- Here’s how you can track Google Analytics 4 events without Google Tag Manager. But this means that you will need to work directly with the code.
If coding (e.g. JavaScript) is unknown territory for you, you should handle the task to your developer.

this video deserves much more views
Great video, i now value more working with gtm! Doing it this way so much harder
If I create custom event with name widget_opening, widget_closing using gtag.js, they are visible in debugview. But why are they not visible in Reports->Engagement->Event in GA4? What is the way to track them in Reports->Engagement->Event?
I think you need to use the explore instead of reports for that.
OR also add a custom dimension with your parameters
exactly what i needed. thank you :))
Amazing video Julius! It helped me realize that the problem I have is more serious than I thought hahahaha.
Quick question:
My client can't link Google Tag Manager nor Gtag.js to their website, because it is managed by a third party and they just won't do it (bullshit, I know). So, is there a way to create a conversion triggered by clicking a button that is NOT part of the website (it's a widget)?
It might be a confusing question but I tried to be as clear as possible. I don't have access to debug view (since GTM is not connected to the website) and when I press F12 on the website, I don't see the same parameters you showed in the video. I see others that might help to set the conversion, but I'm not sure how to proceed.
Thanks and again, AMAZING VIDEO!
thanks a such clear information. you save my day .
How is this different now that the Google channel in Shopify officially supports connecting a GA4 property? Will that automatically handle events & datalayer info? Or do I still need to set up something separate for that info? (I’m not using GTM)
Brilliant video, thanks so much! With the custom event parameters, can they be used in GA4 reports too if we add them as custom definitions?
不错!
why configure option is not showing on my google analytics? please help
It was moved to admin
My inspector console is full with gtag default information. Is there a way to hide/disable that ?
Where the hell I can see this event data other than debug view? I need to export it. Can't find it in the godforsaken marketing jargon hell house.
In "Reports" and "explore" sections
@@AnalyticsMania I need exact event data in table form. I don't neet its metric. Reports section makes up its own metric of counts of everything. I don't need that. Explore just make you report of event name. Cant see parameters passed anywhere.
Can add this video's in paid subscription
You mean my courses? They are about Google Tag Manager. This video has nothing to do with GTM.
biggest problem is they both fail sp
