OH and don't get me started on that ballad song that EVERY video likes to play over movie clips and skits. I'm tempted to auto dislike every video that does that. And someone who has built and sold over a thousand PCs in his life, cable management can easily be overestimated and it's importance. If you're not running really hot equipment, it's just about aesthetics.
Yup. Cable management in your pc can also make things harder to work on or replace. Nothing more annoying than having to snip 35 zip ties and reroute 4 cables to replace a fan.
@@Username-2exactly why I have a semi neat cable management 😂 not too many zip ties and things to leave it stuck but not too messy where it’s obnoxious or horrible to look like but nothing too special
@@Tofu6969 I just leave everything loose in the back so wires are easy to pull out. No one is gonna look back there anyway. In the front I make them look nice but that doesn’t require any work really unless you’ve got a super complex setup.
I like how extremely tame and nice the back cables are, like OP tried his hardest to make it look bad but that's as messy as he could manage. Meanwhile my back panel has a bulge from all the fables pressing on it. Front looks clean though.
When I first started building PCs we had to deal with ribbon cables. It was a real skill to make those look neat and tidy inside the case. I remember we used to fold them into triangle shapes at just the right length to make a neat 90 degree from the motherboard to the HDD or CD drive... or floppy. Damn I'm old.
When I first started building PCs, the ones I was working on didn't have back panels. You had to manage all your cables in the main compartment. there was nowhere to hide them. Also yeah ribbon cables. IDE mostly. gotta make sure you set the jumpers on your hard drives. No PC can server two masters.
@@KaityKat117 Ah yes the HDD jumpers. Sometimes they were not labelled and it was a game of trial and error setting the HDD jumpers. It was a real problem sometimes because if you accidentally set your boot drive as slave and the system posted, you'd get a no boot device error. Back then when we saw that we'd drop in a boot floppy to repair the MBR and if you did that with your boot drive set as slave, you could break the MBR on the boot drive. This was of course before dual boot was a thing. SCSI was even worse as where you connected the SCSI drive on the ribbon cable really mattered in addition to the drive jumpers.

One thing you might could recommend in one of your videos is to unplug the fan cables from your motherboard prior to blowing them out with a blower. If the rpms get too high, it could send out of tolerance voltage back into the socket and cause damage
Thanks! I appreciate that. While I wouldn’t say these are easy to make, there is a good amount of time that goes into it. Thinking of the idea, script, filming multiple points of view, editing, color correction, captions, etc.
