Rapide doesn’t mean fast. Rapide refers tumultuous water, like waterfalls. And he explains how is fighting against the “rapide”, the waterfalls that are coming out from the eyes of his lover. A lover that restricts his freedom with guilt but that in the end is more shallow than he is. Even if he doesn’t shed any tears.
Exactly, but it can be depending on the context of the sentence. If I'm not wrong you can say: sono rapide, they're fast or sono rapide: they're rapids. Correct me if I'm wrong. Sono mezzo italiano.

@@TweekerDub hi! Maybe this answer is a bit late. Anyway, "rapido/a/i/e" means "fast" if used as an adjective (even thought "veloce" is the word we usually use) . As substantive "rapide" means "white water".
The story is as always personal, mahmood is a songwriter who tells about his life. Rapide is about his last very important lovestory, that ended before last summer, it was a toxic relationship and he discovered his boyfriend was cheating on him..
The first part of the song are the words of his ex when mahmood discovered the betrayal (it's normal to go to bed with other persons etc). It was really painful for mahmood, that guy was very important for him.
Rapids is a metaphor, representing the tears closed in his eyes and he, mahmood, trying to react to all this pain without being overwhelmed by these rapids.

The rapids he talks about are probably nothing more than the tears of the person he loves (rapids locked in the iris), who is trying to convince him to stay despite a betrayal.
Mahmood, however, does not seem to fully believe these tears, and with "I will take a train for i don't know where" and "in your rapids I will not fall" suggests that he preferred to move away from this person.

He was in a relationship for I think a year or a few with this well- known man. And there was some difficult times and arguments. Last year around summer they split up and I think it this song may be based on that relationship or just in general although he doesn’t specify directly in the song. This information was released on Italian media outlet talking about Mahmood and his relationship with the man. And yes, he writes his own songs with the help of some of his friend producers like: Dardust and Charlie Charles. I love the song either way and I think he has produced amazing songs with true feelings! 👍🏻💚

I don`t think that there were rumors about Mahmood, he came to Israel with his (male) partner , they shared a hotel room and traveled together and, if I remember correctly he uploaded many pictures to Instagram with him. That being said, I think he is a very, very private person who wants people to focus on his music and not his private life. This song is stunning, without any understanding of the lyrics he can bring you to the edge of tears simply because of the depth of the emotions that he manages to convey through his voice, I really love him and wish he would do some English language original songs though I think I heard him say in an interview that he doesn`t think that his English is good enough: I know... someone should tell him how sexy an Italian accent is considered by English speakers. If the rest of his new album is as good as this I think that maybe it won`t really matter too much and he`ll have huge hits worldwide even in Italian. I can`t think of anyone else from Eurovision who has released music of such a consistently high standard, not from last year or any other year since ABBA won with Waterloo. I hope he gets the recognition that he deserves and it certainly doesn`t detract from his music that he is hotter than the sun... and I totally agree that he was the true winner of Eurovision in Tel Aviv. Also... he`s the only performer to come back and play a concert in Tel Aviv after the contest, it wasn`t a great concert because, at least where I was standing ( as close to the stage as I could get ), the volume was so loud that it distorted the balance between him and the other musicians, but it was a nice gesture considering that before the contest there had been rumors that he wasn`t going to come to Israel because of his family background... not only did he come but he came back and was really pleasant in his interactions with the Israeli press ( who can be difficult at the best of times) and with the public who returned the love tenfold.
Yep, you summed it up perfectly. He conveys emotion so well without the need to know what he is saying. His voice is so unique, and his song construction is also really standout. I'm not sure if English would work for the way he makes melodies; Italian to me sounds much nicer at speed and complicated melodies like he uses, I just don't think English has that much poetry to it when sung like that! Obviously though we'd love to hear him give it a go! I like that he is private and doesn't mix his art with celebrity gossip behaviour, but the context of this song and the video and message conveyed by it is so beautiful, and so him! I love this song, its melody and Mahmood's special style of combining singing with rhythmic talking. Mahmood's voice sounds great, and I love the falsetto in the beginning. I only wish they used less auto-tune. In some parts of the song its effect is too much for me.

We are so accustomed to buying our way into things, having the right connections with people or being a certain way (doing something) to get where we need to be in life.
With God, it is different. He does not operate off the same principles as man.
God calls you to Himself just as you are. He is not expecting you to do or say anything before you get saved. He accepts you as you are, right now…today.
There is nothing you can do to make God love you anymore. There is nothing you can do to make God love you any less.
There are 4 simple steps on how to get saved:
Recognize that you are a sinner. (Romans 3:10, 23) “There is no one righteous, not even one… for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”
Recognize that Jesus died on the cross for you. (1 Peter 3:18) “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.”
Repent of your sins. (Acts 3:19 NIV) “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord”
Receive Jesus as you Savior. (Romans 10:9-10) “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”
