balrog is a charge character though, which you might find weird if you're transitioning from Smash.
I got my hands on a stick by chance but have zero experience in fighting games. Is there one you can recommend that isn't too expensive and too steep for beginners or has a healthy community? (or whatever is important...) Got a PC/PS4 ^_^
I'd recommend Street Fighter V, it has the biggest active playerbase with crossplay between PC and PS4 and it has been made exactly with the idea of being more easy to pick up for complete newcomers (and nowadays you'll find it massively discounted). If you want to learn the game I'd suggest you to go to r/StreetFighter on Reddit where there are a ton of resources aimed at helping newbies and start learning the game. Just go there and ask, you'll be directed to the Gief's Gym.
The Atrox XB1 can work by replacing the XB1 controller driver with an older version. Take note that the RT will not work you can swap input wires as a workaround. As for the RAP V (not 5), only the initial run of that stick will not work.
"This character is super technical, difficult, and the hardest to use I feel" Ah, so of course she was the one I decided to play upon starting my SF journey back when SSF4-3D was on sale for $5...I just wanted to use the cute ninja girl...
@@l9139 I actually don't have SFV, I'm still back on the 3DS one, I just pulled the video up for future reference because I want to get into the series a little more, so I'm afraid I'm not the best person to answer that - if you can find a serious Street Fighter community like a Reddit or a Forum for it that might be a better place to go
How do I do the fast version of the kunai recharge? The EX version? I'm new to street fighter and ibuki feels natural to me unlike the other characters
14:45 that's why Ibuki destroys laura players... granted good laura players can win without her fireballs on neutral but even then I think it's a hard match up for laura.
Not really in the case of Laura... as her fireball stays, and her ex one it's pretty instant and when the fireball stays and you try to walk back you automatically start blocking, and at the same time if you try to jump it you may (99% sure) get her "air" grab (high command grab) I played multiple Laura players and very few times I lost vs her tho like I previously said she still can beat my ass up but Laura without her fireball game it's not that much of a treat to me.
master infiltration, on this particular vid ua-cam.com/video/BKxD0fTG-LU/v-deo.html at exactly 9:16 how does he end up on the other side after the normal dash (after the delayed air LP MK?) been having sleepless nights trying to figure it out.
He timed the target combo a little different and then dashed immediately. At least that's what I'm seeing...Dashing as soon as you hit the ground when you do that target combo in that way will do that.
hey core I would like you to explain to people about the difference between zoning and spamming. a lot of anime games including SF dont have characters whos play style is straight zoning and they keep calling it spamming. not many people like that play style and think its easy and takes no skill and anyone can do spot on zoning against someone who knows their stuff.
Hey injustice two just came out I believe I made the mistake of buying it I know that it sounds like I'm being salty but I can't play for shit do you have anything that I should do to get decent I've lost all online games I've played and it's fucking annoying cause I feel like I wasted 60 bucks on something I can't play and I want to get good at I've watched the in game tutorials but I can't even compete those I can't do a combo for shit it seems impossible to move my PS4's controller fast enough please help me I don't want this game to be a lost cause for me
I've also only played two characters so that could be it but it's just hard for me to come to a game like this from fps and I don't want to stop playing it
good vid, tho it was all stuff I already knew but very good for beginners. Something I would've start the combo guide part is with the differences between her dp and raida finishers... as with raida people cannot back recovery and that's extremely important as light raida lets you double dash distance for meaty and you can punish quick raisers very easily. Basically you trade some dmg for good positioning. Also when infiltration it's explaining bout her "dashes" (kasumigake) he forgets to mention that people can jab you and grab you out of it if you do it during one block stun (unless you use ex kunai that does two block stun hits then you can safly dash through them)
3 supers?! see they should have kept it at that number. if they added more supers to SFV now that would piss me off because they couldve did that from the get go.
For those wondering why Smash players are gaining interest in SFV is because they share similar fundamentals; given, they are both fighting games. I play Smash 4 primarily, and must say the idea of corner pressure and traps in the corner is reminiscant to the idea of ledgetrapping in Smash 4. If you are curious as to my reasoning, I recommend you watch ZeRo (Ranked #1 in Smash 4 for the past years). His ledgetraps are heavily calculated, and he constantly keeps the opponent forcing to react, in which he anticipates their reaction with a counter/trap of his own.
Whenever I hear Korean, it triggers the japanese-studying side of my game and then I end up in a vegetative state trying to understand what they're saying and then going "oh wait its Korean I forgot" in an endless loop like some sort of sick, weeby groundhog day
I've never seen anyone mention how disadvantaged pad players are for things like choosing the trajectory of ibuki's ex kunai and charging balrog's TAP, being that they only have one thumb for lk, mk, lp and mp.
Travis Leung I'm in super gold on pad and I've briefly tried keyboard, which I struggled on for lack of experience, admittedly motion characters seemed much harder where charge characters seemed easier.
For pad players to play Ibuki...it's a 40 dollar remedy. I use the Hori Fight Commander which has all 6 buttons on the face. The only problem I have is that my right hand has to claw the buttons to dexterously access all the buttons....so I wind up bracing the right grip of the pad into my right thigh for support.
I honestly have no problems playing Ibuki on pad. I can hit lp+mp with just my thumb quite easily but you can always unbind L1/L2 and use a program like joytokey to bind LP+MP to it, which will make it 100% consistent.
Dang there's a lot of people coming from Smash. If you're coming from Smash and wanna play an SFV character, just pick Urien. Right now he's top tier , not too hard (but a charge character) and super swaggy (twitter.com/JohnnyFGC/status/848015353947066368) his V-Trigger (Aegis Reflector) is extremely good! Oh and DEFINITELY keep watching this channel. It's extremely informative.
There's plenty of great fighting games out there ! Make no mistake, SFV is a great casual game but if you are looking for something to really introduce you into the FGC; try looking into KoF14 , Guilty Gear Rev 2, and even MKXL or Injustice 2 for PS4. All fun games available on PS4. If you ever get one I'd be happy to play Guilty Gear with you!
DM Johnny I'm a Smash 4 player so am fairly familiar with the FGC, but I really want to expose myself to the traditional fighters. I'm most likely gonna work my ass off in the summer to invest in a PC/PS4 because SFV looks too tempting. Guilty Gear looks mad fun too. I feel maybe I should invest in a strong gaming PC for both school and gaming by next year bc I'll be starting college as a freshman. I'm definitely considering the investment, I don't want to miss out on SFV any second more.. Even despite its low sales, the game looks damn fun
DM Johnny it is VERY unfortunate to know that/why someone picks/chosen to use a certain character 'just' because that character is 'currently' top tier.
I like these videos. Very informative and nice. But I just don't like how it uses jargon and slang terms where you have to get into the community to understand. I remember playing Smash for the first time and having the same issues with upair and stuff. Just makes it so confusing.
Great video! I love how toward the end he says "get creative, make videos" about the v-trigger. Made one a while back, myself - ua-cam.com/video/srNkxMzJfQo/v-deo.html
Sadly Nash isn't as good as he was in S1. A lot of people say the same about Daigo's Ryu but I doubt we'll ever see it again. Unless of course they change Ryu around soon...
Hope this helps some of you out there. I know a lot of people on this channel play other games or don't play fighting games at all, so thanks for your patience. I really didn't expect such a diverse audience to follow this channel, lol.
I love videos like this and I've never touched SF5. I don't know why but I find it really interesting to watch. But keep up the good work.
That one's actually on the way.
How about guides for KOF or XRD, or even KI instead?
I play Smash 4 primarily, but watching SFV is so interesting. The two games share similar fundamentals; primarly with the "corner". Smash 4 pertains ledge trapping and SFV has corner pressure.
I've been trying to get into SFV and this video is very helpful ! Thank you and thanks to Infil for that great video !
This must have been a painful translation process, but thanks for putting all that work in so that we could enjoy this.

