For all those wondering and cant wait for Grandpa J to respond, he's wearing a SNDD87 on a NATO :) Could you do a video on how to invest as a broke med student/premed? I know you have a video on investing strategy but a strategic breakdown of where/how you spend your finances would be awesome. For example --> I spend 10% of my monthly income on luxury expenses (such as watches, etc). Just a suggestion, thanks!
You are the best channel for productivity videos - I am not a med student or even a student. I am just getting so many aha moments from things you are saying! Thank you!
The biggest takeaway from this, which is something I strive to do each day as well, is to use break time and/or downtime to get something done. Cycling to campus or using a break to get groceries is great because when you actually want to chill out and relax at the end of the day, you've accomplished your non-academic goals for the day and you can actually rest. Super helpful tips, loved this one! (from Dr. Paul)
You are amazing. I have literally implemented every strategy that you had mentioned into my studying and daily activities. Taking tests and exams in med school are such a joy right now. Thank you a lot for sharing this on UA-cam. Best of luck to you!!
Dr. Jubbal, I just want to say thank you for sharing and allowing us to adopt and apply your knowledge. Your videos are so hopeful for someone trying to become a surgeon that is the first generation in their family. I can't thank you enough for being a great mentor.
Great tips. My favorite tip was how you had planned out every 30 minutes for the next 6 weeks when you were in college. That's some hardcore commitment right there. Time management used to be my greatest flaw, but these videos and online learning really makes it a lot easier.
I discovered you when i was a medical student! Thank you for your videos. I am now family medicine resident trying to balance residency and making a youtube channel :D
The best part of the video for me was the last bit about being okay with not following the schedule- we are human, not robots. Sometimes, forcing ourselves to grind and work hard will lead of burnout later on, which infinitely affect productivity so much more than taking it a little easy throughout and taking day offs once in a while. We all have different capacities and if taking a break once a week is important for you, don't sacrifice it for the sake of being more productive
I took FL2 yesterday and got a 525. Still aiming for that 528 - watch out for an application your way very soon! Thanks for all of your videos and productivity strategies on here and on MSI. :)
Thank you for this Kevin! Im a med student with a UA-cam channel, as well as working part-time AND doing a weekly commute between two cities to spend time with my girlfriend. Really needed to hear that this kind of livestyle isn't sustainable as I was starting to doubt myself - like "I should be able to do this, why am I feeling burned out".
How To Be More Productive👍 Make a reasonable to-do list. Don't overwhelm yourself. Set small goals for the tasks. Focus on one goal at a time. Track your time to identify patterns. Find a method for delegating and following-up
Definitely going to incorporate some of your med school routines into my schedule! The residency tips sound too intense for me right now, but I know I'll build up to it :)
A moment of silence for the ones who have not found this channel... and detention for all of you how comes our guy is not in the million subs like come on
I got a scheduled 3 minute crapper for every morning of every week for the next 10 years, but nobody running to give me flowers. Nonetheless, thanks for the wisdom Dr. Papa J. Also. right now I do cloze deletions and image occ on Anki, but how would you recommend using Anki for Ochem II and all mechanisms we got to remember?
Wow are we the same? I also used to be in a LD relationship and the folding laundry during facetime wasn't appreciated either haha Any advice for an MS2 when the afternoon hours get slow? I'm trying to do as many practice problems as I can with review. Like practice questions in the morning, videos/lectures afternoon, more questions in the evening, something like that? Some days are a real grind tbh
I'm so so so introvert and I want to go to med school and I just realised it's never going to be like home and I have no idea how to make friends plus i had this dream since i was litrally 8 WHAT SHOULD I DO????? Also did I mention I like your videos and your motivating?
Love your videos actually helping a lot . What to do in five minutes after 25 min in promodoro technique I end up using my phone for a long time . Need some tips on this please
Hi Kevin, I had ulcerative colitis but when I started taking Asacol HD it went away completely. I also started taking Lithium Carbonate which helped even more
Glad you’re finding things that work for you. Everyone has different disease types and different medications have varying efficacy. Always speak to your physician for medication recommendations. Asacol did nothing for me, I unfortunately have more severe disease, but I would have been so happy if it did.
Hello I'm a high school graduate from India. I wanna be a doctor in USA. I am well aware of rigour of a medical school then also I wanna become a doctor. But I was discouraged by the fact that there few medical schools that accept international students. I will be doing my pre med from USA so that it'll be easier to apply and be eligible to medical school. So I wanted to know that if the medical schools accepts international students who have done their pre med from us college and have a 4.0 undergraduate GPA , a 522+ MCAT score and some clinical experience in the undergraduate. Please provide me this information that if a international student can do MD from USA.

In college, how many hours did you study every single day?
You are a productivity monster! Lmao
Do you think that it is even possible to have a “ more balanced” life as a good surgery resident?
If you focus on purely surgery that helps
Why do you stand while you’re studying?? I have seen some other people do the same thing.
I have a video about standing desks on the MSI channel
INSPIARTIONN! Ahahahah it's INSPIRATION
Do you have an MBA, are you planning on getting one, if not?
