They were! 😍
An absolutely wonderful video and a great channel :3. The 747 is an amazing plane that helped Qantas become the airline it is today, and it's really sad to see them go. I'm so jealous you got fly one before the pandemic and the views were amazing!
Thank you Andrew! So glad you liked it. :)
Yes, the 747 is an incredible beast. There are only three left in Qantas's fleet now and the future for them looks bleak. It certainly is sad.
Nice! I wished I booked onboard this flight
Thanks. Yeah - it was a great experience. Although editing it made me miss flying all the more.
Such a fascinating trip report. It's sad that we won't be able to fly on this gorgeous 747 soon, but you were lucky to be on this plane before the pandemic. Really nice channel and I would love to subscribe to your channel 😄
Vinavia Thank you! Yes, it’s very sad that almost all 747s (except for cargo) are grounded and we may not see many still flying when the pandemic is over. ☹️
Appreciate your support. 👍
We all hope so. Thank you so much for your reply 🙏
Wonderful video Adam! Oh no coffee and tea :/ any sparkling wine then? 😂
One World Flyer Thanks Jayden! Really appreciate that. 👌 Haha. It was okay by me because I tend to avoid caffeine when flying but yes, I had sparkling wine in the Qantas Lounge before the flight. 🥂 Went for red wine onboard to go with the steak. 🍷
Hope you enjoyed your meal out and sparkling wine last night. 😉
I can’t believe you flew a 747 on such a short route, I thought at first I read it incorrectly... absolutely incredible, BA over here in the UK did very little to mark the sad departure of this aircraft.... thanks so much for sharing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Yes, it was an awesome experience. Glad you liked it! 😊
Amazing video! That must have been the best flight ever. I loved how you switched between the plane and airport view for the approach and landing. Again thank you so much for using my video. 👍
Skiing and Public Transport So glad you liked it! 👍 Thanks again for letting me use your footage. It was definitely one of the best flights I’ve been on ... although I think the time I was flying with Cathay Pacific from Adelaide to Hong Kong in premium economy and got a free upgrade at check in to business class was also an incredible (and unexpected) experience. ☺️
awesome trip report, flying a 747 on domesttic route is wonderful. Shame that they have retired the Queens and 737s operate this route instead. I love the Queen
Trip Report Thank you. Yes, it was a wonderful experience. It’s a sad year for the Queen of the Skies. ✈️
I did that to in November in one day I did NPE-AKL-SYD-BNE-SYD-AKL. Spent the night in Auckland before flying back to Napier the next morning. If QF does keep the 747s I'll fly across the tasman again. Love that engine view
Sounds awesome. 😃 Hopefully we haven’t seen the last of them but it’s not looking good. ☹️
Those seats look awful, I dunno how qantas with selling that as a business product, awesome trip report and very detailed!!! Hope you had a good flight!
Thanks for watching!
Great video! I envy you, that you flew on 747-400.. Now is very difficult to catch this aircraft in service :-/
Pete Brandy Yes, it was an incredible experience. 😍
Well I envy you living in Europe. You have an incredible rail system. 👌 We have very few trains in Australia outside of capital cities. ☹️
@@FromtheWindowSeat And I envy you for living in Australia. Many of my favorite countries are much closer from Australia. And also you have summer weather all year :-D But you're right, there is a great railway system in Europe and now when the airlines reduced many flights, the train is an ideal choice for traveling!
Pete Brandy Ha. But in Europe you can visit dozens of countries on a two hour flight. In most of Australia, two hours won’t get you to any other country. 😜
Nice domestic 747 video :D Shame they're getting retired left and right now :(
Thank you! Yes, it is a sad time for the industry. 😔
the greatest aviation channel in the world. Better than Swiss001, better that Noel Philips and even better that you sent it during quarantine. Great vid and biggest fan.
Torrin McGill Thank you. That’s very kind! 👍
I don't think those seats or their 2-3-2 configuration will be missed, but the 747 will be.
True!
I snared a ticket for next weeks fina Qantasl 747 joy flights
dougieboy28 Lucky you! I hear they sold out quickly. Unfortunately no flights from Adelaide so not really practical for me.
Extremely sad to see 747 being retired from QF...... :(
Yes, so sad. And particularly in the current circumstances where they can’t do some sort of celebration. 😢
Aus Flight Channel The Queen deserves a much grander farewell.....I hope Qantas will bring The Queen out for one last flight 😢
Kenneth Mar Here’s hoping! 🤞🏽
no more 747 in qf
Yes, very sad. 😢