Skulduggery Pleasant Such execution is more or less commonplace amongst decent players, it's the style of play that makes infiltration stand out.
Oh absolutely, I agree. It's the same with any Esport. Hit a certain point and you're hitting buttons lighting fast. What distinguishes players are their styles and thought processes.
you should buy it. it's only 20 bucks
Subject 18 is absolutely right. it is very common and any half decent player does the same thing more or less.
The most advanced part of the tutorial was trying to follow what infiltration was saying and watch the gameplay.
Great video. Even tho I don't play a lot of fighting games and a lot of the things said in the video went over my head, the video sure was interesting. This kind of complexity makes me wanna play a fighting. I probably would.

2 of my favourite people in the FGC. I'll be a scrub forever, but I'll never get sick of this partnership combo.
woooohooooooooooooooo new episode!

Hope you enjoy it.
I just realized that Core-A is a play on the word Korea
I don't even have street fighter or a PS4 but still a good video keep it up like usual
Realy nice guide for ibuki :p now, When s Juri infiltration sama ? !!! :)
Can someone tell me 10:11 what he does different to stay in front or go behind>?
From the looks of it, he delayed the MK slightly, and then he dashed underneath.
as a Ibuki main, i aprove this video, twice.
What about her V-Trigger II? I personally think it's great since it comes back and its possible to combo it into standard lp+mp+hp+dp and back into the fuma shuriken.
TigasFMS this guide was before AE edition, before characters have their 2nd VT.

Gerald! Are you coming to CEO this year?
Would be awesome to see you!

Whenever I hear Korean, it triggers the japanese-studying side of my game and then I end up in a vegetative state trying to understand what they're saying and then going "oh wait its Korean I forgot" in an endless loop like some sort of sick, weeby groundhog day
that's great and all but still, someone did the damn netcode!!!
guys how do I EX cr.lp
Still waiting for Decapre.
I've never seen anyone mention how disadvantaged pad players are for things like choosing the trajectory of ibuki's ex kunai and charging balrog's TAP, being that they only have one thumb for lk, mk, lp and mp.
Travis Leung But you can get used to that right? You cannot get used the aforementioned problems on pad. Also what rank are you?
DM Johnny I would, but it's so damn hard to gain access! I don't have a PC/PS4. And if I invest in a PS4, I would only play SFV :(
There's plenty of great fighting games out there !
Awesome
All these people talking trash about smash players watching Core A Gaming's channel... and I feel bad because I'm one of them 😅
MAKE ONE FOR AKUMA AND ZANGIEF AND ED AND RASHID AND ALEX AND URIEN
13:58 My nigga
I like these videos. Very informative and nice. But I just don't like how it uses jargon and slang terms where you have to get into the community to understand. I remember playing Smash for the first time and having the same issues with upair and stuff. Just makes it so confusing.
Great lesson and it didn't cost us $100... Kappa
Abigail or cody pleeeaseee....
step 1: buy Ibuki's old outfit
At 10:56 i swear he says my nigga xD.
I don't even have next gen but fuck it's Core-A
10:55 "my nigga"
Great video! I love how toward the end he says "get creative, make videos" about the v-trigger. Made one a while back, myself - ua-cam.com/video/srNkxMzJfQo/v-deo.html
Who missing his Nash?
Sadly Nash isn't as good as he was in S1. A lot of people say the same about Daigo's Ryu but I doubt we'll ever see it again. Unless of course they change Ryu around soon...
