Sometimes it seems like they went backwards...I feel like they've sacrificed graphics of the characters & what people mostly pay attention to for the environment & shit that's in the distance or to have more things on the screen which just dumb to me. PS4/XBOX1 was on the verge of making characters look real, but then towards the end they started to look more cartoonish

The PS5 is atmospherically better. By shown all the weather and ambient effects. Mostly the sand and dust in the air is giving it the grain visual feel. Ive played both versions and the PS4 version is truly stunning aswell.

The PS4 version of most games overcompensates the lack of details with contrast. I believe you can still have a great experience playing any AAA game on a PS4 in 2023, if it supports it.

The PS5 version is factually better, as it offers a higher resolution in quality mode and a better framerate in performance mode. The only difference here is that the dude who posted this short upped the contrast on the PS4, making the dark and bright spots stand out more. You can literally do the same on the PS5, yet people don't realize that this is simply a game setting. I feel like the majority of players don't open settings menus at all.
All these years, I'm still happy with my ps4. I think I'm skipping the 5, but will for sure get the 6. (it's not about money, for those who say that in the comments. It's really simple, ps4 is sharper while ps5 has more texture and the lighting is too extra in ps4
The main benefit/difference via the PS5 is the performance through the frame-rate.
