Its a free game... no one's forcing you to spend money on the game. I agree with you though - its just that they are in business to make money - not keep you and me happy hah

They should do things to give the players what they want to keep them happy, that drives interest in the game and maybe players who wouldn’t spend money on the game now would buy a couple things due to the devs listening to the community and not taking the shameless cash grab.

I found that upgrading commanders is the hardest thing in this game. I have around 5 million Commander XP (and growing) that I just can't use. They just don't have enough missions that reward you with promotion orders to utilize all the commander XP you generate. They should either increase the availability of commander resources for upgrades, or have a system in place to convert the Commander XP into silver or Global XP. I doubt they'll do that though.
How long have you been playing? I've played 3 years and for the past year and half I've not even bothered trying to actively get promotion orders I've had plenty to upgrade commanders to 13 except for the garbage ones.

Now, almost all of my commanders are at least 16/3 for both lines, but it is definitely slower getting there than anything else in the game. I also have a tendency of building up commanders in lines that I don't play that I want to use as inspirations so there's that.
I have a strict 3 commander policy for German ships: Hipper for main gun focused play on Tirpitz and possible future ships, Ciliax for German Battlecruisers and Hyde for everything else because why bother using anything else? He's perfect for most. 2 exceptions: AL Bismarck for the memes on Brandenburg and Teslau strictly on Anhalt because the Boomsticks and Midnight oil. Got her tailor made for maximum rate of fire speed and traverse.
No one ever responded to my internet queries about books and crannies for secondaries so I went for it. It’s greatly improved my Schroder main battery. Same for this ship. More secondary damage numbers flying too.
Me who own the original Tirpitz in the prehistoric age of this game. 17k doubloons for the better version is just...bro nah. I aint gambling a single crate to get currencies i get every daily...💀

LOL... Yeah "better" I just was in a game against a division of 3 BA Tirptz. I was in my Alabama. I dev struck one and sunk the other 2 by using my superior gun range and accuracy. It was hilarious how many torps died at the end of their range not getting near me as they kept showing broadsides to launch. Their secondaries were useless, also. I ended up with 206k damage against the red team. Very satisfying.
You always make the best stuff. It's like all the things I'm constantly repeating to my buddies that the other CCs or higher notoriety players ignore, you just come right out and say. I swear at least once per video I'm like "YEESSS! THANK YOUUU!" 😂 for example here, mentioning that brawling BBs aren't very conducive to how current WOWSL typically plays right now and hybrid builds are a better bet. Absolutely true. Tirpitz is my #1 played ship and 100% hybrid builds are the way to go Also, nifty little note I learned recently. Tirpitz actually has slightly less main gun AP pen than Bismarck. I assume as a trade off for the faster reload. Idk
I have the OG KMS Tirpitz and she serves just fine. I utilize her in a hybrid build with Henry J. Hide with Cunningham and Hipper, but I switch from Porcupine to Alidad.
We have seen that whenever a new AL wave comes out it always brings some pretty good to amazing ships and commanders. My question is, what are your wish lists for the next wave six AL collab in terms of shipgirls (and the ships themselves of course)? AL itself has absolutely no shortage of both historical and blueprint shipgirl characters so I would love to hear your wishlist
Enterprise all the way. Great grandfather served on her. Plus I hate listening to a British guy on a American ship. WG give me Enterprise or Historical AP bomber commander, please.
Outside of what is in legends I dont know anything about AL, so unsure who Id pick. My fave ship is Mino and I already have two AL girls to use on her so im unsure
I've been playing WoWs for a while but I recently read somewhere that speed and turning affects the dispersion of your ship. So if youre not moving or turning you get the best dispersion. This is very relevant for battleships; should try to move at around 20kts rather than full throttle all the time
I've always treated my Tirpitz as a gunnery focused ship with some slightly buffed secondaries and emergency use torpedoes anyway. If I want to play a German ship for brawling and secondaries, its gonna be Brandenburg or Bismarck B.
This ship is built in such a way that even vets want’s her because it is better. At first I thought of buying Borodino, but I ended up with Georgia and Siegfried because I didn't have them. I'm thinking about buying a BA Tirpitz for a little while longer. Brokendino was nice when i rented her but then there was no those all planes in air and new stuff. Sadly she got nerfed and camo is lot more ugly than rent version.
I joined world of warships community late. I noticed right off the bat I have no chance using battle ships without a buffed version but buying and spending my paycheck.
I disagree. Some of my favorite battleships are free! Hawke and Duncan clap cheeks and are free on the tech tree. Republique is the best BB at tier 8 and is free for GXP. Flandre, Massachusetts, Monarch and company are free at tier 7 for GXP. There are some "strong versions" of premium ships no doubt like AL New Jersey, and BA Montana. But their advantages are not so much that you HAVE to buy them. Ill take a good player in an Iowa any day over a noob with this AL New Jersey

