@@rupikajain2883 I never said Gcam is bad. It's good in most of the cases. But in some photos, stock camera outperformed gcam for which he was biased.

I am using gcam in Redmi note 3 from late last 2017 I guess ..for hdr mode then in updates there portrait mode wow.....Dev's are really amazing thankyou😊

Yup me also. May be there is some difference shadow contrast but they can easily be corrected even in google photos default editor. Not much editing skills are required.

Great topic, I have Galaxy S7 and the camera performance is very good but after install gcam the camera performance is just terrific and ite enhance dynamic range, detail and colour reproduction.

I have a Poco F1 and I almost never used the stock camera app
I even removed it from the home page because I don't want anyone else to accidently use the stock camera & complain about the image quality...
Well I have to admit that it took me a lot of time to get a proper G-cam for my device...

I have poco ..gcam is awesome ..only problem is night mode in gcamera make night images look like they r taken in a day..and also gcam night images becomes yellowish as compare to normal camera.

I was about to download gcam but most of your video showed totally opposite to what you talked in it. It seems that for most phones stock camera takes better shots than gcam. Exception here is the portrait mode - gcam here really showed better shots but for all others stock camera photos looked better on your sample photos.
Gcam has many bugs

Many get scammed thinking gcam will improve their experience but it's full of bugs

It mostly depends on your device and is usually not optimized well.
Look at 4:59 the mi camera will have better edge detection (look at his hair), blur and details.
This is all what I was asking from you guys from the past 6 months and now that u have done that I loved this comparisons....I think u guys should do it more oftenly ✌️✌️✌️

Dude, you blind or something? A lot of gcam photos were highly saturated and have imbalanced contrast. Again, you blind?
I was looking for this comment, I 100% agree. While it may have improved some photos on some phones, so many seemed to do little or even seemed to downgrade the photo.
@@pi3.145 Not to mention it completely fails in highlights, their computed blur is sometimes funny (edges). Seems to me that author sees only saturation and local contrast praising something that is really not there.

I didn't find it to make much difference but also I don't trust unknown apps. No matter what anyone tells themselves the camera from an actual pixel is far superior

I use gcam on my Galaxy S7 with enabled Samsung live hdr and the results is surprisingly great, yes Google camera is the father of all camera's because the great image processing.

At 2:40 .... Yeah it's clear which is the better photo.. the OnePlus photo is far better in terms of edge detection.. however the colors are better on the Gcam..

I use GCam on the Poco, and I approve this message.
But with a slight caveat. Portrait mode on GCam doesn't have amazing edge detection. Take an off-angle shot of people wearing specs and you'll understand. Sometimes even the ears are blurred out. I hope Beebom does comparisons with this in mind while assessing portrait modes. So while I am not one to praise GCam portaits to high heaven, it does make a hell of a difference in regular shots.

There is one more thing, we can shoot RAW in GCam . So we can click underexposed photo and bring out highly detailed photo in Lightroom.

People troll Google phones and it's price but then use Google camera app and praise their own camera. I would purchase Google phones just to have great compatibility with gcam. And being a proud user of pixel 2 I've have no regrets using it.
Saturation is set at medium. If you can make it low, the photos in gcam look natural maintaining the same sharpness
