My Gastric Emptying Study Experience! Eating Radioactive Eggs to Test for Gastroparesis (May 2020)

Here is one of the tests I did to investigate what is going on with my stomach and why I am having issues tolerating food and liquid.

WAITING FOR THE TEST ON JAN 9. I AM SITTING HERE NAUSEATED AS I LISTEN TO YOUR VIDEO. I HAVE JUST EAT 2 HEALTHY FIG BARS AND I HAD A PROTEIN BAR FOR BREAKFAST.. I FEEL LIKE THE FOOD IS CAUGHT IN MY ESOPHAGUS. THE ONLY THING AN ENDOSCOPY SHOWED WAS A LARGE HIATAL HERNIA.

How/where did you get your scan performed?. Or who organises it? I’m not sure what to ask for. ( I’m in Aus also).

It was organised by a gastroenterologist :)

I'm about to go through this and I'm terrified that i'll hear the same thing. -.- I live in australia too. Hopefully i dont see the first gastroenterologist that you did :P ahhaha.

The test itself isn't painful, it depends if it is painful for you to eat or drink food in general that part might be painful, but the test itself is not :)