After seeing stats on ba Montana it's op. U can get up to 6 heals 1100hp per tick better rudder. Also with commanders u can get 22 second main gun reload and a hybrid commander and speed boost. I think they over did ba Montana. I cant believe it got super heals speed boost super low reload and that commander that goes with it. Most op thing ever

I think the BA Tirpitz commander should be well suited to the German battlecruiser line since their secondary gun armaments are much superior than the original line.

I think they need to offer all commanders at their Max levels... I don't see an arguement for why this wouldn't be equally fair to everyone... and tbh they arent making a ton of money on their store insignias
Only just got enough to get the regular Tirpitz and then ofc they release this one to make the one I got look like shit by comparison. I’m really only annoyed because I was perfectly happy with the stats I was getting, but knowing there’s a better version is killing me inside.
Just let it go man, the stat buffs are not worth the money. It’s still a Tirpitz 😂 meaning there are a dozen other T VII battleships that are better. Enjoy your ftp Tirpitz, get good at the game, and dumpster kids in their shiny expensive premiums 😄

So I actually did a spreadsheet for what I have remaining for commanders and it’s…bonkers Granted YMMV (I have played yes since the beginning but mostly off and on so I have not been dumping in over 5 years) That said this makes this all the more jarring for new players What I found was that if I were to do the weeklies ALONE (I did not do campaign or crates or anything so this will be longer but still fairly relevant) it would take me 560 years to get all the promotion orders, 16 for the insignias, and 52 for the commendations Honestly this feels like the numbers are inflated and I’m not entirely sure if I did this right because of how ridiculous those numbers are Side note: the BA Tirpitz does look cool and I too believe it’s an obvious upgrade and was interested at the reduced concealment I would also like to note that the above spreadsheet was done prior to the BA being added and I lacked 17 commanders In any case, I appreciated the video and I think it was a good write-up
@@DerkaGames I went back when I wasn’t tired. Idk how many I need atm. Thankfully I did the spreadsheet wrong. Somehow. But the total POs needed for all 145 commanders in game is 22185. Weeklies net 32/week. This would take 13 years if you didn’t do campaigns or anything

13:23 interesting you still feel this way, despite now at 5 years in we have the most ways to get commander resources for free... and even more if you pay for the campaign. for veteran players i think there is a great many options, however i agree new players have it rough for commander resources without paywall.
You’re correct it used to be a lot worse. At least now if I want to take the time I can grind 1 insignia and 1 commendation per week. Only 11 weeks of doing that to get a legendary 3 commander 😂
Recommendations for tier 7 for the 70% discount shop? I got the Plymouth last one but don’t have many others. Probably looking for another cruiser or destroyer to grind credits

This update just shows how P2W this game is going. Campaign ship is garbage, but hey look at the new ships in the store that are better than the ones you can earn. On top of the premium commanders that outshine every standard commander in the game.
Montana seems more broken...BUT Legendary tier is a dumpster fire. although i suppose teammates are complete morons regardless of what tier you are playing. This one would be better for grinding silver though if you need a premium for that
These are literally all of things people have been crying on discord for years. Ofc they they take all those ideas for paid content and normal Tirpiz gets the short end of the stick ☠️.
DD heavy games? People wonder why the MOST POWERFUL CLASS is the most picked. Another reason why I dislike playing above 6. Just such slow boring gameplay, because the DD’s are just devastating.
Going around that island is a noob trap. Very rarely will a person that does that have a decent game or help their team win. You create a disadvantage for your team at the cap, while you do basically nothing sailing for minutes and you don’t even have LoS on enemies so you aren’t even firing your guns. By the time you come out the match is half over and you’re in the corner of the map, too far to make much of an impact on the rest of the game. Just remove that part of the map. There’s nothing fun or clever that happens there, it just frustrates you when noobs go play a sailing simulator for the first half of the match.
I agree it’s annoying, at least he was in Flandres and not Colorado lol. Had he executed well he could’ve wrecked us. Push hard, nail Boro broadside for two salvos, get behind Boro where his turrets are useless. Freak out our Dds maybe keeping their Oland alive…. Etc. that’s what I THOUGHT he was gonna do, I was there to counter but hey

