Yes ! This is exactly what I was waiting for. Goddamn the chorus and the orgle sounds awesome. This feels a lot more tragic and darker than the original. You can almost taste the Deathblight in the atmosphere this has. I am preparing a Elden Ring tabletop campaign and I know exactly when to play this. Geniuanly good job man.

Really love the Organ in this piece, incredibly somber. What Ranni and her hidden allies (Theroized to be Rykard, Marika) did to Godwyn almost makes me not like her. Of all the Demi-Gods he seemed the most noble and heroic. Shows how dire things were that they had to kill him to spark the Shattering.Maybe whichever side Godwyn took would mean the other side was guaranteed to lose. I'd assume he had the Dragons on his side once they were allies. I would love to fight the Prince of Death in the DLC or find out what Godwyn was turning into. Miquella, Prince of Death, and an Outer God are what i want to fight on the DLC. We need to fight some Outer God...Hell I'd even be happy with the Rot God Scorpion that was sealed away by the Blind Swordsman in Blue.
I get where you are coming form, but in war, one cannot take a half measure. From all I know, the greater will is not good. Ranni aimed to remove this tyrannical force from the world. This is why, even though I love miquella and think he is one of the two demigods that have a just cause, I am on Ranni's side. No matter the vision miquella has, the Greater Will will still be in control. Now, it is interesting that my two favorite demi-gods seemed to have an interesting relationship since miquella entrusted items to ranni. Both are similar in that they wish to remove the influence of outer gods and to create a world that is welcoming to all. I wonder what their history is, as well as Melina's history with them since she seems to have a connection to both of them considering torrent and the fact the melina and ranni look similar.
@@hellothere-hx5by Personally, I'm of the theory that the Moon is an Outer God. I've never really believed that Ranni wanted to remove all control from the Outer Gods, she wants one that serves her interests. Her main grievance with the Greater Will was how it controlled their Ages Elden Lord via the Elden Ring inside their body, like a puppet. With Marika, the Greater Will controlled birth itself, I would assume there was a sort of tax it extracted for control of this process. Ranni seems like she would become a God during the Age of Stars similar to what Marika's station during the Age of the Erdtree. Funnily enough, though Ranni is in a puppet body, her main motive was to not be a puppet and controlled by that "thing" otherwise known as the Elden Beast. She has more freedom with her lack of a body and her spirit being free of lineage. I don't think she intended the deathblight to spread, but whatever the case, her conspirators were trying to hasten the end if the Greater Wills control so an usurpation of power could take place. As for my personal favorite Miquella, I'm of the belief he wishes to become an Outer God himself. I think he met many failures to be the victor of the shattering to prior to his in-game state as a cocoon however. My personal theory, is that during the Eclipse of the Sun, Miquella wished to implant his soul in the body of the prince of Death Godwyn so his reach could spread throughout the Lands Between and he could eventually win through the deathblight. Im not so sure the way he proceeds with doing this is noble however or was completed. Really excited for this DLC to see how they conclude his story. I find it fascinating that they created a character whom we never see but can feel his greatness through the creation of the Haligtree, his knowledge of Fundamentalism, the Myth of St. Trina, and his ascendency to adulthood. Also, I'm fairly certain that Melina is hidden child of Marika, all of the Demi-gods are siblings after all with their convoluted family tree. The in-game butterfly's represent the direct offspring of Marika and Radagon. Smoldering Butterfly = Melina Aeonian Butterfly = Malenia Nascent Butterfly = Miquella
Have you seen Tarnished Archaelogist's theory that the Two Fingers were planning to have Godwyn betrothed to Ranni? They explicitly are described by Ranni as designating her to be the god of the next age, and in Elden Ring, part of being a god is taking a consort as Lord and using the power of the Elden Ring to produce and regulate the order of life. Rykkard and Mohg are both called "Lord", as the former is the consort of the serpent god (think of the Sunken Valley Clan in Sekiro offering themselves to the Serpent in marriage) and the latter aspires to be the consort of Miquella, respectively. Dragonlord Placidussax also had a god he served under, and given that he is explicitly stated to have been Elden Lord, that god must have been an Empyrean under the Greater Will (TA speculated the Gloam Eyed Queen, as the Godskin have draconic features). If Godwyn was to be betrothed to Ranni (we have no idea if he had any say or even knowledge in the manner), that would add some explanation as to why Ranni had it out for him. As TA subtitled that part of his video, "My Body, My Choice".
@@Nemo12417 Hey there, yeah I've watched all of Tarnished Archaeologist's videos. His stuff is really great, best lore creator for the souls series to date. Honestly, I made my initial comment before truly getting the entire story but I think his theory of Godwyn and Ranni being betrothed to each other makes alot of sense. We really can only take Ranni's word that she was next in line for the throne as she was an Empyrean. My only question is why would the Two Fingers / Greater will care at all for a succession of the Elden Ring before the Night of the Black Knives? Considering that they would want Ranni as the next in line only after The Shattering since Marika was a God who is to live eternal. Really, we have no idea what the Greater Will's motive is, but Ranni's motivation makes sense. I think after the Death of Godwyn and Miquella being stolen by Mogh, Marika wanted to break the world and keep it broken so completely that she broke the Elden Ring and sealed it closed so no one could repair it, Marika's final curse. Either way, I believe that Marika helped to conspire with the Death of Godwyn as well to hasten a succession of Miquella, hence Marika's despair when he was taken. Im so beyond excited for this DLC. Hoping it answers some of these questions.
I want a boss in Elden Ring that needs this theme. Normal Fortissax is epic, awesome and terrifying. But a boss with this as it's theme? The goosebumps could kill, I reckon.
Today i have a dnd game, i am master and is time to the party to figth a Dragon-Ligthing God who nobody want to say him name for fear... AND ELDEN RING GIVE THE PERFECT OST FOR THIS DAY
That's definitely one of the most impressive screenshots I've seen of this boss

Of all dragons existence. This is the most terrifying one.
Give this boss more health Miyazaki! He is too squishy for how epic and amazing he is!!!
Oh my Gwyn. This is amazing. Fortissax is the coolest damn dragon of all time and I will fight you on that.
Placidusax, Gransax and Midir are serious contenders though. But yeah, he/she is certainly up there.
If they made him more mobile and gave him more health i could put him in my top 3

One of my favorite bosses. Such a tragic story for him and his best friend, and imo you can hear it in the music.
