I'm excited to share this one with you all - it's the result of a tremendous amount of work. I hope it finds all the Fortissax fans across youtube and I hope you enjoy it for many listens. Can't wait to hear what you think :) NOTE: The lyrics are my own unofficial transcriptions and programmed from scratch using a bunch of virtual choirs. I kept them really close to the original but allowed inspiration to steer them in a few places focusing on musicality, voice leading and phonetic fluidity.
Great job! Your hard work paid off! It is truly epic and does the original justice :) The written parts reminded me of that dragon language from Skyrim, not because of the sounds, it must be due to the fact Fortissax is a dragon and then Skyrim comes to mind.
Not to sound grim, but this artwork you create will definitely be noticed. Vincent Van Gogh's artwork wasn't appreciated until years after his death. You might not have a lot of subscribers, but your impact on the community will be noticed eventually.
@@theonlyMoancore Thanks I appreciate it. It's been a bit frustrating but I think you're right. I'll be back soon with more music. Looking forward to showcasing my latest choir designs.
The perfect first comment haha. Im happy to know you've been looking forward to it so much! Glad I could finally get it out, I've been working on it since last March.
Dear god you just hit me in a soft spot with this track. The vocals and the instruments synergizing as if it represented the regalness and power of Fortissax is simply marvelous. Outstanding job!
I'm surprised I didn't comment on this beforehand when I first found it, but I just have to say this is so well done. Takes an already amazing song, and just knocks it up like three notches. The crescendo into the second half is AMAZING btw.
Thanks for listening and glad you're enjoying it :) I cast scan to target any weaknesses then swap my equipment accordingly. From there it's a combination of time magic with a sleep resistance ribbon equipped.
I appreciate the enthusiasm haha - I'll get to it eventually. I can only do an Elden Ring track every now and then. It's a very long process to get them to this point. Maliketh's theme is quite complicated and layered and it will take a while to transcribe accurately.
Just stumbled upon this. Amazing work. I would love a breakdown of the DAW project and orchestration decisions. Would be an immensely valuable insight into this kind of music for me and maybe not so much work for you, as the project is already sitting on your computer. Keep it up
That's great to hear, thank you! It really is an exciting track. I'm planning on releasing an updated version with both phases. I released the first one long before this so the mixes don't quite match up.
I wish I could do that without worrying about the algorithm. If people skip the beginning to get to their favorite part it pretty much kills the whole video unfortunately. I've watched it happen with a few of mine in real time. Kinda sucks but I can't risk it even though it seems simple.
Thanks for listening! Glad you appreciate my orchestral versions. I've produced in a lot of popular genres and all I can say is the difference in how much time and focus these take is kind of bonkers by comparison.
I love your version. A big congratulations to you! Could you do an epic version of phase two of God Devouring Serpent (Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy) please?
Amazing, the fact that you made your own lyrics to the style of the music is phenomenal. This is my favorite rendition of the Lichdragon Fortissax theme by far. The only problem with it is that the vocals are a little too quiet. The vocals are so majestic, but they're drowned out by the instruments most of the time.
Thanks so much! Yeah I agree with you. I'll likely improve parts of the first and second phase when I release them mastered together. I appreciate the feedback!
I hope people find that first part pleasantly surprising. Fully exposed acapella choirs are a nightmare to program. I love it though - it's like taking on a soulborne boss in music production form.
@@xX_wiLLiam_Xx Hell yeah :) That was kind of a last minute change too. It's what I wish the fight actually communicated (I imagine they were short on time or something). I think Fortissax could have really used a "guiding moonlight" moment so I kind of went for that here
Hey, arefamiliar with string instruments? I am working on a mock-up of "Divine Beast Dancing Lion" by Yuka Kitamura & Tsukasa Saitoh. At bar 9, or around 16 seconds, there is a part played by what I believe to be different Chinese string instruments. However, the playing style is very harsh, and I am struggling to achieve this kind of sound. Any advice or ideas would be valuable. Thank you! Also great mock-up!
Thank you very much :) Dancing Lion is a pretty challenging piece for sure. I think you could get away with a small, agile, close micd string section if you layer the more traditional string sound at some key moments. Sorry if that's vague - I haven't worked out that part yet. What string libraries do you use? It could be a good opportunity to explore building a custom instrument to tackle the problem. That's what I do when hit a roadblock and I've gotten a lot better since I started doing that. Also I'm broke and can't afford these overpriced libraries lmao
@@voxerrorNot vague at all. The track was waaay more difficult than I thought but i just love it. I've worked out something, but it's still a bit far from the original track. I have quite a few libraries that I've accumulated over the years: Chris Hein Solo Cello (which I used for the dancing lion because it sounds similar to the cello in the track), Chinese strings from Strezov Sampling Jade, Berlin Strings, Metropolis 1, 3, 4, Alternative Solo Strings (which actually had a violin that sounded pretty nice with their unusual mic positions), and some other libraries. I have too many, I think, because at the end of the day most of them sound pretty much the same. I have wanted to build my own bowing instrument for a while now, but I think I've been procrastinating too much to get it built yet.
@@voxerror And yeah these libraries are waaay to overpriced, Spitfire Audio releases a new string library with only 1 new articulation and puts the price tag at 500+. But I've gotten some on sale and some I've pirated years ago...🏴☠️
It's made up but I designed each word myself. It's loosely inspired by a few different existing languages with a heavy dose of fantasy. The vibe I'm going for is familiar but generally jagged, jarring, and chimeric - like the crucible splicing and morphing a bunch of past, present, real, and fictional languages together in a way that biases toward musicality and flow. There's definitely some meaning behind the words, none of it is random - even though it adheres pretty closely to the phonetic structure of the original. Could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's all or mostly virtual choir phrases anyway so I wanted to give more intention and shape to the words in my version. Thanks for your question! It was a lot of fun to make :)
@@voxerror That's super cool! Seeing creativity like yours in OST covers is sadly somewhat rare, so I really appreciate the time you put into making this piece and how you made it. Keep it up!

1:15 deadass made me tear up man

X2
2:45 makes me go absolutely insane crazy. keep doing what you're doing
Amazing! I was imagining Fortissax in his prime fighting Godwyn the Golden the entire time I was listening to this!
I can imagine such theme fitting with "Godwyn, the Golden."
bruh
Epic ❤

It's beautiful🥹
This is hands down the best elden ring ost remix I've ever heard.
Serious, this version is out of this planet.... THAT'S PERFECT! I've been hearing it like a thousand times, and won't stop sooner
God, this whole piece is absolutely amazing, but 2:20 and onwards is just something else entirely. Goosebumps.
Oh my goodness this is BREATHTAKING. Fantastic work on this! I've replayed this so many times
I listen to this everyday, insane talent
That's so awesome thank you. Got the algorithm mind fkn me over here but this still totally made my day.
@@voxerrorAlmost 100k views on this now. And it showed up for me, so the algorithm must not hate you as much anymore!

You are really amazing and taking it seriously, you even added the translations, that must be a lot of work.
This took months. I started it before the first phase. I posted that one 8 months ago.
😵💫oooooooooowwwwwoooooowwwwwwwww this is amazing ,,,,it is an honor thank u
This is soo good, amazing work!
The boss should have more health and bump his rank of importance
Oh my gosh how do you even make this more epic?