The majority of games, your cap gets pushed and taken, then as you pass the middle gap you get shot or they just do nothing and the enemy moves onto the next cap. They just took themselves out of the game and they can’t even kite and pull enemies with them. Totally useless.

Only just got enough to get the regular Tirpitz and then ofc they release this one to make the one I got look like shit by comparison. I’m really only annoyed because I was perfectly happy with the stats I was getting, but knowing there’s a better version is killing me inside.
Just let it go man, the stat buffs are not worth the money. It’s still a Tirpitz 😂 meaning there are a dozen other T VII battleships that are better. Enjoy your ftp Tirpitz, get good at the game, and dumpster kids in their shiny expensive premiums 😄
So I actually did a spreadsheet for what I have remaining for commanders and it’s…bonkers
Granted YMMV (I have played yes since the beginning but mostly off and on so I have not been dumping in over 5 years)
That said this makes this all the more jarring for new players
What I found was that if I were to do the weeklies ALONE (I did not do campaign or crates or anything so this will be longer but still fairly relevant) it would take me 560 years to get all the promotion orders, 16 for the insignias, and 52 for the commendations
Honestly this feels like the numbers are inflated and I’m not entirely sure if I did this right because of how ridiculous those numbers are
Side note: the BA Tirpitz does look cool and I too believe it’s an obvious upgrade and was interested at the reduced concealment
I would also like to note that the above spreadsheet was done prior to the BA being added and I lacked 17 commanders

@@DerkaGames I went back when I wasn’t tired. Idk how many I need atm. Thankfully I did the spreadsheet wrong. Somehow. But the total POs needed for all 145 commanders in game is 22185. Weeklies net 32/week. This would take 13 years if you didn’t do campaigns or anything

13:23 interesting you still feel this way, despite now at 5 years in we have the most ways to get commander resources for free... and even more if you pay for the campaign. for veteran players i think there is a great many options, however i agree new players have it rough for commander resources without paywall.
You’re correct it used to be a lot worse. At least now if I want to take the time I can grind 1 insignia and 1 commendation per week. Only 11 weeks of doing that to get a legendary 3 commander 😂

This update just shows how P2W this game is going. Campaign ship is garbage, but hey look at the new ships in the store that are better than the ones you can earn. On top of the premium commanders that outshine every standard commander in the game.

Montana seems more broken...BUT Legendary tier is a dumpster fire. although i suppose teammates are complete morons regardless of what tier you are playing. This one would be better for grinding silver though if you need a premium for that

DD heavy games? People wonder why the MOST POWERFUL CLASS is the most picked. Another reason why I dislike playing above 6. Just such slow boring gameplay, because the DD’s are just devastating.

Going around that island is a noob trap. Very rarely will a person that does that have a decent game or help their team win. You create a disadvantage for your team at the cap, while you do basically nothing sailing for minutes and you don’t even have LoS on enemies so you aren’t even firing your guns. By the time you come out the match is half over and you’re in the corner of the map, too far to make much of an impact on the rest of the game.
Just remove that part of the map. There’s nothing fun or clever that happens there, it just frustrates you when noobs go play a sailing simulator for the first half of the match.
I agree it’s annoying, at least he was in Flandres and not Colorado lol. Had he executed well he could’ve wrecked us. Push hard, nail Boro broadside for two salvos, get behind Boro where his turrets are useless. Freak out our Dds maybe keeping their Oland alive…. @@DerkaGames that’s a whole lot of things to go right just to maybe have a good game. It just doesn’t end well usually. The majority of games, your cap gets pushed and taken, then as you pass the middle gap you get shot or they just do nothing and the enemy moves onto the next cap. They just took themselves out of the game and they can’t even kite and pull enemies with them. Totally useless.
