@@CassandraPantaristiits because of them, that the game succeeded to the point of being able to acquire master tracks of huge bands. They are the unsung heroes of a whole generation of new rockers.
Before I listened to Marcus Miller and Victor Wooten, there was Darryl Anders inspiring me to take up the electric bass. Just because of the 10 or so seconds he played in this video.
I met Darryl when I was younger at some event and he was slapping that bass like it owed him child support. He's literally a God with a bass guitar. 🤘🏻
It's a shame there wasn't a Ace of Spades Big Rock Ending tabs scene by Marcus Henderson and GH80s bonus videos, both things are necessary and good things to see by this incredible guys...but the memory remains, rock forever!
If they had legit made the Little Tuna song, I would have downloaded it just for the chuckles. The fun of being a guitarist: we can goof around on music and it can still be very fun.
Full list of songs: Ace Of Spades, Crossroads, Cowboys From Hell, Smoke On The Water, Sharp Dressed Man, Higher Ground, Killer Queen, Take Me Out, Hey You, And Bark At The Moon.
I got to say that Activision that made this game I have to say thanks to them and Harmonix cuz I learned to play guitar cuz of Guitar Hero and rock band
I really liked the cover band feel of the first two games. I hated the third one on once they got the official licensing for the songs. The outro to Them Bones, the solo to Ziggy Stardust, little nuances like that made the tracks almost better than the originals.
7 years later haha but fuck no every song in guitar hero 1 and 2 are legit covers literally to the fucking T you can't even recognize the covers from the Originals
It was all covers in GH1 & 2, then a few master tracks in 3, and all master tracks from World Tour onwards. I believe GHM Ace of Spades is from 2008 rather than the proper master track.
I think this video is just a demonstration. Pretty sure they were just playing along what they already recorded. By the way, when you're recording solos you're at a point in the production you don't really need a click anymore.
That started with Guitar Hero III when they would use actual songs. The playlist is like half original songs and half covers. Guitar Hero World Tour-onwards, all Guitar Hero games (except for Guitar Hero: Smash Hits) used actual songs only.
The fact that they were able to successfully pull off all of these different covers is beyond me
its like the game is their own covered album
Never that of the series in that way. 😅

For some reason, that little "rah, ree, ruh" at 3:35 has stuck with me all these years
This is probably one of the coolest behind the scenes things from any videogame!
so nostalgic.. its been 13 years

IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS VIDEO BY TYPING GH1 EXTRA MOVIE, GH1 MINI MOVIE, GH 1 BLABLA. FINALLY
It's a shame there wasn't a Ace of Spades Big Rock Ending tabs scene by Marcus Henderson and GH80s bonus videos, both things are necessary and good things to see by this incredible guys...but the memory remains, rock forever!

I'd love to see these covers on Spotify
Full list of songs: Ace Of Spades, Crossroads, Cowboys From Hell, Smoke On The Water, Sharp Dressed Man, Higher Ground, Killer Queen, Take Me Out, Hey You, And Bark At The Moon.
These guys aren’t human impersonating all these vocalist like that.
In the beta, Austin Willacy sang Spanish Castle Magic before that was removed from the track.
I think that song was kept in the game.
It's instrumental, the vocals were scrapped.
Ah ok
I never understood why that song was an instrumental for the game
+Luis Morales and others who were wondering- the Hendrix estate didn't want Jimi's voice to be tried, so they had to use a instrumental.
I got to say that Activision that made this game I have to say thanks to them and Harmonix cuz I learned to play guitar cuz of Guitar Hero and rock band
Does anyone have any info about the guy at 3:51 who is also the guy who sings Killer Queen, I love his voice
His name is Austin Willacy
Not easy to have to do Freddie's songs, but agreed that he does a great job.
this cover is better than the original for me@@chambeet

Don't cover the songs get permission and program the songs for the game or something
They DID get permission to use the songs but they didn't get the original master tracks. Therefore they had to make covers of the songs.
That started with Guitar Hero III when they would use actual songs. The playlist is like half original songs and half covers. Guitar Hero World Tour-onwards, all Guitar Hero games (except for Guitar Hero: Smash Hits) used actual songs only.
What song on 2:02?
