Well done! Local Craig’s list here near WILKES BARRE PA has great vintage stuff… lots of older hams dumping their boat anchors, buying new SDR Radios and moving to FL !!!
Universal Radio has used listings as well as a sold listings on their web page. Although I've only bought new from them, I always check out the used and sold lists.
It's called "fishing for idiots"! $40 for a Baofeng 888S is nuts! It's a $9 radio. I paid about $14 each for them, but I got 2 radios, 2 chargers and 4 batteries for that price.
@@HAMRADIODUDE Alas no…. Sold it to my ham friend when I went to sea as an RO….. Hobby radio was less appealing when radio was my job. Interest being reignited!
Hey dude and your neighbor up north in Antioch! I'm too discouraged at this point finding a radio. Not sure what to do with my budget because I need all the hookup stuff, ps, tuner, etc.. Ttyl kd9uqe
It's been fairly slim pickings lately, locally. Do you have a budget set for yourself? There is a hamfest on May 1st in Sandwich. Usually, I find fairly decent deals. I would love to hear your budget and more about what you want to achieve in radio (voice, morse code, ft8, 2m only, etc), so I can throw a few ideas your way. Feel free to send me an email (on my UA-cam about me page) or join the Clubhouse discord - discord.gg/2dMu9HtK .

Great vid my friend..73 from fellow triple letter ham!
Great places for finding used gear
is a ham radio license required to buy and sell equipment?
Not at all
To think when I was 13 back in the early 80’s my Kenwood TS430s cost me close to $1000 Oz dollars! When I was making $2 an hr!!!
Do you still have it, by chance?
